How To Submit Two Answers

Im tired of having good answers and only 85 words max in these blogs to answer them, we should have more space to express ourselves fully. I'm tired of having to find a good way to cut of a good long answer and shorten it.. am I the only one feeling this?

Yes--I do feel the exact same way. A better system need to be put into place.Until then, as I try to do in all things. Show christian love. I do happen to like this site so I will concede to their wishes. We cannot have our way on everything. We must cater to the wishes of others, sometimes. This is one of those God forsaken times. Follow peace with all men....Titus 2:11.

Editing a post to 85 words will teach you to be a better writer. That also causes work sometimes.
I notice no one complains to the News Paper about how few words are used in ads. Maybe that is because you PAY to have those posted/printed.
In the Military I had to get my PRJ to receive my MPC when I was not CONUS but RVN in case my unit got QCd by HQ before getting a TWIXT of the OPSORD. Do you need a 10-6 to understand?
This addresses very few. So if that is all you want to reach continue on.

Why not compose yuor answer in "Word" ... then divide it up into separate sections, each within the 85 maximum allowed per blog.

Then you submit these individually, numbering them (say) #1. #2 etc

This means that you can easily see what you have already sent in ... if you try to compose your long reply whilst logged in to the site, yuo can easily forget what you put in the first part.

I have been reading some peoples answers to how to deal with anger managment I agree that doctors can help us in some ways. but I think we should seek god and ask for his guidannce first. God can help us faster than any doctor. SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND.

Sometimes I've got the same problem! Anyhow it is important not to write a complete new book! It's good to formulate our testimony or feelings in a few words. A few words mostly are better than a long story. An other way is indicating some Bible texts!

Not to complain but I also find myself editing my answers 3 or 4 times. WOULD LOVE IT IF WE COULD GO BACK TO 1oo WORDS!
---Pierr7958 on 6/16/05

Barbara ... I too find it very difficult to read some of those blogs containing the special abbreviations you suggest.

And I do not think that "4" instead of "for" helps ... it still counts as one word. And "b/c" is still one word and so is no better than "because"

(I think ... maybe moderator can help on this)

I have appreciated the discipline of reducing answers to 85 words. Sure, in some cases I answered with two posts but only if the Holy Spirit urged me to take a second look. Many of us tend to be too wordy anyway. I like the way Jesus answered......usually short and to the point with discernment, accuracy and listening closely to the real question behind the question.
---Elsie on 6/15/05

Barbara the way you suggest only works for people who also understand those short forms. I'd never heard of some you have just shown us so would have had difficulty reading them. Alan's suggestion is good. If I compose an answer and am told it is very much over the 85 I cut and paste it to Word and then separate it into sections as Alan suggests, sometimes editing along the way as well.

write your answer, then be precise & precie your answer, yes sometimes its tough but it can be done.but it would help if we had a little more leeway viz 90.One advantage teaches us not to be long winded
---Emcee on 6/14/05

I find answers that use the short-forms (2,4,r,u,..all like that)very disjointed and difficult to read. Just send one post within the 85-word limit, send it, and send a second one right away, carrying on where you left off.
---Ann5758 on 6/14/05

If only I could learn all the short forms that are available 85 might do it.
b/c - because
2 - to, two, too
4 - for four
u - you
GBU - God bless you
brb - be right back
tx - thanks
Incredible what a short course in short writing can do 2 85.
