Goodness I hope not. Ofcourse, I do not really know, cause, I do not know any real Christians.
---catherine on 8/25/07

Yes some people believe they can do what they want and still make it to heaven. Regardless of how longed they've been saved. If a person does not abide in Christ and he in them always and endure til the end with Christ, they won't make it into heaven. It is ashame that people are being taught to believe this way.

Mark ... You are right to use your real given name, but I it would be good to make it easier to distinguish yourself for others using the same name.
There is a "mark" who posts frequently, but when people reply to him, they address him as "Mark". His views are not the same as yours.
There have been the sillinesses of markb markh and various other marks who seem to have come to cause trouble.
Such confusion!!
You could indeed call yourself "Mark (upper case M)"

I have no idea who Kathr4453 is. I am fairly new to these blogs. I have been coming here for a few weeks. I was introduced to them by Jack, a long-time friend of mine, who has been posting here for some time. I use the name Mark because that is my real name. If it causes too much confusion with others using the same name, I may switch to different, unique name.

My posts are generally categorized by making statements and backing them up by quotes from scriptures or other authorities.

"When you quoted me, did you read the scripture afterwards..."

--Yes, and I replied: Any work that isn't of God, will eventually cease(be burnt up,it's corruptible, has a end) but the works/fruits of the Spirit, incorruptible, reason why Christians must have the works of the Spirit in their life. Please pray for understand in regard to (1 Corinth.3:14-15) , God don't contradict Himself...the enemy is very subtle, but this isn't: (Revelation 22:14-15).

Did Jesus died for us sinners while we were yet sinners? Seems the Scriptures say something like that.
---Mima on 8/24/07

Mrs_Morgan:

When you quoted me, did you read the scripture afterwards that was the basis for my statement?

If someone is saved, but lives a foolish worldly lifestyle, he will be saved, but most of what he does in life will go up in smoke:

1 Corinthians 3:14-15:
"14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward."
"15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire."
---Mark on 8/24/07

Every born again person was at first, filthy (Titus 3:3-8), needing Calvary/true Holiness, those who are really IN Christ don't walk in deceit/denial (Titus 3:10-11)(1 John 1:6-10)can't lie, can't sin, God's Word/Seed, Firmly planted in them(when one walks in the Spirit, evident, nothing too hard for the Holy Ghost, but He will not tolerate those who fight Him) (1 John 2:3-6)(1 John 3:5-10), God's true people have works of Spirit, not works/fruits of themselves, but of the Spirit, so they can't boast.
---Mrs._Morgan on 8/23/07

It seems like they do believe this but it is obviously a deception.
Remember too the story of wheat and tares. They grow up side by side. Unable to tell them a part. So many today claim to be Christians but their fruit says other wise. At the harvest the Lord will separate the wheat from the tares. Look us for our redemption draws near.
---Tsuanne on 8/21/07

(1.)Someone said : "If someone is saved, but lives a foolish worldly lifestyle, he will be saved, but most of what he does in life will go up in smoke:"

(1 John 2:15-17),

--You have clearly misunderstood the Lord's Word, God says very clearly that sin inherits death, and that theres NO respect for persons.
---Mrs._Morgan on 8/21/07

(2.)Any work that isn't of the Holy Spirit, will eventually cease(will be burnt up because they're corruptible, have a end) but the works/fruits of the Spirit are incorruptible, reason why Christians must have the works of the Spirit in their life. Please pray for understand in regard to (1 Corinth.3:14-15), God don't contradict Himself, the Word must be taken as a whole, under the direction of the Spirit, the enemy is very subtle, but this isn't: (Revelation 22:14-15).

Duane:

How does Heb 9:26 apply to this question?

"For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself."

Perhaps you meant 9:27?
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment"

Jerry - Once a person is saved, they are saved for life. One cannot lose his/her salvation. The thing of it is, though, is that as Christians we should want to walk the walk, so that we can talk the talk. If our hearts are not right with God, then witnessing (as God commands us) will be mighty difficult.

Sadly, yes. Once saved always saved is MANMADE not GOSPEL, It is an easy way of living but a poor way of dying. The end of it is Sheol, This manmade, self serving doctrine has its origins in the pit of sheol, and is dredged up by demon spirits to even deceive the most elect, who those being Reverends, Bishops, Priests, will spend the rest of eternity in hell itself. "There is therefore now NO condemnation to them which are IN Christ Jesus, who walk NOT after the flesh, but after the Spirit"(Rom.8:1).

The Word clearly says that those who are IN Christ,DON'T walk after error/the flesh, but DO walk after Truth/the Spirit. It's ONLY when a person is walking after the Spirit that they are NOT condemned by the Law(are SAFE IN Christ). God says choose flesh or the Spirit, says be ye holy through His Word(John17:17)(James 4:8)(Heb.12:15).

karen, You have the Once Saved Always Saved mindset, It's futile to discuss Grace/Salvation & holy living by the power of the Holy Ghost with you.The Word says PROVE things. Where's the PROOF that a Christian can fall back into darkness(without godly repentance), yet STILL have/inherit Eternal life? Show the Scriptural PROOF that disobedience/rebellion inherits Heaven, On the contrary, Some can/have given SEVERAL Scriptures proving the NECESSITY of godly obedience/walking in the Spirit.

Robyn :: Love is the easiest thing to administerBut it is the other forces That prevent us from using that love,Anger Hate jealousy harsh words thoughts our desire to be correct Pride covetuosness lust envy yes even Gluttony & sloth.Master those & the love flows Freely. These are human failings.
---Emcee on 3/12/07

Karen, I have to step in and correct you. Mrs. Morgan didn't say works saves us. SHe said these words "God expects His people to walk in [His] good works, God's people are saved by Grace,But are required, [before]ordained to walk in His good works,by the power of the Holy Spirit"
Notice she she said God's good works and not ours which IS Biblical.
---Matthew on 3/12/07

2) Karen, (Ehpesians 2:8-10) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faithand this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

3) Didn't Mrs. Morgan quote scripure? Christians have a duty. James said to test if your are in the faith. (2 Corinth 13:5)Do you test if you are in the faith by double checking if you are still believing? Of course not many are clearly not Christian yet still believe. You test your fruits. Check to make sure you are producing the Godly works of the Spirit.
---Matthew on 3/12/07

To those who do not believe that they have sin, please explain this scripture in first John 1:8," If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."
---Mima on 3/12/07

Miss Morgan, you turned those passages to give another meaning then what it was intended for. You added another meaning to the passage that is not there. For by grace you have been saved through faith, Here God tells us, we are saved by grace through faith. And so that everyone gets the message correct and not make any mistake in taking credit for that salvation He goes on to say, "And that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God,"
---karen on 3/12/07

2. Now comes the reason why He adds the rest to His message, "Not of works, lest anyone should boast. Knowing very well that many Jew's and many in this times would boast about how hard they work to earn that salvation, He makes it clear why they cannot boast. Because it is a gift of God. Completely different then what you said. I have found that you pick in the middle of a passage and grap some few words and make a case for yourself. Not What God meant at all. It is as clear as light.

No true born again Christian believe they can sin as they want and go to heaven. No true Christian has those values. Talk from the camp that believes been sinless is possible and Works for salvation is their goal. "Fruits of the Spirit is what a true born again believer has." Fruits is the evidence of that faith in Christ. For it is God who worketh in us, both to will and to do of His good pleasure. If someone loves to sin, God is not working through him.
---karen on 3/10/07

Yes there are people like that. "Once saved, always saved". they think. God has said in his word that he can turn someone over into a reprobate mind. Meaning they think they are going to heaven and things are alright between them and God but God blotted their name out and hears them no more.
---Rebecca_D on 3/10/07

Yes some think that, isn't it crazy? Just like the homosexuals, they think it is okay in God's eyes, for they were "born" that way. Please!! boy are they in for a rude awakening.
---Jo on 7/7/05

John the Baptist announced Jesus' appearance with "Behold the Lamb of God who taketh away the SIN of the world"(singular, not plural). There is ONE sin that Jesus came to take away; the SIN of putting self before God. All other sins result from notloving God with heart, soul, mind, will. A person who "continues in a sin/s" is not the problem; the Ultimate SIN keeps people from Heaven. And the only hope is to be Born with a New Spirit,One that cannot help but focus on God consistently.

I believe what is happening is that many are making the call because of some experience or vision or someone's testimony. That is not what scripture tells us. Its through God's Word, they need to hear, read, or know His word not someone's testimony, or someone's experiences. The preaching of the Gospel is not even use many times and many do come forward. Later they turn away.
---Lupe2618 on 6/20/05

Salvation is a GIFT from God, not a WORKS thing. We sin, we are given the opportunity to repent and draw near to Him again. The thing is, that we ALL have some sin in our lives, so does that mean that NO Christian is really going to heaven, nobody is above sin on this earth. Think about it.
---Maxine on 6/20/05

I think everyone has to stop and think before someone says that you have to be without sin. What is sin? Is one sin more then another? Sin is sin no matter what we do. To think that we are without sin to go to heaven will make it impossible for anyone to make it.
---Lupe2618 on 6/20/05

Of course if we are true Christians we will be doing a lot of good now with our works but only because of God, not because we are good by nature. God display's His Spirit through us and we work willing with Christ because we love Him. If someone is doing many things wrong on purpose, I would say He is without Christ, because when someone is save, his fruits will show through his actions.

Now of course as Christians the Holy Spirit does work in our lives and does convict us of our sins and we do repent, but that itself will clean us for the moment but we are by nature sinful. That does not go away until we die. If it was the case that if we have sin we don't go, then it means no one is going cause their is no one without sin. All come short of the glory of God.
---Lupe2618 on 6/20/05

We are all sinners. Not one is without sin. Now Eloy said he was so I guess there is one other then Christ. No matter how much we try to be good, sin is still in us. Until we are glorified. No one knows when he will die, and so it goes to show that you could have some sin in you when you die and that is not going to keep you from the kingdom of God. It is rediculous to think that at anyone time we are sinless.
---Lupe2618 on 6/20/05

I thought so.
---Jerry on 6/19/05

I don't know the complete answer, but we must AT THE VERY LEAST not want to continue in sin. Yes, I know I sin knowingly, and am sad about it...... and must return, again and again, to repent.... do you call that 'continue in known sin?'

If one doesn't repent, their not going to heaven. God never promised us a second chance. he gives them to us but it isn't promised. People go around thinking just as long as they attend church once a week they are going to heaven. Some people need to open their eyes before it is too late. One sin unrepented can keep a person out of heaven. If one has a known sin in their life they need to truely repent and get back in line with God. The road to heaven is straight and narrow but the road to hell is broad.
---Rebecca_D on 6/19/05

Believers, let us be careful in giving our answers. Only the Lord judges sin and who is doing what with whom, etc. Our focus is to encourage, love, forgive, and repent. Our job is to look to HIM, the Master. Sin will convict our hearts, and we will turn away. The Holy Spirit within a believer is strong, and there are reasons why the Lord allows some of us to experience what we do. Let us walk in love and look up to HIM. We do not know the hour someone will repent and come back to the Lord.
---Carol_in_Canada on 6/19/05

One of the primary ministries of the Holy Spirit is to bring conviction regarding wrong doing, to men's hearts. When a Christian struggles with sin, the Holy Spirit knows how to make him miserable. Because of this, you won't find a true believer who is happy with the sin in their life. They still go to heaven because our Heavenly Father has devised a way for us to be cleansed of that sin ... it's called repentance.
---DoryLory on 6/19/05

If one is sinning and knows that it is wrong, but continues to sin, there is no way they are going to heaven. One can fall from God and go to hell. Judas, remember him? he rejected Jesus. He knew him, walked with him, saw the miracles he performed but yet he rejected him. There is no such thing as onced saved always saved. It is not bible. God said he will/can blot people out of the book, he said he will. If one doesn't endure til the end, one can go to hell thinking their going to heaven.

Yes,Jerry. Christians can go to heaven even when they sin and continue to sin. Once saved, always saved. Jesus died for everyone's sins.He died once,so that means once and for all. The only thing is that continuing in sin means that you are out of God's will, and you need to turn and repent from it. Pray and ask God to forgive you and don't do that sin anymore.
