How Long Can I Wait
God gave me promises regarding my family settlement as my wife died in 1986 due to cancer in larynx. I am looking unto God for the fulfilment of His promises as I am in Gospel ministry. I look forward for His Gift to Glorify Him through medical services to win souls for Christ. How long can I wait?

You can wait as long as God waits. If the Lord wants you to have something then He will give it to you in His time.
As soon as you learn to give this matter up and go on with your Ministry you will be better off. I think you may be getting in a hurry for other reasons.

we are to wait to the end, as long as we will see the fulfilment of things what we have been looking for...
Abraham waited 25 years for his son.

Everything in God's Time not ours.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a man's misery weighs heavily upon him.
God has a plan for you. Trust God, serve God, and delight in what you have.

Do you mean a settlement from your wife's will or trust after she died? I dont think you need a promise from God to get it. Legally you should inherit this. I mean no disrespect if I am mistaken on your idea of the word "settlement".

As long as God wants you to. Be patient, and if your desire is in God's plan for you, then He will let you know in no uncertain terms. God bless.

You wait until God tells you to. If He gave you his Word on something, then you wait until He says otherwise.

How you think win souls for Christ? Isn't it our testimony? Seek the Kingdom of God first, all other things are given. It's not ours to decide when God gives his gifts. Patience must be learned too. Moses was 80 y.o. before God could use him! God needed 40 to make a someone out of Moses and needed another 40 to teach him that he was a "nothing". After these 80 y. God could use him! Let "streams of living water" flow out of you first, as a testimony (Jn. 7: 38)!

Ask your self this. Did God lie to you? Answer: NO Numb 23:19
Did His promise to you depend on something you must do first?
Did He promise you anything at all or is it wishfull thinking on your part?
So, we know He did not lie and will keep his word. Then it is a matter of:
a. Putting words in His mouth. Believing He said something when He did not.
b. Making sure we keep our part of the bargain.
c. Waiting on His timing.

Dear Francis, What does waiting for a settlement have to do with anything? If God has called you into Gospel ministry, you do it and trust God for the finances. He knows when the timing is right for everything; otherwise go on about your business of serving Him. Blessings!

Read Ken's biblical reply again. God has a plan for you. In His time, he will provide as He knows you need Him to reveal this plan to you. If you doubt God, the devil gottcha. Stand brave for the Lord.
