Why Didn't God Kill Satan

This is the second post in a row I have come across in which the person is questioning God. I think it is incredibly foolish to question Almighty God for his plans and workings out of what is in store for Humanity. |

Satan is a "tool". When Gods plan is complete there will be no need for that tool. Why should we offer suggestions or try to explain the actions God is going to take that has nothing to do with us??
However, satan is a created angel & , like all of his creation, God can do as he wills & doesn't need permission or our understanding to do it. |

Deb, you really are innocent. Whatever you believe, I am sure God loves YOU. But I am equally sure God hates some evil-doers, especially those who are out to 'prove' or brainwash others into believing he does not exist. Punishment is also real, or else God is not just. When he sent Jesus he met humans as their Saviour, and does so to this day. But when we next meet Jesus he will be a Judge to the Unbelievers. I really recommend you listen to audio sermons. |

Not one of us is loved more or less than any other. Each of us is doing our best. Jesus said in John 3:17, "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world, through Him." Jesus isn't going to throw up His hands on anyone. He is not going to allow our imperfections or ignorance to keep us from Him. He will be there when each of us dies, as He has been with each of us all our lives. |

Hello Rebecca, I believe what God has told me, yes, audibly. God never destroys in order to teach. He has given all humans and angels free will. If you truly believe that, how can you believe God will punish those who choose to go against God's laws? That would cancel free will. It would mean that God demands our love. He does not. (I have NO idea why Satan would choose to go his own way...seems ridiculous to me.) BTW, Ted's post makes a lot of sense. Peace. |

Hello Barbara, God respects everything He has created, humans, plants, angels, bugs, soil, air, animals, and Satan. He is always loving and kind. That is not to say God approves of every choice His children make. How could He?

In my view actually there is no Satan after his punishment physically

God does not uncreate what He has created.
Satan is a created being.
This is "proof" for those that believe we all go to sleep when we die. We do not.
If God killed satan, He would then kill all rebellious created beings - fallen angels and humans. God is sovereign and righteous, His judgment is just. God will judge the created beings. |

Angels are not given a choice like man is. Angels were created to serve God period. Otherwise, salvation would be for Satan also. Pride entered Satan and he wanted to be God. Revelation 20:10 tells of the devils fate. |

Deb: How can you say you believe in God when you don't believe what is written in his word(bible)? You say that God did not destroy the soldiers whom tried to cross over on the dry land with Moses, YES God did. And God did destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of the same-sex sins. God gives us free will to decide what we want to do. And Satan decided he wanted to take charge and not be under the Lord and be his own leader. And 1/3 of the angels in Heaven decided they wanted to be under Satans controll. Then they converted from angels to demons. I hope this helped.

This race is a marathon. I was once in a marathon and there was a famous athlete racing too, it was a Fun Run, and he got injured and dropped out. So I beat this world class athlete, so did 30,000 or so other entrants. Pride can drag people right down. It really is a burden we need to divest ourselves of. (I include myself.) |

God would have to destroy all the people who had demons in them, Christians included. So God has apparently decided to let us fight them out, with His divine assistance and with the Word of God. If we don't avail ourselves of the weaponry, then we cannot call ourselves His People. See Ephesians 6 for the weapons. |

Deb, Even if GOD "loved Satan with ALL His Being", He is STILL casting Satan into the Eternally Burning Lake Of Fire to be tormented day and night forever and ever. See Rev. 20:10. Although GOD is a GOD of Love, He is also a GOD of Wrath against ALL OF THOSE WHO LOVE SIN AND WHO OPPOSE HIM, angel or human being. So GOD's Love isn't doing Satan any good. Seventhseal, while everything you wrote sounds great but it has a great flaw. When we are all in heaven and worshipping and singing song with God, we will have no more free will. There will be no more sin. No choice to obey or disobey. No possibility of failing. Will we be worshipping God out of fear? Love would not exist as love if there was no hated, and there will be no hate. Wouldn't you say there wouldn't be any love or hate? What status will we have? food for thought. |

If God killed Satan and his demons, then how can one get closer to God and learn to lean upon him when trouble comes? We couldn't grow in Christ. IF God had immediately zapped satan from existance for his act of questioning God's Authority, then all of creation would have worshipped God out of fear rather than Love. To your 2nd question, yes, God can kill Satan at any moment. God could easily speak a word and change all things in an instant, or he could also speak a word and make all things vanish into nothing. |

The fact that God created Satan in the first place was to give him a purpose. God knows all. We were created in the image of God in order to worship him. We have a choice, however, Satan is constantly tormented by the fact that we choose to worship God. Why destroy him if you can torment him. Watch them deny you Satan. They're good.2) And God can do any thing, kill or create, surely it's been in the works since the beginning. We don't know what he knows, and it's a waste of living to assume God's plan. |

How can perfection be established w/o free will? W/o free will, we would all be robots. Adam & Eve were cursed because they chose to disobey GOD's direct commandment. Could we say that rather it was because of free-will exercised wrongly that evil has come on all; and conversely that because of God's free-will exercised rightly that righteousness is available to all who will?
Yet it is through man's failure that the universe sees better God's love (which was and is always the same), even under torment and death. This was revealed in Christ, the 2nd Adam who came to redeem from Adam's failure and give to man a second opportunity. |

Not sure that I would say God made Adam our representative, since he was that because he was our "father." Likewise your parents, grandparents, etc. were your representatives and may have sold/lost something that you may now consider very valuable. You reap the results of their actions just as if you had done it yourself. Likewise the good; and Jesus came as the second Adam and we can choose to be His children by faith through the Spirit. |

2. Because of Adam's free will, the world went in the curse. But through sin God is able to show the riches of His glory in giving us a way out, through His Son. The Seed of Abraham. It just shows what free will can do and what God can do if we depend on Him alone. Satan is unable to be redeemed because the Lord came to save His people not satan or the angels. Why the whole world for one man's sin seems unfair to us. But God is not fair in everything, though to His standards He is righteious. That wasn't God's plan. He knew that satan would mess up and try to rule. If he did, then no one would know what grace and mercy was. We wouldn't know what hate was or being angry or any sin for that matter. Satan's time is coming, if one would read in the book of Revelations is tells us that God throws satan and his angels and the ones that reject Jesus into the lake of fire. |

Or when Satan tempted Christ his Maker, God the Son could have turned him into a grass-hopper, but instead he is letting him exist for a season. Although Satan is evil, he still serves God.
