God has a plan for everything. Not everything you desire fits into that plan. Not everything you dirsire fits Gods timeline. When His time is right, He will hear and respond!

To wait on God, you must never give up. I had to wait on God for three years. I even almost killed myself, but you need to remember, God will NEVER leave you or forget you.

I think you can wait on him when you have tried everything humanly possible. Staying within His Word, of course.

When you have tried everything, you then realize that only He can make things happen.

I believe you still have to put some "Feet to your prayers". You cannot be just a couch potato.

The Bible says "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Sometimes it hard to wait on the Lord I know from personal experience but hold on and you'll see what you need not necessary what you want come to pass. Trust in Him and don't forget to glorify Him in what you do.

Give it to God in prayer and dont worry about it, keep praying with faith that He is taking care of it and thanking him for the answer wheither is the answer we want or not, He knows best. Be prepared to accept His will and know it is for the best. Continue in prayer and in His word and obedience and He will meet all your needs. Just keep in mind, His view of needs is not necessarily the same as ours.

"wait on the Lord" means to pray and wait for the Lord to answer. But Exodus 14:13,14 came to mind when i read "wait in God": "And Moses said to the people, Fear nor, stand still, and see the salvation of YHWH, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom you all have seen today, you all will see them again no more for ever. YHWH will fight for you, and you all will hold your peace."

1. God's Word & grid system.
2. praying constantly (regular& earnestly) for honor and will of Jesus.
3. Advise of GODLY mature counselors
4. circumstances.
These are indispensable in finding God's will. God will never lead you to go contrary to his written word & principles. Example, I married without the approval of my Godly parents = DISASTER. They could see deeper and clearer than I, but I thought I knew better and defied God's counsel for me. Marry in hast, repent in leasure.

'Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands just as we told you so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.'(I Thess.4:11)

Live by Gods Word. The Bible tells us to not worry about lifes needs, Matthew 6:25-34.Live one day at a time.We do our best, and God does the rest.He is a rewarder of those who deligently seek Him,waiting on Him,trusting Him.We praise God for our answer to prayer before we even see the answer. Its saying God do whats best for me,and being on His time table. For everything there is a season. It's stillness instead of moving, listening instead of talking, accepting instead of rejecting.

My Dear,
Sometimes it may seem impossible to wait on the Lord ,but it is not impossible. With God all things are possible.
I believe we can wait on the Lord by praying and reading His words. His word is the direction that we must follow.Everyday when we read our Bible we have a new sense of direction. When it is the time He will let us know. We won't feel any guilt in doing what is right. He reminds us and let us know when we am missing something.I pray and then i feel everything is alright .You can try that too. Than you will get to realize that it is good to wait on the Lord.

None of us can make God move faster. He is teaching us as He answers our prayers and that can take alot of earthly time. Time to the Lord is eternal; however, He knows exactly when to answer our prayers in our time. He is our sovereign Master and knows what's best for us. So what to do? Read the Word, trust it, follow it, learn from it, obey it. God ALWAYS answers prayer in His way if we are saved, confessed up, prayed up, and following Him and sometimes even if we aren't. We learn wonderful patience by waiting on God to display His wonder working power in our lives.

One answer - I prayed but now I must wait for the answer. And hopefully I can wait with patience and eager expectancy/anticipation because I have prayed in the Lord's will. 2nd answer - Until the Lord returns or the 2nd coming of Christ, I am to continue steadfastly in my Christian walk. 3rd possible answer - Acts 1:4 awaiting the Holy Spirit - Genesis 49:18 "I look for you deliverance, O Lord".
