Dear friend, this short space is way short of the space needed to answer your question. A real christian home is free from child abuse, alcohol abuse, wife and husband abuse, drug abuse. I am not saying it doesn't happen but I said a "real" christian family will not have all the above. They pray together and respect each other. Can you think of anything better than that?

Christ is the foundation. And when he is the Rock, all other ground is sinking sand. Please read Matthew 7:24-27.

No mostly they are not, although they are supposed to be.
Many christians marry out of selfish carnal desires, and are too picky in their partners marrying for worldly reasons and not for the reasond God would want them too.

The basis of a Christian marriage is that two people become one and the center of that marriage is Jesus Christ. If two Christians come into a marriage with that foundation, they truly do have a different marriage than those in the secular world. My husband and I made an agreement when we married and that was -- the world "divorce" would never enter into our relationship and we would not attack each other on a personal level when we had arguments. (By the way, all marriages have arguments.)

Rhea,it depends on whether you are talking about people who say the sinners prayer to escape hell or people who want to know the will of God and search for it and follow as they learn.Certainly a Christian marriage should be different.

Christian marriages are the conjunction of good and truth and this joining is interior for the love of good and truth, just as Christ loves the Church. It is not Christian for the man to have to search for the woman, they are created as one man, but since this is not heaven, the external takes precedence in learning good and truth.

In a true Christian marraige Christ is the solid foundation of the marraige. Spouses respect one another and grow together in God's love. Spouses pray together and read the bible together and have hope of a future together with God.
Love is not a word meaning to have sex love is a word meaning that you trust, honor and respect the other person in all you say and do.

Because they truly put God ahead of their relationship, then they work together, pray together, be a "married couple" & family together.

I wouldl love to continue believing that Christian marriages are different from others else I would just die of shock!I mean, what would be the point of waiting as I am now?

Yes....Christian marriages are different because Christ is the head of the marriage and everything revolves around His leading and guidance as long as the couple allow Him to...My wonderful marriage to my late husband was certainly a godly one as we prayed together, read His Word together, depended on Him together, and raised our family together in a Christ-like manner so it is definitely different than that of a non-Christian marriage...I couldn't even begin to imagine what kind of marriage a non-Christian one would be like without guidance, leading or direction from God above!
