Does God Like All Of Our Questions

I wonder if God disapproves all these questions I've been asking about Him. I keep feeling like I should have blind faith and forget all the questions. Maybe thats why Adam/Eve wasn't suppose to eat from the "tree of knowledge"? Is it okay for me to question God?

Does God Like All Of Our Questions? Someone who questions is someone who is thinking, I think were not created with the ability to think, and then asked not to, as some believe.

There are some here who don't want me asking questions, or even being here.
---MikeM on 1/24/08

I believe that it depends on motive. Are you testing God? Are you just curious? I have found out by surprise, That God will answer silly questions, That I figured He would think was silly. I was wrong.

The parent is delighted in the times when his child personally asks questions, it shows healthy interest. But for Eve and Adam, it wasn't the tree of knowledge that killed them, but the disobeying of God to not eat or touch of the tree that killed them. Up to the point of disobedience they did not 'know' evil at all, but after they ate then they immediately had experience or the personal knowledge of evil. And since 1000 years on earth equals 1 day to God, and Adam only lived to be 930 years old, he did in fact die on that day as God said that they would on the day which they disobeyed.

Questions about why God doesn't send me proof (i know it's bad to ask God to proof Himself, but why? it would bring so many to beleive if He sent proof), or why I cant 'hear' Him like a lot of you do, or questions about horrible things I read in the Bible that God commanded done, or questions about why God doesn't answer me when I ask him personal questions. Just any questions.
---sue on 6/19/07

BUT please understand that I asked the above question about 2 years ago and since then I have learned many things regarding God's love and this subject. I guess maybe I was feeling guilty for asking those questions about proof. Today I know better. I am learning!

That depends. Who are we to question our Creator. We are only creative beings. In prayer ask Him a question. I am big on questions. I have gotten in trouble over some of this stuff. Alot depends on motive and the condition of your heart.

I agree with Lorra. We are told to seek, and to do so we may need to ask questions. However it's true that all questions are not for the purpose of seeking truth
---Christina on 6/18/07

Those with absolute blind faith may well be truly gifted by God. But for the rest of us, questions are natural and should be asked. God is our Father in Heaven and He never tires of us or our questions. If you read the Bible carefully, Jesus even said so.
---lorra8574 on 6/18/07

Sue, What questions? You have to be specific. So far you have told us nothing, really.
I asked God once, if the church that I was attending was the one true church. My mom who was a wonderful woman told me to not ask, but just believe. She didn't realize that we were in the wrong church, even though she ment well. Years later He answered me, and I left that church to find the living and true God. God is the final authority. Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father!

I don't know what questions you are speaking of dear. God wants us to bring our concerns to Him. We should always ask questions and talk honestly with our Father. He desires for us to do so. This is how love begins to form in the heart. But we must remember He is the Father and we are to respect that, at all times. He is God and we are not.

What questions?
---Jerry on 6/17/07

Were faith supposed to be blind, would the Bible speak of "eyes of faith"?

Do parents disapprove of their children asking them questions?

God loves hearing from His children, no matter what they talk to him about. Of course, He will not answer your some questions until you're ready for the answers, just like wise earthly parents!
---jack on 5/28/05

I don't know what questions you have been asking. The Bible says to ask for wisdom. James 1:5 Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 2Peter 3:18
It is good to ask questions. Compare the answers with what is in the Bible. You can find where different words are by looking in the concordance in the back of your Bible.
---Ulrika on 5/15/05

Sue, I thought questions about the church or the bible not to God. I believe God knows everything you are thinking already but wants to hear them from you. Whatever they are. Dependence on Him is great. He has things for you already, things for good and not for bad. You might not get the answer you want but God see's that it is the best answer for you. Don't be afraid to ask Him. He has always loved you.

You will be given many answers from many and some might not be correct. Check it with scripture. If a verse, check it with another verse. If they don't match, one is incorrect. Check the whole context of the verse. If its a human question about marriage or life, ask yourself what would be really ok with God. You will know the answer already. God loves you and wants you to know the truth. Learn to be approve. Adam and Eve sure messed up things. Life is not easy but a lot of fun with Christ.

Sister Sue, I believe that many don't ask questions and they are misled and don't even realize it. I have taken classes where no one ask and they accept everything taught to them. I asked one question and the teacher got mad. I believe we have to ask. Many are not schooled much in Scripture but say a lot of things about the bible and they don't know for sure if what they are saying is true or not. Continue to ask until you are sure you have it right. Especially the Bible verses.

Hi sue. I believe that God is more than happy to answer your questions. Growing up in a home and church where questions were seriously frowned upon, I ended up very afraid to ask anything for fear of reprisal. After meeting Jesus, He encouraged me to go ahead and ask Him anything and I did just that! God knows the motivation of our hearts and why we are asking. He will give you all the answers you need. Dont give up on it! God bless you.

"Turn you doubts into questions.
Turn your questions into prayer.
God answers prayer."

My wife and I have raised three wonderful children. I never tired of their precious little questions. I doubt that our Heavenly Father tires of yours.
---Jerry on 4/9/05

Thanx for the replies, I really appreciate them. Like I've said before, I guess I'll have a lot more questions when I see God! Jerry: the questions I've been asking on this forum about God, religion etc. for about a yr. or so.

There is a big difference between "asking God questions" and "questioning God" I am sure he wants us to be well informed, so he tells us to ask and we shall receive, goods
as well as information/guidence etc. That's No1. As for "questioning God" that is not a wise thimg to do for it produces doubt. That is what happened with Eve and Adam and see what mess that produced!

God resists no question, He is just exact in His answer. 'Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenace of his friend.' (Pr 27:17)

Sue, This is a big one that satan loves us to feel guilty about. It is not a sin to ask God questions. He is not an evil being that comes down on us like a hammer.
First off Adam and eve were not supposed to eat from the tree because God told them not to. This was direct disobediance. There is more to it than this, but later for that.
He loves you more than you can comprehend. If you have a sincere heart He is faithful, and will show you His truth. I asked, and that's how I got saved. The Lord bless you.
---John on 4/9/05

Hi Sue
The first step to know and understand God is to have a personal realationship with Him. God has provided that for us through Christ Jesus. That was and is the whole purpose of Christ dying on the cross. John 3:16, Epehesian 2:8 and 9 Romans 10:9 and 10.

God's purpose in giving us His written word which are the Old and New Testaments is to reveal Himself in history and through love letters. God wants us to have a relationship with Him through Christ Jesus. Just as we grew from a child to an adult, it is also so as we grow in Christ and the knowledge of Him. Donald3251

depends on what you mean by question God? God is my father and i can ask him anything.
---S on 4/9/05

I believe that God knew we would have a lot of questions, and that is the reason for his word in print.
