What Is The Proper Way To Pray
What's proper way you pray to God? I praise God first, thank God for blessings, answered prayers, pray for others, myself last. Does anyone know what "ACTS" stands for in prayer? I heard it stands for acclamation, confession, thanksgiving and supplication. Has anyone else heard this?

I think the A often stands for Adoration - agree with the rest! The Lord loves us to speak to him at any time, any place, any how - with love and joy; but it's always helpful to have a plan or method. Reading the Psalms or other scriptures eg Paul's writing and make them into prayers is great too. Hope you see loads of blessings along your way.

I go by the scripture that says "Come before His presence with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise." That's how I start my prayers. Then I ask forgiveness for any named or unnamed sins I may have committed, because I don't feel I can pray effectively for others with any sin in my life at that time. Then my needs & wants come last. I've never heard of ACTS, but it sounds pretty good to me.

No I haven't heard that. My pastor says ACTS is Active Christians Terrizing Satan. Just talk to God. After he is your bestest friend and he will understand no matter what your going through with.

We are to talk to God as if we where talking to a friend. God wants to hear from our hearts. He wants us to come to him simply and earnestly. He does not want a show he wants sincerety. there is no "rule" to praying just to simply talk to God and believe he will answer.

Scripture states God knows our heart. to go along with pierr7958, our prayers should be from the heart. God does not like reputition, much speaking. God wants a person to serve out out of our heart.
