Tell him in love that he has no businees telling you what to do or when, unless she is in danger or there is a sexual act going on with other partners, other than that he has no right.

Find a new pastor. Sounds like he is medalling where he shouldn't be. What you and your wife do is between you, her and God not the pastor unless you ask for his advice.

Bro. Elder, yes it would even be meddling to tell a man to stop beating his wife. Not proper method to handle it.When he stops using the Word and gets into his opinion ordering people how to relate in a family it's meddling.A Pastor's job isn't to order his flock around but to guide them.Proverbs20:3 It is an honour for a man to cease from strife; but every fool will be meddling.1Peter5:3 Neither being lords over God's flock, but being ensamples to the flock. No unrighteous judgement, just truth.

Elder, I think this is why the moderator has given this question the title that he has.

Because there is limited information I don't think any of us can answer this. Having been a victim of an unrighteous man who physically and emotionally abused me--I don't believe that it is wrong for anyone, including a pastor, to interfere. We should all watch and care for each other. If one person is not taking care of their wife the way the Bible tells them--then others should speak up. Perhaps it should have been presented a little differently to prevent defensiveness

If a Pastor tells a husband that he cannot beat his wife is he "meddling?"
From this question we cannot tell what this Pastor is telling this man so how can so many of us say the Pastor is wrong?
There seems to be a gathering every time there is a question concerning a Pastor.
This is what Matt 7 speaks of. This is not righteous judgement.

This man has stopped being a pastor and become a dictator. He's out of line and thats not even Christian. It's being a busybody, sticking his nose into matters which don't concern him Proverbs 20:3 It is an honour for a man to cease from strife;but every fool will be meddling. This pastor is causing strife.Marriage is a scared contract between a man and woman, two, not three.1Peter4:15Let none of you suffer as a murderer, thief, evildoer,or as a busybody in other men's matters.Change churches.Quick!

Amen, Bro. Danny. I would tell him to mind his own business and I would get out of there so fast. He sounds like a dictator instead of pastor.

I don't usually like asking people to give more information than they have intially volunteered but on this one I have to agree with the moderator's title for your question. However, I don't believe any pastor has to right to interfere in any couple's marriage unless he had observed something wrong which is so important that he feels compelled to intervene. Most aspects of any marriage are between the couple and God only.

Just what does he mean when he says "he knows your wife?" Does that mean in the biblical sense? I hope not!
NONE of his business what goes on between you and your wife in ANY room of the house!

You must ask him what he means how he knows her & quite honestly only God should have total say so in a marriage home, now in the church yes the pastor should watch over the flock, but he is not suppose to be "behind the scenes" in your marriage in your house, only God should be.
