---MarkV. on 12/8/09 Then you disagree with the word of God not me.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath, I am from above: ye are of this world, I am not of this world.

Well, I have a problem with the WHOLE statement made by EX.

Even his comparison to Pharoah and Joseph.

Pharoah and Joseph are two entirely complete and different people. Jesus was never subbordinate To God and then was given authority of being an equal to God.

Pharoah worshiped JOSEPH's God, teh God of Abraham Isaac & Jacob!!! therefore God blessed Pharoah/Egypt because of Joseph.

I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you was what was in play then and now!!!
---kathr4453 on 12/8/09

I disagree with this statement,
" His flesh was not made of earthly material but made of the word of God therefore he could not see corruption because the word cannot be made corrupt or pass away"
If this is the case then Jesus works of not sinning were meaningless if He could not. He had to have been able to sin if He so wanted, but He never did. That is what makes His works so important.
His flesh was just like any human flesh with the exception of a sin nature. The body came from Mary. Like Adam before the fall, Jesus did not have a sin nature.
---MarkV. on 12/8/09

All spirits are begotten of God but a spirit is a life force and I do not want you to think I am saying that all spirits are the same as the Son of God. We know that Jesus is a reproduction of his Father, a Son after the likeness and in Gods image who has the Holy Spirit without measure. His flesh was not made of earthly material but made of the word of God therefore he could not see corruption because the word cannot be made corrupt or pass away. He is the first creature like this but we shall be glorified and as he is we shall be, it is our inheritance.

The WORD who is God became FLESH...Mary's flesh. He took on the seed of Abraham/David, therefore he took upon Him OUR FLESH, and died in the flesh for our sin.

Thank you Markv: I cannot take credit for the things I write They come to me as I write them
from the Holy Spirit, I am amazed at the things I get by divine revelation. When I first got this gift I spent many hours trying to prove them to myself before I would ever tell anyone, But I discovered that it was fear and lack of Faith in my ability to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. I began to trust in the word I received and then the scriptures began to come into my mind instantly when I acted in faith. Not many years ago I suffered from a very low IQ because I was severely dyslexic and had other problems. I could not even turn a computer on or type. God healed me and increased my IQ to do this ministry.
---exzucuh on 12/6/09

ex.you do greatly err, gods word is also god,if gods word was not god, jesus could not have said heaven and earth will pass away but my words will never pass away, and my words are spirit and life, perfect example of god is spirit and life,in the beginning was the word and the word was god and the word was with god jn 1,gods words are aliving beings,he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood and his name is called the word of god,the word is a living being, worlds were framed by the words of god,the dead was raised by the word of god,the maimed was made whole by the word of god,and david says to whom the word came it made them god, best is peter saying to whom shall we go lord thou has the words of eternal life, eternal life in only in his word
---alex on 12/6/09

everything on this planet reproduecs it self by a seed.sperm,.or even pollen, god is a god of regeneration, reproduction, gestation, when jesus spoke the parable of the sower is was a bout a different kind of seed, the word,a heavenly seed,an incorruptible seed, that could be sown in the hearts and minds of mankind(the bride/church/whosever will)and that is what the woman in rev 12 is all about, she has been pregnated by a heavenly seed/word,she is giving birth to a heavenly being, a baby christ ,jesus says that which is born of the spirit is spirit, the child is his namesake, not born of flesh/blood/will of man but by the will of god jn 1v13,unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, they dont call him the bridegroom for nothin, his voice is seed
---alex on 12/6/09

Exzucuh, that was a great answer you gave to kathrine. It is the best explanation I have heard. I wrote the same from one of my wordstudy Bibles, when looking the Word up. I suppose I did not make mine very clear, but you did a good job.

kathr4453 on 12/4/09 I hope you do not think that God is a word. That scripture you quote is true but the way you are using it can be interpreted wrong. God is a Spirit and the word that comes from his mouth is spirit and life. But that word in itself is not God it is his word and carries the authority of God. Pharaoh was a god to Egypt and his word was god. But his word was not him it was writing on paper. But pharaohs word had the power of pharaoh and made Joseph equal with him over Egypt but Joseph was not pharaoh. God sent his word and his word became flesh, the only begotten Son of God,He is the image of God, and does not do his own will but the will of his Father. He is the Son of God.
---exzucuh on 12/5/09

alex. Jesus is GOD made flesh. The Logos/Word is God...The word was With God and the Word WAS God.

I do hope this is what you are trying to say.
---kathr4453 on 12/4/09

mary was pregnated by hearing the word, she told the angel be it unto me according to thy word, mary was pregnated by hearing the living word, not by penatration, but by hearing the word, jesus was the living word made flesh and blood, the fetus formed in her was by the word(spirit and life)the h.g.member jesus says the good seed is the word of god,the worlds were framed by the word of god, jesus equates the good seed to children,he says the good seed/word are the children of the kingdom, even in the natural realm it takes a seed for a birth, but in the heavenly realm it takes his word/seed to bring a birth, peter says being born again of an incorruptible seed, even by the word of god.the woman in rev 12 is pregnated likewise by the word /seed,his voice
---alex on 12/4/09

kathr... yes i agree .god sowed his seed in mary and that was his word, the fetus was formed by the word/seed,jesus was the word made flesh, the only thing mary could do was believe, john 1 v14 jesus was the word made flesh etc.
---alex on 12/4/09

Alex, what we have though is the Holy Spirit overshaddowed Mary. Mary did not speak the word into her womb. God placed His seed in her womb.
---kathr4453 on 12/4/09

the woman in rev 12 is a type of mary b/c jesus says whosever hears my word/seed and keeps it,the same is my mother and brethren,it was the word/seed that inabled the woman to birth a baby christ, thats y he always refers to himself as the son of man. gal 4v19 my lil children of whom i travail in birth til christ be formed in you,a pregnancy always requires a seed/word,,peter says he was bornagain by a incorruptible seed even by the word of god,the good seed is the living word,isa.66v7,before she travailed she brought forth before her pains came she was delivered of a manchild, unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given ,also a lil child shall lead them, isa, but zech. is very bold and says he is our 1st born our only son, behold the woman
---alex on 12/4/09

jeremy, Israel is the Woman in Revelation 12.
Refer to Joseph's dream in Genesis.

Mary is not the mother of the 12 tribes of Israel OR the 12 Apostles.

The Church is not referred to as a WOMAN, but a virgin bride.

Israel has always been called the Woman, and the offspring of her seed is Israel.

Mary had no seed, and the Church has no seed as referring to her having any offspring. The seed is CHRIST and was the offspring of Israel, the seed of David.

The end of Revelation confirm by saying:

I am the Offspring of David and The bright and Morning star.

the second woman (great prostitute)is also telling us her name she sits on seven nations has domination over the kings, arrayed in purple, and scarlet and adorned in gold, and jewels, and pearls and a cup of abominations and impurities of "her" sexual immorality. also she glorified her self and lived in luxury and in heart she says i sit as a queen, i am no widow so mourning shall i never see. yet she falls in a single day death mourning and famine as she is burned with fire. this looks just like banking system that is on the verge of global mount down, no money no food no food very sick simple

alex has one the best thoughts on revelations i have read in a long time as far as the man child being a seed of renewed god conciousness. i have recently came the conclusion, the galaxy is the woman. google pictures of the galaxy. many ancient civilizations called the center of the galaxy the womb. the mayan calender ends 12/21/2012. on that at sun rise the sun crosses the canter of the galaxy, as seen from earth. now through the moon in the picture, and you will actually see a great woman in the the sky clothed with the sun, moon at her feet and a crown of twelve stars

The woman in chapter 12 cannot be the church, because Christ gave birth to the church, not the church giving birth to Christ. It also cannot be Mary the mother of Jesus,
---Michael on 11/13/09

Wait a minute, how can it not be Mary other than your bias statement! Did Mary give birth to our Saviour, Y or N ?
---Ruben on 11/13/09

To understand who the woman is, we must first determine who the Child is. The chapter defines the Child as a male who "was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne." The most logical and scriptural identification of the Child is Jesus (Isaiah 9:6). The woman in chapter 12 cannot be the church, because Christ gave birth to the church, not the church giving birth to Christ. It also cannot be Mary the mother of Jesus, for we see the events that unfold concerning the dragon and the woman was past the death of Mary, during the time of the great tribulation. The only choice is Israel. Is. 7:14, 9:6, 66:7-8, Mic. 5:2, Rom. 9:4-5.

Pierre left out that the Woman can also mean Mary! If the Woman gave birth to a male child and we know it was Jesus and the seed in Genesis is also Jesus, how can so many not mention that the Woman can be Mary? Notice in both scriptures it is singular Woman, Serpent(dragon) and Jesus, just a thought!

the woman is symbolic of anybody washed in his blood, the church/bride are peoples of all nations, tongues, and kindreds that are pregnated by his word,ya member jesus says the good seed is the word of god,and the field is the world where the seed will be sown. its always requires a seed for a birth, peter says being born again of an incorruptible seed ,EVEN BY THE WORD OF GOD,that liveth and abideth forever, the woman is rev 12 is the best example of the new birth, and she is global, god so loved the world, paul sees the whole world in travail and birth pangs, the woman is giving birth to a baby christ, unto us a child is born unto us a son is given, whosoever recieves one such child in my name receives me,his word is his seed, the sower is the bridegroom

One of the set backs of Christianity is it is heavily influence by the Greeks. Nearly all of our MS are in Greek, And Christianity has followed after 300 yrs of Greek culture. Even in the Early Roman Empire. So we adapted Platonism and much Greek philosophy in our thinking (i.e.spirit vs material). That is why we ask these questions on mysteries of scripture that have no answers, (Predestination, Moment of Salvation etc) as the Greeks did. The Hebrews culture when faced with biblical mysteries simply accepted it without questions and never asked.. They never had sciences, philosophy they simple accepted God at Face value. You can see this in Hebrew OT not the LXX.

Larry, I agree that the bride is the church but I do not believe that the woman and the church are the same. The woman, who I believe is the Holy Spirit, gives birth to Jesus and then later She gives birth to the remnant or the bride. The church cannot give birth to itself.

John 3 verse 5 tells us very clearly that unless a person is born of the water and the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. We have to be born of the Holy Spirit as was Jesus to enter the Kingdom. Rev. 12 verse 5 and 17 show us the birth of Jesus and the birth of the 144,000 who prepare the bride for the wedding feast.
---barb on 10/15/09

The woman in Rev.12 represents the catalyst to and for the inception and development of what we now refer to as Christianity. Zion, mother of Israel, coming out of her infancy into her maturity to give birth to a new covenant. A calling out of those who will prevail and have power as a prince, called out of the lesser light of the law, into the greater light of grace through faith in the Father's Anointed Savior.
It is revealed to the nation of Israel that unto her a child was born, her Father's only begotten Child, brought into being through one of her own. A Son given and named as Savior, whose name is called Wonderful, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, Emanuel, God with us.

All of you are wrong..The woman and the child are the current living descendants of the old Jewish tribes in the end times. More specifically, this woman gives birth to the child who will one day grow up and lead the Army of the Lord. The rod of iron is given to him by the authority of Jesus. That is why Satan is attacking her. She is not Israel or Mary Or a group of people. She is singular and very real. Her role far extends beyond giving birth to her son. Her son is not Jesus. He is a real person, born of a real woman. That is why the womans chapter is next to the anti-christ chapter. They had to introduce the two opposing leaders that are alive on earth during the war.

In Revelation 12 the reference to a woman referrs to the state of Israel. You can study up on the city of Petra(an ancient city in the desert 70 miles south of Jerusalem) for a better understanding of this event. Also the born again believers will have been raptured away before this.

Accordin to my Bible, the woman must flee into the wilderness (v6). It does not say that the woman, symbol of the true church, is in heaven (yet).
---Pierre on 7/6/09

Not sure Barb, maybe you are right but I think its the church because later in Chapter 19 it mentions the WIFE getting herself ready for the marriage of the lamb has come. (bride being the church).
Others believe that because of Rev 12:5 (she bought forth a man child) the reference is to the virgin Mary.
---larry on 7/6/09

The woman in Rev. 12 is the Holy Spirit. Please notice that this woman is in heaven. The church at this time in the scripture is not yet in heaven.

The Holy Spirit is Jesus' mother. Matt: 1:20. Luke 1:35.

Rev. 12:17 "And the dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed" (those born of the Holy Spirit) John 3:5. Those born of the Holy
Spirit are the brothers and sisters of Jesus. Rev. 14:6 "every nation, and kindred and tongue and people." Not Israel although every member of Israel will have the chance to accept or deny the testimony which God sent Jesus to give us.

Dan 12 presents and explains an important symbol of prophecy: THE WOMAN.Throughout the Bible, the symbol of a woman is used to represent a pure and true church. The woman clothed with the sun represents the true church. The sun represents the glory of the gospel dispensation.
There ae 4 themes in the imagery:
the woman about to give birth
the hatred and persection of te fragon vs the woman
the watchcare and protection of God for his church
he identification of the last true church upon which Satan akes war.
Because of the persecutions the woman must flee into the wilderness. The earth is seen as providing a refuge fo the persecuted church.
Summary: The woman=the true chuch in Dan 12.

Well, I can eliminate Mary and the church. So it has got to be Israel.
---catherine on 7/2/09

The woman in Revelation 12 is Israel. There is no biblical exegesis to support the belive that is the church. The only reason why some biblical commentaries insist her to be the church is ONLY becuase they want to equate the Pope with the Beast. If the Catholic church is the harlot then the woman in Rev. 12 better be the church. They are wrong. The harlot is not the catholic church and the pope is NOT the beast.

The harlot is Islam and the beast is a soon to come Syrian-Muslim brokered by Turkey. A man who will rule over Iraq, Iran and lebanon. As soon as the U.S. leave Iraq, Iran will take over and divide the land between them and Syria/Turkey.

The Woman is the VISIBLE church. She represents the 7 collective churches of ch 2-3. The man-child represents the INVISIBLE church, the Overcomers of ch 2-3 who will "rule with a rod of iron". It is the OVERCOMERS who are caught up (raptured) to heaven. The visible church then loses her position and is persecuted by the now Satan possessed AntiChrist but she gives birth to other children.., the Tribulation saints.
---Scott on 11/18/07

Again, Noone really seems to know for certain. I believe that it is Israel. Here is some scriptures. Keep in mind there are other scriptures that could point to Mary or to the church. But I believe these scriptures are the most compelling. Micah 5-2 and Romans 9,4-5. Have a great night.

The woman gave birth to Jesus (12:5), and so cannot be the Christian Church. While the sun, moon and stars connect her to Isreal, they adorn her as an accessory. She is Jewish, but is not Isreal. Each component in the narrative (in CODE) is an actual entity not a group, so is does not make sense that the woman would not also be a single entity. Mary did suffer the tribulations mentioned - she did flee to Egypt so that Jesus would not be murdered by Herod as a young child, suffered when He died.

The woman in Revelation, chapter 12:1 is Israel. The twelve stars represent the twelve tribes of Israel. In Revelation, chapter 17:4 the woman (the whore) clothed in red and purple is the Catholic Church. What color do bishops wear? Red. Who wears purple?

Ray-- thanks for being "fair and balanced"!
We don't know, for sure, exactly WHO the woman is. I've heard from some Australians that they, and some in Europe, believe the woman is the United States! ( I never got a chance to find out how they reached that conclusion).

Shira,Betty- If that is what your church is teaching, then I would leave quickly..Leave the dark and come to the light..

I believe Rick and Eloy are both correct. Rick is correct early in the chapter and Eloy is correct later in the chapter.

The woman IS the church.

The woman is Israel. We know the woman is symbolic just like the dragon which represents Satan. In Gen. 37:9-10 we see that the sun, moon, and twelve stars represents Israel. Rev. chapter 12 is an explanation of Israel's history until the end of the tribulation. Verses one through five are pre-church, and from verse six on is post-church. So the woman is not the Church. The woman is not Mary because she is not persecuted in the tribulation. It is a dual reference prophecy.

She is the Christian Church: Verse 17 reads that the dragon makes war with the remainder of her offspring (the christians),..."which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." The AntiChrist rules 3 1/2 years, but the gates of hell cannot prevail against the Church.

According to the Bible Commentary by William R. Newell, & John Darbey, it's Israel. But, according to the commenary by Adam Clarke, it's the church. The Commentary by John S.C. Abbot & Jacob Abbot, also indicate it's the church. So, there is a division of opionions on this section. That's four respected commentaries with a division of opinion.

Rev 12:10-12

From my studies, I believe it to be all three. The women is in Genesis, at the cross, and here in revelation. Typology can have multiple layers of meaning in the same verse. Hope this helps some.

To me it is Mary, in vs 5 it talks about she gave birth to a man child, who was caught up with God into his throne. I think that satan is going to try to take over the throne again before Jesus comes back. because God casted him out onto the earth, and he told the overcomers to rejoice in heaven, and told the dwellers that Satan and his demons were casted down onto the earth. Satan tries to make war with the woman's seed (Jesus). I could be wrong, this isn't an arugement, this is my thoughts.

answer to queston part 3
Revelation 12
In this chapter we have an account of the contest between the church and antichrist, the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. I. As it was begun in heaven (Rev_12:1-11). II. As it was carried on in the wilderness (Rev_12:12, etc.).

answer to queston part 2
Revelation 12 - come, but rather a recapitulation and representation of things past, which, as God would have the apostle to foresee while future, he would have him to review now that they were past, that he might have a more perfect idea of them in his mind, and might observe the agreement between the prophecy and that Providence that is always fulfilling the scriptures.
