God made Adam & Eve as one being, & then separated. The woman is female half of male. God ordained the male as responsible for both. He, God will hold accountable as family head. So, the woman is "2nd" in command; NOT slave, not lesser 1/2. A woman of Prov.31 virtue. Just as the husband MUST be responsible to stand before God & account for his place over his family,. all Christian wives living Biblical church/family order are "Prov.31" women, & I know many!!!

Yes, there are Proverbs 31 women in the body of Christ. Most all of them are married already, serving the Lord and loving their husbands. A Proverbs 31 women is a work of art by Gods own hands. She is often married to a man of God who loves her as Christ loved the church. Many women are allowing God to change them a little bit at a time into this type of women. A proverbs 31 women brings glorly to God. A man who lays down his life for his wife, brings glorly to God. Why do you ask?

Pt1
Lissieann, I believe there is much truth in your statement. God created men to be the head or leader and women to be the helpmate. Just as Christ loved us first, and gave Himself up for us and then we, His Bride, respond to His love, I believe that women tend to respond to their husband to the degree that they feel loved and appreciated. And the way to show love is to "give yourself up" (in other words, put the other before yourself).

Pt2
Women are created with a nurturing nature (to care for children etc) that instinctively causes them to "give themselves up." But men often have to learn this trait ... it isn't so natural for them. I think that's why 1 Peter 3:7 says - "Husbands ... be considerate with your wives & treat them with respect ..." When a wife is confident of her husband's consideration & that he has her best interests at heart, I think she is much more apt to fill the role of the Proverbs 31 woman.

I desire someone to study the Word, pray and share all aspects of life with.I am young at heart, love concerts, candle light dinners, sitting by the fireplace cuddling, stay at home cuddled on the couch watching a good comedy or mystery and fighting over the popcorn.People are first priority with me, my motivation through the years. To see people healed, delivered, set free from their pains. I have ministered in prisons, hospitals, nursing homes and pulpit. Very humbly put, I am a Proverbs 31 woman

Show me a man that loves his wife as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, and I will show you a Proverbs 31 woman...

I want to be a Proverbs 31 woman. I want servants to clean my toilets and do my dishes. I want to be in real estate, as she was. You can have the purple cloth business, I am more into yarn.

My kids do tell me they are proud of me for surviving my divorce and go to graduate school to change careers, while not compromising my beliefs in God. I am really blessed by God.

o.k. rebeca is the one who saw the servent bring bling, so married some one only knowing he had money. a clutz {fell off a camel} and helped her son lie to his dad.
I think there are alot of women like that!
as for prov. 31, I have been told that I'm like that. that's why my spouse left. I was to good. and he wanted some one willing to throw responsablity to the wind and have fun. now I need to work all the harder, I don't know that either of those choices are all that great.

Ronaa, my apologies; I should have gone to profiles and checked your bio! Nope, you're not female. Sounds like you're asking about virtue in women today, who profess Christianity. I hope the Lord can bless you with that woman so your faith can be strong in understanding the church has many. God bless.

Just wanted to let you know all know that in 1997 I happened to meet a Proverbs 31 woman... and we are about to celebrate 8 years of marriage! And yes, our daughter rises up and calls her blessed!

Of course there are, but do you deserve one?

People spend their time looking for an earthly mate; a major waste of time in my opinion.

How much greater would the time be spent, and how much more suitable we'd be if we in our time invested in God's business.

Do you remember what Jesus said about this topic? Anyone?

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Ronaa, when you speak of Rebecca do you mean an obedient and serving woman? I believe this world is filled with beautiful-hearted women of all ages who serve and obey their father, God. I've met many! I know married ladies who are P31 women, and I know young ladies in my youth group who exlimplify what a P31 woman is too. By God's grace I try to be one also. And you? Are you one too? (if female).
