Because the food processing industry, farming, and also pharmeceuticals are interfering with hormones going into the water, into rivers and being recycled...there are often groups of cases of indeterminate gender living around river mouths, that is, large cities with ports. Those whose water comes from upstream are less likely to have defects. Milk also contains many extra hormones to increase production, even though this is not needed, it is all just for greed. |

Many adults are drug, alcohol and smoke addicted, or have other bad health, and many times the offspring will suffer having birth defects and genetic anomalies which may cause chemical and hormonal imbalances, and yes I would say a possible physiological malformation could occur like a gender corruption in the infant. This is one reason why adults wanting to conceive and bear children should live a clean Christian life, for the two adults blood and constitution will feed the infant's. |

We need to remember also, that perhaps more than we acknowledge birth afflictions may not have a whole lot to do with God, but has to do with more of evil within the parents. Mabe drugs they were on, Or drinking heavely, ect. via: life style. |

If you are born with all the female parts you are a female and had better not intervene with modifications invented to make you 'feel better'. Same with if you were born a man. You need pschological help, not operations. |

Yes, after 6,000 years of sin anything is possible. |

Nature plays some dirty tricks on human beings. It is not of God. That is not to say that the victims are evil. Maybe they are being tested. If they blame God, then they are doomed. They should blame the devil. God can bless them no matter what. I am not against operations to repair damage/defects from before birth. |

For those that are born with both genitals I believe they have a choice to be one or the other the strongest features should reign, or the decision be there's where it is impossible to know. Otherwise people who use this ''in wrong body excuse are floating'' the guideline set in O/T and need serious biblical Counselling. No to the question! |

A distant relative of mine had two children who were born with male and female reproductive organs. Both were operated on at a very early age, one more than the other. The older remained male (both had been registed male at birth) the younger had the male organs removed and is now female. Both married, one officially, one unofficially. The older has never managed to father children, the younger one has given birth to two. This happens more than we realise and God allows it but it is hard to explain why. |

'God doesn't make mistakes.' True, but many newborns have disabilities. God called his creation 'good', not 'perfect'. There's no implied criticism of God if newborns with congenital heart defects undergo corrective surgery. God sent Jesus not to condemn but to save the world (John 3:17). This has to include inter-sex babies and adults alongside people of easily classifiable gender. I can't find scriptural reasons for not healing someone whose genitals don't match their hormonal or genetic gender. |

NO! But, perhaps this is one of those mysteries we do not understand. Yes, God absolutely always knows what He is doing. I wish that people, as well as myself, wouldn't get into so much doubt and unbelief over things we don't understand. |

These poor people are mistakes. Their souls have been born into the wrong gender. I have a boy, & he is VERY boy. I could not imagine how hard it would be on his little soul if he had mistakenly been born into a female body. What a travesty that would have been for him to deal with! I feel for these people so, & wish that people could just understand that mistakes to happen, look at the world we live in! This is not their fault & we should have compassion for their predicament, especially children! |
|
---shaundra on 5/16/07 |
People are more than a chemical or physiological attraction to other genders, and I know of a person whom had a sex-change operation, then later realized it was a mistake and is going to have the operation reversed. I think if a couple have a baby born with both male and female parts they should wait until the baby is at least 2 years old or more, because then the baby should start behaving or showing signs of either masculine or feminine behavior and the correct gender can then be rightly ascertained. |
|
---Eloy on 4/24/07 |
I have also watched a few of those shows and read a few general articles on the subject. What I noticed was that the people were often rejecting their own sexuality rather than seeking the other. And those who switched were taking on the stereotypes rather than the realities of the opposite gender. E.g. men would start drinking diet soda and eating salads after years of drinking regular pop and junk food. |
|
---lorra8574 on 4/24/07 |
P2: Women often could not afford the more expensive surgery to go "male" and would opt instead to go half-way and go gender neutral rather than be female. This signifies a psychological problem, probably stemming from some form of childhood abuse, rather than a physical problem.
In rare cases, it is possible for there to be some gender confusion, but this shows up physically and is detectable in DNA, where as Transgenders typically do not have any cross or opposite gender DNA. |
|
---lorra8574 on 4/24/07 |

What about babies born with their intestines on the outside instead of their insides? Or people born with NO sexual organs? Or born with both? What then? |
|
---sue on 4/24/07 |
Absolutely not: God made us all perfect and REMEMBER THIS: God is not a God of confusion. He is a God of order Amen. We turn ourselves into something we want to be. Not what God wants us to be. Dont blame God .. the devil will have you believe that God is evil when satan is the evil one himnself |
|
---jana on 4/24/07 |
In terms of gender it is possible that God chooses not to interfere. For example, God often times chooses not to interfere with weather. Sometimes, he chooses not to interfere with car accidents. Is it the sin of the individual? Not necessarily. It just may very well be events happening that no one has control over. |
|
---Chris on 4/12/07 |
Just as surely that Satan can create boils on Job, he can manipulate cells to cause unusual things to happen to the human body. For when Satan is bound, death and sickness and tears will vanish. When Jesus healed while he was on Earth, He healed after casting the devils out of the body because he had more power over the devels. |
|
---Steveng on 9/10/06 |
Those stating God doesn't make mistakes, are correct. It's medical fact some are born with both male & female reproductive organs and, sometimes, it's not the mother's fault (i.e. twin eggs didn't completely separate, but mom didn't drink, smoke, take any unusual drugs). Should we then assume God meant for people to be born this way? If so, should we accept them in their unchanged state? The Berdache think such people are special with no pressure to change or conform. Should we agree? |
|
---AlwaysOn on 9/10/06 |
I got to see a trans-sexual up close one time. It was a male who had changed to a female. The powers of darkness and evil that emanated from that person was horrific. Man will always find a way to justify such things, but that will never make it right. |
|
---Helen_5378 on 9/9/06 |
To claim that anybody is born the wrong gender is making God out to be a liar. Nowhere is this found in His Word. God does not make mistakes. Man errs away from God's truth when he claims such nonsense. |
|
---Helen_5378 on 9/9/06 |
I watched a show called "I'm my own twin" where they explained a recently discoverd phenomenom called Chimerism where a twin egg, instead of splitting into two fetuses, never separated and, instead, resulted in a single birth, but with the DNA of two people AND, in some cases, the gender of two different people. Too much detail to go into now, but there is medical evidence for people being born with both genders even though they may only exhibit one on the outside. |

The whole issue of transexuality/transgenderism and the related issue of intersexuality is too complex for computer chat. I sa a few such programs and asked my physician about them and he replied, "In human sexuality, things are seldom what they seem.
I find transexuality confusing--but how much more confusing must it be to the transsexual him-her-self?
(BTW--transsexuality and intersexuality are NOT the same things as homosexuality or transvestism.) |

Looking over these responses I have realized that some people who respond need to be a little more careful before entering their remarks, many things that I am accused of saying come from some of the other entries, and are not my own. Please, before you condemn, review all the responses from an individual. |
|
---Tim on 5/14/05 |
Looking at some of these answers, I would say many do not have much faith in God, and what He can do- the scriptures say ALL things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose- deformaties are a fact of life, some because of Sin, but there is always a reason for it- God is still in control! |
|
---Tim on 5/14/05 |
Trans-sexuals are people who have changed their sex, I wasn't refering to people born with both male and female organs, and you all must learn to be a little more selective in how you illustrate your disdain for a particular answer, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, don't condemn because they do not agree with yours. |
|
---Tim on 5/13/05 |
Tim, did you just fall off the Turnip truck? We are not under the curse of ancestors, possibly genetics could play a part. But we are talking about newborns who are born this way and generally are 'repaired' before they ever leave the hospital. If they have a womb and ovaries, the male parts are removed. Hormone testing is done, its a serious procedure. |
|
---NVBarbara on 5/11/05 |
C'mon Tim; This is the 21st century.God does not "bless" each birth(else they would all be perfect) What about con-joined twins, children being born blind and deaf,no arms ,and no leggs,c.p.,autistic,etc..etc... would that they were Tim, would that they were! |
|
---1st_cliff on 5/10/05 |
Tim gender change is different from have extra genitalia removed. Men change to women from choice and vice-versa. I believe this is wrong because God made them a particular sex. However my relatives were born a mix of both male and female and something had to be removed. This is no different from having an extra thumb and having it removed. I know someone born like that also, though not family. Are you suggesting that people born hermaphrodite should remain that way? |
|
---F.F. on 5/10/05 |
Tim on 5/10/05 -We're to be content in our situations?Where in Bible implies to not have hopes/plans for improving lives?Prv 16:9is make plans, realizing God guides us.Couldn't a gender change operation be a way of God working all things together for one who loves Him&a way God has given deal with it?By your thinking we ought to not fix any abnormalities or illness cuz it's the situation God has placed us in.Anything wrong with marrying someone of the opposite sex who also has had their gender changed? |
|
---Sheila on 5/10/05 |
SHEILA If it is possible that people are born the wrong gender, and it's because of the genetics of their ancestors and their sinful past, God will give that person with the defect a way to deal with it. God will not allow anyone to experience such difficulties without a way to escape (1 Cor. 10:13)(Ro. 8:28-30). |
|
---Tim on 5/10/05 |
SHIELA-Falling in love is a part of life, our very survival depends on it. When people change their sex, they never are completely changed it's impossible for a male to carry ovaries that can be fertilized, and for a female vice-versa. As far as marrying someone of the opposite sex who also has had their gender changed, it's an interesting concept. But the point is, as Christians we are to be content in the situation God has placed us. |
|
---Tim on 5/10/05 |
Tim on 5/4/05-Is it wrong for someone who changes their gender to fall in love and marry someone of the opposite sex who also has had their gender changed? There could be NO homosexuality in such a case cuz anyway one views it, the two people marrying each other are one male and one female. |
|
---Sheila on 5/8/05 |
If it is possible that people are born the wrong gender(and I think that it does happen),it's because of the genetics of our ancestors and their sinful past causing such abberant possibilities to happen within the genes of their offspring.God doesn't make mistakes, but we're all born with the mistake of sinful nature that we caused upon ourselves. We make effort to fix all sorts of physical defects people are born with(also because of sin and not because of God)and the wrong gender would also be a defect. |
|
---Sheila on 5/8/05 |
No a person isn't born the wrong gender. Those who wind up crossdressing or changing their sex are probably the victims of learned behavior. There are people born with too many x or y chromosomes, but this is rare.Example male has 1 y but has 2 or three x's.Even in that case they are still males but develope breasts ,or female with xx+y ,and grow a beard, small breasts. If the x&y chromosomes are in place ,xx-female,xy-male,in a person in a normal proportion then they are the regular gender like every one.So you see gender can be tested to see if normal. |
|
---Darlene_1 on 5/5/05 |
No, God formed you in the whom just as He intended, there are no mistakes. When someone wishes to change sex or he/she desires the same sex,it becomes sexual immorality, forsaking the natural use of the body, Romans 1:26&27. Sex is not a necessity of life, believe it or not you can live without it, you shouldn't be indulging in it unless it is as God intended it, any other way is sinful. |

Xanthi, no that's not what I meant at all. These things just happen. Although many are due to simple anti-biotics that a mother may have taken during pregnancy, or it could be genes. They can guess at best as to what causes this.I'll have a look on the Net. |

I still don't understand this. What about when people are born with an extra chromazone? They are born male, but with an extra female chromazone? or vise versa. All I hear is:"God doesn't make mistakes and if there is one, it's the devil". Are there any Bible verses about all this? luv, sue |
|
---sue on 4/30/05 |
ABSOLUTELY NOT! according to THE WORD OF GOD...and THAT is our guide book and manual for life in every facet. All sexual perversion is the result of a twisted, sin sick mind controlled by satan and his lies. |
|
---Eloia on 4/30/05 |
I haven't seen so much "medieval" thinking in one post as this one. More superstition than fact! God does not bless each and every birth. Kids born with aids because there parent(s) were HIV? incest? rape? The scriptures tell us to use the spirit of a sound mind! |
|
---1st_cliff on 4/30/05 |
One born with both genders is called a "hermaphrodite" is this a mistake? are "conjoined twins" meant to go thru life joined at the head? or abdomin? Birth defects do happen that have nothing to do with God! Many things affect childbirth like lack of folic acid, chemicles, alcohol, and recessive genes!etc..etc. |
|
---1st_cliff on 4/30/05 |
God makes NO mistakes, but people do. Some babies are born with both male and female genetalia. This can be due to drugs the mother took, or some sickness she had during her pregnancy. This can also be true if twins are conceived and one dies early on,the live twin will merge with the other.Generally if there are ovaries and uterus, they will remove the male parts.I had a friend who had stomach surgery, they found a full chin bone in her stomach.Absorbed from a twin that died early in the womb. She was in her 60's when this was found. |
|
---NV_Barbara on 4/30/05 |
Cathy, some people ARE born with both male and female genitals and they either live the rest of their lives that way or someone (usually after discussion between parents and surgeons) decides which part is removed. I have two relatives that were born like that and decisions were made before they were 2 as to which sex they would 'be made'. Only time will tell if the right decisions were made and whether these two will grow up feeling that they are the right or wrong sex. We don't understand why God allows this but He does just as He allows children to be born with other conditions. |
|
---F.F. on 4/30/05 |
God does all things well. He makes no mistakes. The sinful fallen nature of man may open the door for satan to come in and steal, kill or destroy. or to cause a birth anomaly. I would suggest sincerely seeking God in this matter as only He can advise us correctly for he knows all things, even the beginning from the end. |
|
---anita on 4/29/05 |
I know there are people who are born with both male & female organs...documented medical proof... and either they or their parents eventually have to make a decision as to how they are going to live the rest of their lives. I guess it's a birth defect, just like being born with no arms or legs. |
|
---Ann5758 on 4/29/05 |
NO...we are not made to be both genders! God said He made us in His image. There are some who have had to grow up being something they were not made because of the parents decision at their birth...the parents were WAY out of line! I don't even believe you can be born he/she people. those who are struggling with this need to really seek God and CHRISTIAN counseling. the world will tell us only something that is completely opposing to God and His Word. |

Maybe they were born the wrong species also.
Maybe they should have been born a dog or a worm. Or, maybe.....a Bird, Yea,..... that's it.... a Bird.
We see so many gender confused people that seem to only use the part of the brain that is the size of a Bird brain so maybe they were meant to be born a bird.
NOW! God made what He made like He wanted it made. Sin has affected His creation and people try to make excuses to be what makes them feel good with no concern for God's will.
God does not make mistakes!! |

God does not make mistakes. Only man makes mistakes. Satan works very hard to make you think that God makes some people wrong. (ie: wrong gender or homosexual) The bible teaches that God knew us before we were in the womb. |

NO...it is not possible to be born of the wrong gender...God says He knew us before we were even in the womb so right from the very beginning of time He knew what gender we would be born...those who go through transgender surgery are not doing so because of God's plan either...He never makes any mistakes, so trust Him that you are exactly the person God created you to be..... |
