Greetings From The Old Blog

I just want to say greetings and welcome to all the new writers on the Blog. Before the format changed, I had never seen so many new names respond.I have been on ChristiaNet for 2 years and got used to the 'regulars'. I'm happy to see we have more regular writers. Shalom - Barbara in Nevada

That is most civil, and kind of you, NVBarbara. Thank you. There is nothing like a little bit of controversy to get the ratings up. Lol.

For some Christianity is an exercise for the mind. Memorizing scripture, mental exercise. Memorizing prayers, data, info, names, dates, places, more mental exercise.

Memorizing religions and doctrines, works of mental exercise.
Performing daily mental workouts using the blogs, exercise of works. Mental workouts can be addictive, withdrawal can be tough, especially over the weekends.

That's when blogging withdrawal goes to crazy town.
---Ted on 4/11/08

These 'Blogs' are the best thing I've found to make you think and to exercise your mind. It is written, 'Seek God while he can be found,' 'study to show thyself approved,' and 'there is a time for everything.' Everybody is wanting quick answers, but the solutions come from within.

Hmmmm....a liver I've heard everything...
---Ann5758 on 5/3/05

Laughter is like a medicine the Word says---it actually massages your liver and gets rid of impurities!
God bless you Willow.

Nah, not too talented Eloy! Just a way to annoy Elder, but let him know we love him too!
---NV_Barbara on 5/2/05

Barb, you got talent, what a neat rhyme.
---Eloy on 5/2/05

Ohhhh I'm glad I am a ChristiaNet Blogger.
This is one of the things I want to be.

Without Elder's sage blogs, what would become of you and me?

Wellll he can't make coffee that's not like tar and he saves his kidney stones in a jar. But we think that he's just swell, even though he cannot spell, we love him just as well, since his coffee we can't smelllllll!

We love him one and all, and with Jesus he's on the ball, Elder and Jeraldleen, we love y'all! (Sing along with the Oscar Meyer tune!)
---NV_Barbara on 5/1/05

Barb and Elder, you two are too good for me. You make me laugh. Your both a great blessing. Heaven smiles on both of you. And even some of the stiff host crack a smile.
---Eloy on 4/30/05

Amen Eloy. Elder and Jeraldleen know how much I love them, they are so precious in God's sight. Its a release to have one blog where we can all just be silly and poke fun at each other for a little while. (Ask Elder how he answers his phone!) Love all you guys!
---NV_Barbara on 4/30/05

Thank you Eloy I know Barbara will probably burn my telephone line. (She has been trying to get me tuned up for a while now nothing works.)

As for the water thing she knows the type of coffee I make with the water here. I also make little "Tar Babies" to sell out of the left overs I don't drink each day.

We do have fun here, Huh?
---Elder on 4/29/05

Elder, Bless you, and the Spirit of our Lord and his grace refresh you and renew your strength. in Jesus. Amen.
---Eloy on 4/29/05

I ain't no new Blogger, & me been at it for a couple years know me as just plain ol' Ann..some other Ann started posting, so I just added my ChristiaNet penpal ID (5758), to avoid confusion, which is so prevalent in those of us who are "older than dirt"................ hmmmmm
---Ann5758 on 4/29/05

Yes we care about each other and pray for each other. My prayer list has grown enormously since being on CN.
As Elder says, we really do love and care about each other. He's been around since before dirt and has picked up some good guidance. He's slowing just a tad though,he's old as water and twice as weak, bless his heart.

Elder, that's really funny what you said 'bout Barb, being born before the trees. But oooh i bet she's gonna gethcha for that one.
---Eloy on 4/29/05

Welcome to all the new blogers such as Ann5758 glad to have the old timers back such as Willow.

nvBarbara has great wisdom as she was born before trees.

Something that the "New Bloggers" ie "New members of the Forum Family" (I like that term better) need to know;
Sometimes it looks like we have got a good fight going between us but it never is a fight.

So, when it feels like someone is coming at your throat just remember that when they get there it was just to give you a hug around the neck.

We really do care about and love one another.
---Elder on 4/29/05

nv Barb, you got that right, you ol' Blog...i'm just kiddin', and you know i luv you sister.
---Eloy on 4/29/05

Yes Willow,TY, let me know how you are!

Gee I always thought I was pretty internet literate for all these years, Have been on "one of the other Christian channels" But had never heard of a Blog before. But I like the peanut butter and bottom of the shoe thing. Good to get to know ya'll
---Tami on 4/29/05

thank you nv are you felling better?
---willow on 4/28/05

Thanks Eloy, but 'blog' still sounds like a dry p-nut butter sandwich, or something stuck to the bottom of my shoe!
---NV_Barbara on 4/28/05

BTW, i looked up the definition of 'Blog'. It's short for 'Weblog' or 'Web log'. And it means to log or record on a web page. In Greek 'logos' means 'a word', and in combining form means 'a speaking or writing', as in 'monologue'. And the word 'logical' is derived from the word 'logos'.

---Willow on 4/27/05

Thank you Albert, I love you and our whole forum family, even Elder! We have our differences, but we often grow and learn through them. We all serve the same God and that makes us brothers and sisters. (Or Grandfathers in Elder's case)I couldn't kid Elder like this if he didn't know that I love him and his bride. God bless.Huggs...

Barbara please don't tease me as I get excited to think my living conditions may improve.

You know that I saw a Flying Saucer once..............I just didn't see the cup...BONK!!!

Plus, Jeraldleen taught me to fight. I had her down on her knees begging just last night. She was begging me, "Come out from under that bed and fight like a man."

PS. Gang, I have been here since early 2000. As many know this site was/is therapy and ministry for me as I have been recovering from some severe health issues.

---Darlene_1 on 4/26/05

How's about some of us old Bloggers letting the young'uns know how long we've been here. That way, maybe they can get to know us and feel like part of the family. I been Bloggin' here for lmost 3 years- always went just under Ann until someone else named Ann came on board. Now I use my CN penpal name- Ann5758. Welcome, all you newbies. We love you.
---Ann5758 on 4/26/05

Barbara, Barbara, I have no "smart" answers for you. I just knew when the webmaster said "Old Blog" he was speaking of you.

OH, how did I ever make it here for three years without you? (Oh, Yea, there is Jeraldleen!)
