This Is The Appreciation Blog

Is it just me or does it seem like there has been a little extra tension in some of the blogs recently? Is anyone interested in an Appreciation Blog so we can all let each other know how much we appreciate CN and our fellow bloggers? Who has blessed you from CN and how?

You're welcome, Donna, and thank you. :)
---AlwaysOn on 9/5/09

Thanks,AlwaysON --- I love a good debate, and you and I have had some good ones!

One thing I'm learning on these blogs is that some of the people I disagree with politically, actually are very similar to me in other ways! One example is Trish and I. We are poles apart politically, yet spiritually, she and I are usually on the same wave length.

I may get indignant at times, but I'm actually rather fond of some who disagree with included! You don't take things personally and I admire that!

I'm pulling this blog back up as it's an appropriate place to tell Donna66 that she was on my heart during prayer this morning.

I mostly disagree with your politics, Donna, but I have the utmost admiration for how you engage in discussions here. I love how you avoid personal attacks while clearly stating your position. The example that you set hasn't gone unnoticed and I thought you should know this.

Of course, there are many others here that I can say this about, but we tend to be on the same side of the aisle. So while I still appreciate your examples, Donna stands out, in particular, because she so very respectfully states an opposing view point.

Thanks, Donna!

I appreciate all the different points of view concerning the word of God. It allows me the freedom to pray, comment, be silent, fume, be surprised, peturbed, think, agree, disagree, learn, cry, and laugh.
I've had some serious challenges, and been able to come to this blog and find you all here being yourselves. It's strengthning, and encouraging, A kinship of believers who basically only know one another through their words. It is very special.

I love CN, love blogging, but i dont have the time, i work with kids also, and when the day over, i just want to have a good rest.

First off, I thank God for CN and the wisdom of the head moderator. I appreciate Barbara, Steve, Elder, Eloy, Pharisee, Susie, Alan (even if we disagree at times), Lorra (yes, Catholic Lorra)-God bless. And most of the other sincere bloggers. I like to pray for all of you and I will continue. I have God's love in my heart for you! I am blessed. Can we all praise God!

I appreciate all of you on here, even Rev. Herb, I like being kept on my toes and being forced to make sure I believe what I believe and why. I does get hairy at times but hopefully not to the point where enemies are made. I came on as Betty then switched to BJ and now betty8468.
---betty8468 on 4/1/07

I would genuinely like to say that blogging on this blog has been a humbling experience for me (although many might not see it like that ..). We all tend to think at times we have all the answers. And i now feel i don't, and have learned a lot. I thank those who debate with grace (and humour), and nice, encouraging comments from other people. And also to the moderators. And the organizers of the blog.

We are ALL brothers and sisters. If we were not concerned with one anothers Salvation I doubt that many of us would even be here. Peace be with You. In Jesus Name.

Hi y'all! :) I love CN! I love looking for certain people's replies too, like Jack or AlanK and all; I especially have been blessed reading Madison's replies :) She's soo cool; God bless ya if you see this Madison; you inspire me--thanks :)
---Mary on 4/1/07

I appreciate the people who come on CN to learn and discuss the Word, That's one of the reasons that I keep returning to CN, because of the [serious] folks, rather one agrees or disagrees with you, one still can still have a [sensible] discussion with you, Thanks. God Bless!

I reckon an APPRECIATION BLOG is an xcellent way to encourage one another & show our appreciation. I'm a new 'kid' on the Block, but so far Catherine, Duane, Cynthia have both challenged & blessed me, ta muchly, that's a Big Thankyou!
---Mishon on 4/1/07

You Spirit filled Christians make me happy, and I enjoy reading the things you write but you fallen Nephilims out there drive me a little bit bananas at moments. Though I am a bit new here, I enjoy looking at all your points of views, I really do appreciate you my Bros and Sisses, and I realize we are all ALWAYS LEARNING, Hugs, Cynthia 1

So Lorra, You like confrontation?
---Lampor on 3/31/07

Right back at you, AlwaysOn.
I miss Daniel, also. I have noticed 'he's went missing'. I miss Donna2277, I hope she's in good health. There are many others that have fallen off the radar.

I appreciate the older blogs and seeing their thoughtful answers. Controversy was alive and well then, too.

I appreciate the Moderators for allowing me to fly under the radar. Christ-like replies are all that's really important. I wish we could blog without boxing gloves, but can't be a bunch of spoiled brat cry babies. Jack makes sure of that. If he hears us sniffle, he blackens our eyes.. really gives us something to cry about!

I think about you all, constantly, even in my sleep. I see Catherine - having a great time with Jesus; RebeccaD. in the choir, Mrs. M.'s little kids, and many more.
---DbleShotEspresso on 3/30/07

Jack introduced me to Tony Campolo & to the concept of Pop Evangelism. Such causes me to think more analytically & really examine church culture. Ryan is always humble and often causes me to pause and ponder. Daniel is a blessing in that he is well-studied on a variety of topics which help me in my own studies. This isn't meant to exclude everyone else's very valuable contributions, but these 3 consistently bless me, challenge me & keep me tuning in to CN.
---AlwaysOn on 3/30/07

I'd like to add Alan to my previous list as he's fair and even though I sense he gets quite weary with CN at times, he is generally quick to forgive and move on. Also, most recently, Rachel has been a huge blessing to me. Even though I've rubbed her the wrong way in the past, she's been warm enough to reach out to me in sisterly love when she clearly didn't have to. Like Alan, I sometimes get weary too, but Rachel has shown that love and maturity can prevail on CN if we allow it.

God spits out the luke-warm. If this site was all sweetness and light and everyone agreed, it would be boring and shallow.

Me, I like it Hot. Just not eternally.
---lorra8574 on 3/30/07

Yes there is, but I want to say I have been very blessed and want to thank you all as well. I appricate everyone here as well as the CN for all you have done as well..mary4964

I too appreciate ChN a lot! I was very moved to receive many good wishes cards on my birthday. I also enjoy dialogging with those of you who have bible questions and I can say that I have received a great blessing from this execise. Let's keep doing it in a spirit of love!

Tension(s) is'nt *supposed to happen [LOL], but it happens, as we all hopefully "contend for the faith...";

Additionally, C-Net has provided me with a quality means to pass time, hopefully contributing something [scripturely] positive, while ending my needful 'personal life corrections/goals'.

Maybe more will "wax" strong in this unprecedented opportunity on C-net for humour, encouragement, friendship, etc.

God's Best!
C-Net's A Mighty Weapon!

I REALLY appreciate CN blogging. This quickly became a ministry for others AND to me. But then, that's how God works, eh? Thanks to all of you, I have some way to share my spiritual journey. Most folks are too busy to bother. Keeps the circulation moving in this old Granny! Bless all of you and may God grant you His peace and joy beyond measure!
---Elsie on 8/17/05

I trully do enjoy my time spent here, and to our Moderator, you really do a fantastic job, thank you. I do appreciate everyones responses, and questions. Coming here is like coming home, and I thank God for each and everyone of ya'll.

Moderator - Thanks!

Moderator, thank you for the help, all of you have done awesome. I remember sending an email to ChristiaNet asking for someone to help on some questions and we have you, I just want to thank you so much for your hard work. though not everyone will agree with you, God has a purpose for you, and that is us. Blessings and sorry to everyone else that gets their feelings hurt. I don't think anyone is here to hurt anyone, but we do have to work for the Truth.

Moderator - Thanks!

I'll take my turn in expressing my appreciation for C-net, as most here know I'm not a "fundamentalist " or "evangelical" yet there are those here who put up with my drivel (Jesus is my saviour and the bible is my guide) Yet I see things differently, 3/4hundred yrs ago I would have been burned at the stake as a heretic, but thanks to C-net (and fellow bloggers) I learn something new every day! agape

I admit I have been more argumentive and defensive about a few subjects that seem to strike a nerve with me. It is nice being about to share ideas, opinions, and scripture. Sorry if I got out of hand. Thanks everyone.

What would we do without the "Master Moderator?" He's witty, he's so busy making sure we stay in line, he's the best babysitter I've ever had!
I love all you guys, CN is such a blessing! I am always humored and blessed by my buddy Elder,Eloy,Pharasee, John,Linda Smith, BEFORE her hard drive fried! I will stop naming names, there are so many I admire, I'm bound to leave someone out! How 'bout numbering the questions Mr.Mod? What's up with the GIANT font?

I would agree that there has been slightly more 'squabbling' than usual. However, I think we do all appreciate the service we are offered here, and we appreciate each other's input. Personally, I don't know what I'd do if ChristiaNet suddenly vanished from my screen. I think I'd have withdrawal symptoms for quite some time. Thanks moderator and all others involved. By the way, where's Alan, I want to hear about the wedding!!
