Does God Give Doctors Wisdom

Do you believe that God gives a doctor wisdom to remove bad tissue? Is it O.K. to have organ transplant? I think that though it is painful and not some thing I would want to ever want to go through it is some thing that needs to be done.

If it weren't for modern medicine, I would be dead now. 1990 I had my appendix taken out. I was lost at that time, not knowing Christ as my saviour. Now I am giving the gosple to others, married and have kids. God giveth, and God taketh, he is in control. Now all we need to do is allow God to work through us, Galatian 2:20-21.

As a paramedic, I have to understand that God is in control. Doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals can train and practice and learn all they can, still know God is in control. At the same time, we have procedures available today, that can allow people to live long health lives. people are surviving from heartattacks and strokes all the time now. God has made things possible.

God uses Dr's to do miracles. I know a Dr who prays for wisdom everytime he has surgery to perform. I would like to think most Drs do ask God for help when dealing with a life.

"you can prevent the kidney from not working properly".

How is that Gregg?
---alan8867_of_UK on 8/11/05

The wisdom that a doctor has is the wisdom of how the body is supposed to work and how to fix it if it goes wrong. The wisdom given you is the same thing. You cannot gouge yourself and insert a new kidney though, but you can prevent the kidney from not working properly.

Wisdom, is given to any Christian who ask. This would include doctors. (James 1:5) Concerning organ transplants, there is nothing wrong with this. At one time, any healing done by the medical profession was considered a form of witchcraft, but those days are gone for most of us. All healing is of God either through preventative measures, proper medical means or Direct Divine intervention. If this isn't true, then all Christians in the medical field are sinning.
