I had to get on my knees daily and confess my weakness to the Lord and ask Him for the strength to obey His Word. I read and reread Psalm 51, and 1 Corinthians 6. It was a battle that took me months to break totally.
God is faithful. He gives strength to the weak. He loves you and understands your weakness.

Richard, I know how terrible it is to suffer with an addiction and still be a Christian. Just remember God loves you - NO MATTER WHAT - He will never stop loving you. I am learning to trust God and to overcome my addiction in HIS strength and not my own. Having said that, He still requires us to do our part. I have joined a 12-step group and am accountable to several people in my life for my recovery. The Lord wants me to believe that His strength really is enough in my weakness. God bless.

The fact that u had the courage to confess on this site, God really is interested in setting you free. My prayer for you today is that God will not leave you, until He has finally set u free from this bondage.

Richard, get rid of any immoral materials you have. Remember, all is fake. Concentrate on finding a good woman, deal with her in a very decent manner and when you get married you'll be very happy with her.

Richard, sometimes an addiction doesn't go away instantly because we need to learn something or we need to hurt for awhile. However, God has the power to break it instantly. Sometimes the addiction became strongly manifested over a period of time. Our walk with Jesus is a daily walk and daily he can deliver you if you seek him daily until full deliverance will come. Take one day at a time and seek him everyday. I will pray for you as well. God Bless

I pray God will make a way of escape (1 Cor. 10:13) for you & enable you to resist the devil's influence (Jas. 4:7-8) in your life. (Proverbs 3:5-6...) Be encouraged brother!

Sit down and write what happened in your life. Find the demon and 'heal thyself.' That was said to Jesus. Jesus is the mediator between you and God. Take what you find and offer yourself. What can you give in exchange for your life? What is happening in your life is like a broken record. You have to change or be more occupied. Work with your hands doing the good.

You made a courageous start by admitting your sin to us here. And though I do not doubt your sincerity, since we are not in relationship with you, and cannot lay hands on you and pray, this will be nothing but words. Not all of them even accurate. I suggest you have a little more courage and go to a believer who fully understands the finished work of Christ and confess the sum total of what you are involved in and recieve the restoration and deliverance you need.

Dear Richard: Don't give up. Keep trying to get victory from your bondage. Ask God for forgiveness and follow the instructions from John, Pierr and Ellie. They are wise words from people who care about you. God's blessings upon you! "Granma" Elsie

Please find a group (just like AA) Talk with you pastor. You will need support and someone to be accountable to. My husband has the same problem. Throw away all things that bring you to this addiction and replace with good things. I will pray for you. God will help you.

Allow Jesus to work in your heart. Pray for His strength and give thanks to His grace. Maybe this is how God will work in you... Trust him. Take care.
