Little Depressed And Unfocused
I have no huge desire for things in my life and even going to church and serving the Lord is hard to get motivated about. I've trusted Jesus as savior and I pray for help. Career choices, relationships, it is all hard to know what to do and be energetic about things. What is wrong?

Hi! I know Christian councellors, a couple from USA (I interpret for them). They pray with people in situations like that and I have seen amazing changes in people who come and talk to them. They ARE professional!

You probably know this, but you are showing signs of depression. Decissions, both large and small can be very difficult, social relationships seem unimportant, energy level is reduced and things that were once pleasurable now seem mundain. Fortunately, your symptoms are not yet severe. You are still able to force activity which reduces depression. Isa40:31 and psms34:17 are great scriptures to meditate on. Pray, worship, praise, study and exercise are important. If you do not improve or get worse see an expert.

I know how you feel. What helped me to pick up and carry on, was a simple prayer.
"I believe Lord, help my unbelief".

You are a child of God; you are the righteousness of Christ You need to trust Christ with the problem. . Turn every conversation into a new opportunity for praising someone and making them feel better. You will start feeling better. Adopt a project to immerse yourself in: animals, children, homeless, visiting schools, rest homes, etc. Spend time praising the Lord in your home and ask the Lord to bring ideas into your mind to improve the quality of your life. n.s.5684

Mike, it sounds like you are depressed but before you cross that bridge, get a medical check up. All the chemicals in our bodies are in a delicate balance. When certain ones are affected; they need adjustment. First pray, as I and others shall do; also see the Dr. for lab tests, MAKE yourself exercise, DO one good deed for another person per day, BELIEVE in Jesus' perfect will and work and He will see you through. I know because He healed me over 30 years ago.

Hi, Mike - Several years ago I expressed your same sentiments to my pastor - her advice puzzled me; but I followed it and it changed my life and I have never suffered from depression again. She asked me to teach Sunday School. - I thought this was ridiculous! - it turns out that the effort to make someone else feel good made me feel like I was on top of the world. I began volunteering for other ministries and have never felt better.

Mike I understand feeling down and overwhelmed about life's decisions. I have faced the same things especially in the last couple of years. As a friend in Christ I suggest you turn it all over to God. Let him stand in the gap for you. He promised he will never leave you nor forsake you. He is there all the time. God doesn't make mistakes. We just have to have enough faith and believe he will do as he has promised. I will keep you in my prayers. God bless you.

It's called depression. I have been there and know the symptoms very well. I am here to encourage you that it can and wil get better. I suggest you find a christian counselor or therapist to talk about things. No matter what, don't give up on God! He will bring you through this like He did me.
