Dr.Rich, you are of course welcome to believe anything you like. God bless.

Dan. 11:40 speaks about the 'end time'. Was 2300 years ago the 'end time'? People tell me that the 7 churches of Rev. 2 and 3 were a long time ago. BUT-how can that be when the 5th, 6th and 7th church have things happening at the end? .
---Dr._Rich on 12/26/07

Dr.Rich, the King of the South was the Ptolomies and the North, the Seleucids. It is all past history, 2300 years ago.
---InimicusStultitiae on 12/24/07

Yes certainly Christ/ Paul warns against false teachers/ prophets/doctrines.
---Carla5754 on 12/24/07

In Daniel 11 we see a 'king of the south' and a 'king of the north'. They are opposed to one another but I find this interesting: Both kings call the other wicked and a follower of Satan. God then says that they both are evil. Who are these? Could one be the Christian/Jewish nations and the other Islam? I could go on, but I will let you ponder on this for a while.

In the early days of Christianity christians of that time did not fully know the word of God and used prejudice/miquoted scriptures to segregate blacks from churches and so they eventually built their own. This prejudice gave rise to false religions offering the blacks a Christ that wasn't white blue eyed and for them(false as it is) It was lapped up by the uneducated(BIBLE ignorance that is)and so remember the causesin relation to the faults!

the Prophet -peace be upon him- said,

The Hour will not come until the sun rises from the West. When people will see it then those who are on earth will believe but that is the time when its belief will not profit a soul which did not believe before that time."

Islam is rising fast in the western part of Europe. According to a forecast by the British-based group Christian Research, practicing Muslims will outnumber practicing Christians in England within a few decades.

There is only one true god that we are told to worship. He alone can be identified by the fact that He created all things.....other gods have not done this!!
All false religion is identified in Revelation and we are assured of the destruction of all false religion....."Get out of her my people if you do not want to share in her plagues...." is the advice given. Get out of false religion by finding the truth and being a true worshipper of the one almighty true god.

Sheila, Virgil died five and a half centuries before Muhammad was born, so your quote is off the mark.

Elsie quoted,"By the way the rise of Islam is occurring because they make more babies than we Christians do"

As told by Abu Hurairah in Hadith (collections of the saying of Prophet) -may Allah be pleased with him- said that the Prophet -peace be upon him- said, The Hour will not come until 'The sun rises from the West'."

The sun will rise in the west has been interpreated as The Islam will rise in the west"

Virgil quoted, "Mohammed is a false God"

Muhammad, peace be upon him, claimed to be a servant, messenger and prophet of the Almighty God, the same God of Adam, Abraham, Moses, David and Solomon and of Jesus, the Christ, son of Mary (peace be upon them all). He claimed he was receiving revelation from Almighty God (Allah is God in Arabic) through the Arch Angel Gabriel, calling it the Recitation (Quran).

Billy quoted, "I don't think so, unless you accept the idea that the number 666 is equivalent to a symbol of Islam."

this is NOT TRUE, Billy but "666" is found in the bible.

"Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man, and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." (Revelations 13:17-18

Maybe, in Genesis God spoke thusly of Ishmael:

16:20 "And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren."

17:20 "I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation."

The Muslim nations are decended from him.

jesus said "there would be many who will kill you and think the are doing it in my name". this does coincide with islam's jihad doctrine which commands the word of islam be spread either by surrender or the sword. your question may have come from and islamic claim that the apostles claimed to be muslim, which could not be since the word did not exist until mohammad invented it about 600 A.D. so... you'll find a specific prophesy of muslim faith in the Q'uran but not in the bible.

Jerry I never said Mohammed forbid eating pork, I just said muslims forbid it cause they do believe in old testiment laws when it comes to not eating pork. I know it was God but that was old past laws.
---vilma on 7/17/05

Yes I know God forbid us to eat certain foods, but that was the old testiment, old pact. In the NT 1 timothy 3-will forbid people to marry or to eat certain foods. But God created these foods to be eaten with thankful hearts by his followers who know the truth. 4 Everything God created is good. And if you give thanks, you may eat anything. 5 What God has said and your prayer will make it fit to eat.

Yes: Mat 24:11 "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many." Vilma: It was God, not Mohammad that forbid the eating pork. Jesus and the Apostles never ate it. The scripture you refer to more closely describes the Catholic doctrines of priestly celibacy and friday abstinance from meat.
---jerry6593 on 7/17/05

In a way yes. Read (1 timothy 4: 1-5). It talks about how false people will teach or and talk about not eating certain foods.. muslims do not eat pork, they forbid that.
---vilma on 7/16/05

Mohammed is a false God and we are told not to worship and God other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God is of Love not of hate as Moslems seem to be full of.
---Virgil on 7/16/05

Whether Islam was foretold in scripture is not important. There are many religions throughout the world. Anything other than Jesus Christ and Him crucified is wasting time that could be better spent in bringing the Muslims to Jesus! Converted Muslims to Christianity are subject to persecution for their faith while we sit here and speculate about them. By the way the rise of Islam is occurring because they make more babies than we Christians do. Now that's food for thought!

The rise of Islam is not really prophesied. But it is prophesied that the specific nations which happen to be Islamic would come against Israel. See Ezekiel Chapters 38 & 39.
---Rick on 7/16/05

I don't think so, unless you accept the idea that the number 666 is equivalent to a symbol of Islam. I heard that theory from an ex-Muslim and Biblical scholar in Jordan. Whether true or not I don't know. Other than the verses in Genesis about Ishmael, I don't personally know of any prophetic references to Islam or Mohammed.
---Billy on 7/15/05

I would like to know that myself. It is certainly on the rise here in America. I was watching a fight from 1960 with ali and he made reference to his god, allah. He certainly had a great influence on black americans turning to islam. what a shame all the people he is sending to hell.
