The Houston And Texas Blog

Anyone here from Houston or Texas? I am new to the city, and it would be good to talk to good people about what to do, where to go, and just stuff.

Houston, I couldn't live there. The commute, the traffic. Alot of eating places, shopping, entertainment. Not for me.

Hello there - though I do not live in Houston now, I am originally from there and still have a fresh and vivid memory of the area and all there is to do there. Let me know if you would like to email and I can 'help' you around if you like. kwj6879

Live between Corpus and Port Aransas. Started out as a "winter Texan" but decided 6 yrs. ago to be just be a Texan. Some folks think I was nuts to move from CO, but I've never regretted it! Have a Houston, but I prefer living on the "Redneck Riviera".

Some of the "US" with dim lights included you Bob! And here I thought you were a nice guy, you have the same name as my son!

Well, I'm from NE Texas. I don't much like Houston, to tell the truth, although there are lots of things to do there. Galveston is close by and that's a nice place, though. It depends on what kind of things you like to do, I guess.

Ah Houston, I can almost smell it now. The new refuse center for the Nation. Don't forget your boots!
---Bob on 7/16/05
