Should We Witness For Christ
Forget your dreams and do something real by witnessing with your life! What I mean is this: Sometimes the Spirit will lead us to a total stranger at just the right time, but most of the time, you're best used by God if you share about Him with those who see the way you live your life! Are there any coworkers you haven't witnessed to? (Do so on a break or after work, so they know you're comitted, not being lazy.) Your family?

Well, what do you think. We have enough people witnessing for the devil. And doesn't it seem that unbelievers has more rights than God's people. Who owns this world anyways, the devil or God?

Mima ... Oh dear ... Should Christians not keep the grass verges cut?
I suppose we should not run errands for the housebound either, or help the poor?

I am absolutely flabbergasted by this statement."Some Christians witness by being good neighbors, (keep the grass cut, etc.)"
---Mima on 4/27/07|
Scriptures say that we should always be ready to give an explanation for the hope that is within us.

Every Christian is a witness - you are either a good witness or a bad one - but you are a witness. Not all witnesses are soul winners - and that's what causes confusion. Some Christians witness by being good neighbors, (keep the grass cut, etc.) others are good host(es), and still others are soul winners, a hard worker at the job, etc. However, people have to know you are doing what you do because you are a Christian and love the Lord.

Yes, Ella, I have... over 40 years ago, too.
How many times have you been born?

Spreading the good news of God's love is why we are on this earth. Yes of course we should be witnessing for the Lord every chance we get.

Hi Peter, The Holy Spirit will not leave me alone re your question. Whenever we have a question, go to the Bible which is the LIVING WORD; we must always follow what God says to us through it with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Witnessing is a COMMAND by Jesus (Matthew29:19), visiting the sick and imprisoned, right from Jesus' mouth (Matthew25:34-40). Respect this special dream-ask God to direct you. (Read Acts 2:17) Not all dreams are God-sent but this one certainly seems to be.

Jack, have you been born again?
---Ella on 6/2/05|
Daniel, Liked what you said, except for the dreams. I know that some dreams are just dreams, but not all. I have had an awesome dream about witnessing, (read the dream blog) and I know without a shadow of a doubt that God gave me this dream, because it was Bible based and it gave me the sense of urgency to witness even more effectively! By ignoring dreams or by forgeting them as you say, we can miss out on what God wants to say to us. The Bible clearly says that His saints will have dreams. Read it.

In John 4: 14 Jesus said: "whoever drinks the water that I shall give him will never suffer thirst any more. The water that I shall give him will be an INNER SPRING ALWAYS WELLING UP for eternal life"!
When you are FULL of Jesus, can you keep your mouth shut!! I can't!!

People need the Lord, so yes and yes, share you faith as much as possible.

Yes, we should witness daily where ever we go, even if you are student share to your classmate, in office, in your office mate. This is GOD commission when HE is on earth and were going to carried on,that we are going to share the gospel to every one. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! Have a nice day.
Sis. In Christ,

Hi Peter: Sounds like God is trying to tell you something. When the Holy Spirit knocks at your heart, it is wise to answer, like "OK Lord"! Read about Samuel in the OT. God had to call him three times before his teacher got the message that it was the Lord speaking to him. It's exciting to be "called" by God. Enjoy!
---Elsie on 6/2/05|
Peter: Yes, by all means!
If we have experienced the gospel as good news, we should want to share it with others.
Jesus actually commands us to witness, Math. 28:18-20 he tells us:"go and make disciples...and then (Note: Jack,Dewey, Eloy & Co.)
teach these new disciples TO OBEY ALL THE COMMANDMENTS I have given you...even until the end of this world."
We are called to be faith witnesses to JCh power in our lives empowered by the H.S. whom J.Ch. sent to help us out.

Matthew 25 says that visitng the sick and imprisoned are two of the things that we will be examined on at the Last Judgement, so it's obvious that such works of mercy are strictly optional. DUH!
Keep in mind that at the time Jesus said this, there was no missionary agenda intended. Simply minister to their physical needs. Roman prisons were NOT known for feeding their inmates balanced meals, remember!

We should always live for Christ.
On these blogs people are at different stages of spiritual growth. Some need salvation, others Bible study growth, some need friendship and caring, some need prayer for a particular struggle.
When a friend is in the hospital, you can visit.
But regular hospital visitor's programs and prison ministry are usually run by chaplains. Their helpers generally have specail short courses that help them with the ministry. Follow God's leading for your gifts.
---barbara67 on 6/1/05|
Of course we should."Go into all the world and preach the Gospel"or(tell how you came to know Jesus).."let your light shine"...WE are "salt"and not to lose our flaver. If you were sick or in prison, wouldn't you want visitors? Well,"do unto others as you would have them do unto you".Blessings to you.
