I was saved as a child. What a privilidge to be raised in a Christian home. You will find the story in the similar blog "What's Your Salvation Testimony" (presently at the bottom of the left side, soon to be at the top of the right side on the first 200 page.)

It is ideal for children to have christian parents for that is where training should come. But nowadays there is separation, divorce, cruelty and the like that would drive a mind outward toward the help they need. The Christ said work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. With me it was a cxombination of my grandfather, who was a presbyterian preacher, and circumstance.

As children, my parents sent us to VBS at a First Christian church- we never attended church, they just sent the kids to VBS to get rid of us for a few hours.I found a place to belong with caring people- I kept going to church, walking to church every week by myself at 13y, and committed to Christ. I later attended Bible college, and remain faithful to Christ and my church family. My parents never did accept Christ. I hope all those VBS teachers out there know they can be the one to change someone's life!

Mother 37 crushed getting cell from car outside school from a suddenly falling wall killed instantly. I knew & saw her weeks before. Song played in my head "No one knows the day, or the hour. But just rest assured time will be no more. He is coming soon." I could die any day/second it would be too late. I went through music, Video's & clothing threw away all I thought God wouldn't want me to have. I felt so complete now. missing nothing but wanting more of God. Born Again feb 2003.

When I was 10, some hippy christians were singing songs about Jesus at the Mall. This one song "You've got to be a baby to go to heaven, Jesus said". Being raised catholic, this song appealed to my heart and I accepted Christ at the Mall, after weeks of going and watching them sing. The seeds were sown and at 19, I fully committed my life. Although, the memory of asking Jesus into my heart at 10 is still as fresh in my mind today as when it happened. Praise God for hippies and evangelists.

I wanted the peace and joy that my father had. The change in him after he came to Jesus was amazing and I knew there had to be real power behind it.

Curt that is a very cool testimony.

i was attracted by his goodness. i was raised with the christian religion, but without any salvation, our middle class dysfunctional family had no personal relationship with Jesus. My first personal experience as an adolescent was when i walked to church alone, and i went up to the altar with Reverand Musser and invited the Lord into my life.

I didn't like it back then, but right now today, I thank my mom for making me go to all of those prayer meetings also.

I was raised to be a believer. When I was growing up, I always attended church, and when I was in my teens, my mom took my sister and I it seems, to every prayer meeting, bible study, and church service there was. At the time I would have much rather have been out with my friends. I was going to the church services, because I had to, and when I got grown I slip away from church. I thank God that He allowed me the time to really get to know Him and to give my life to Him. I will be forever grateful.

I was raised mormon, and the more I fell in love with God through the church, the more I loved Jesus, the closer I got to Him and then I finally found christian music at 14... I had sought such music for a long time previously... then my mormon friends told me it was against our religion... I wanted to know why they thought so, but it took me a good 2 years to realize not everyone was mormon. I found a different church... (it was built next to my mormon church) It was Assembly of God.

Barbara:
For the greatest part I have gotten to know Jesus over the years by reading and studying his word and other excellent books about him, some of which I carry on inventory in Pierre's Christian Book Mobile. The best: The Desire of Ages.
I am also very blessed to be married to a Christlike wife for 36 years who has shown me in person what he is like, rather than to just read about him!

I was raised in church and at the age of 13, The Holy Spirit dealt with my heart. I knew what it was and I responded and have been born again since that time. Sealed forever until the day of redemption. I am covered with the blood of Jesus and when He sees me, He sees the blood.

I came to the Lord through reading a book. Someone (who wasn't even a Christian) gave the book to my sister and she, my husband, and myself all came to the Lord through that one book. Nobody preached to us. Nobody spoke about salvation to us. All we had was that book. That was 22 years ago and we're all still walking with the Lord.

God's hand has always been on my life. My Mom was a believer and chose not to abort me in 1934. I accepted Jesus around 8 years old in my grandparent's Bible-believing church; however, the victorious life in Jesus did not come until 1989 when a sold-out Christian leader led me to recommittment. In 1995 God sent a Russian missionary who discipled me for 8 years. Since then I have been an on-fire, Holy Spirit to overflowing Christian. All glory be to Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

I had an uncle and an aunt that knew a couple that are christians and started a ministry. When my uncle died my aunt had prayer meeting at her home. I was about 20 year old. And what drew me to Christ was his words. It made since about everything in life. God is Awesome.

I like this question. I was deeply religious as a child. From the age of five or six to the age of 16, I was a devout Christian. We lived in Fort Worth
and attended the Travis Baptist Church. Sometimes I would not even leave the house on Sundays and just listen via the radio because I didnt want to do anything on the Lords Day of Rest. When I turned 16, I started to drink and smoke Marijuana. By the age of 21

I was so lonesome that I began to question Gods dealings with me. I had been good, had not fornicated, had not lied, stolen, disrespected my parents, coveted others belongings, committed adultery, killed, used Gods name in vain, practice witchcraft or worshiped idols, and when I could, I honored the Sabbath on Sunday. I renounced God one day, cursing him for not sending me someone to love and I threw up my hands and challenged God to kill me if he existed.

I remained so I mocked God and I left God until July 6, 2004. I met a woman who pretended to be a Christian and I thought that coming back to God sounded like the politically correct thing to do. After this girl dumped me, I really needed God and I didnt turn away from him and I wont. When I was little I wanted to be a priest, now I want to be a minister and Im studying to be that.
