You must abide in god and he will abide in you. We must seek his face by listening to him reading his word and witnessing to other. God is always with us and he never will forsake us. I think this is what seek his face means hope it helped.

I agree with tracy, I have seen his face. Read C.S. Lewis book Prince Capsian and as you learn that Satan uses depths of self-righteous to get us to justify ourselves with works. Also in C.S. Lewis work it also shows the infrastructure that a high percentage of christians fall into that they do not understand seeking his face. You can email me and we can talk more. Peace be with you.

I understand this to mean to look for God and seach Him out. (Ps. 63) We have the Word which is our answer book. Look here, especially the New Testament, to find out who God says He is. At this time, we are under the new covenant of grace and peace, established by the blood of Jesus. God needs to be sought through the finished work of His Son.

I don't believe in promoting other written material besides the Bible.
The Bible and prayer are all you need seek God. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have no jealousy among them. Praying to God in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and reading, meditating upon the Word of God, allowing the Holy Spirit to be your teacher - is a good way to seek God.

Prayer and fasting are the power tools, the Biblical way to seek God.
Written material about the Word of God is information. Only God's Word will give you transformation.
Opinions of man, much study even from Christian books can weary and confuse your mind. The Bible renews your mind.

How to seek God- worship him for who he is. Just spend some time extoling God for who he is- Jehovah, The Savior, The Lord Almighty, ect..
Love on Jesus with all of your heart and be sincere before him. Come before him for thanksgiving, worship and praise.
God can't resist us when we do this with a clean heart.
There is another book called Beyond the Veil by Alice Smith- very good.

hey mike...Gods face is also his presence...if you would seek his literal face you'd die (exodus 33)...the amplified does a good job with some of these symbolic phrases, check out that version online every so often

Seek means to crave......

No man can seek God and find him for the flesh has no ability to see God. Quit everything and wait upon him for he will surely find you, then you follow him. No man can come to me except he be send by the father, Christ said. No man can see the father except through me he also said. Just quit all self initiated religious activities and terry. You won't find him in constant prayer, neither can you find him through bible studies.

I have the same question. II Chron. 7:14 says in part, "seek My face". As a Christian for a long time, I am studying this verse, and want to get a full grasp of exactly what seeking God's face really means. Thanks.

To Seek, is to go to God on your knees or to pray till you get in his presence or to search after him, he wants us to come to him to reverance him .....i hope you understand ...Are you saved? Do you read the Bible? Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his rightenouss, and all these things shall be added unto you....he wants our attention, he wants us to have a personal relationship with him.

you have to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior first.
Peace be with you

Richardson, First of all, you can't even come to the Father except through Jesus Christ. The answer depends on whether you are a Christian or not. If you're not a Christian, you must first be saved.
If you are a Christian, then I would ask you if you have obeyed Romans 12:1&2, which is what Romans 6 is about. Have you surrendered your life to the Lord and HIS righteousness?

Kindly help me with these questions
Is seeking God,s face only reading his word and prayer, or there is more to it
---Richardson on 11/11/06|
By asking this question,we know that God is seeking you. The Holy Spirit has sought you out and in placing you under conviction, trying to help you seek the information you need to get saved. Buy a King James Version Bible and find a church that preaches from that Bible and the Holy Spirit will lead you from there. Or feel free to email me with any questions
Peace be with you

greetings, blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.suspicion and revenge are two arch enemies of the personality that seeks to meet truth face to face.man must overcome the beast ,in so doing he shall some day see God.

Seeking God's face is not about fanciful worship full blasted with orchestrated time of celebration. It is a having a life style of worship as man draws nearer and nearer to God in each day of his life. And as this happens, the term "PERSONAL" relationship with the Almighty God will soon be realized.

Recently I have been seeking God for the manifestation of my sons healing. I am passionate about the manifestation of the healing and I have spent hours in prayer, reading about healing, crying out to God, praising God and HUNGERING for the manifested healing...and God told me that THIS is how I should be HUNGERING after HIM and seeking HIS FACE..with the type of passion that I was seeking my sons healing (healing which Jesus already did on the cross and is already a done deal)
---Tracy on 11/2/05|
The term "seeking God's face" is symbolic of seeking His presence. Tommy Tenney has a book called "The God Chasers" that will help you. Todd Bentley of Fresh Fire Ministries also has material available on "soaking in God's presence." Both men have material available on the Internet.

First you have to believe in Him (because you're asking the question at all, you must), then you pray to Him, and then you look (no prayer goes unanswered). Be sure to look in the right places, though. Asking to see His face doesn't mean He'll show yuo a picture or appear in a dream. Look at the simple as well as the complex.
---Heather on 10/12/05|
the question still has not been answered what steps do you take I know it more then just praying.

There is a group called " Seekers"
The visible church with all its "notions" organization and ceremonies was repudiated while the true believer waits and seeks for the church of the apostolic power which God will establish.
Seekers were earnst, peacable, spiritually minded people and appear to have had large meetings in New England and in Bristol. They were absorbed by the Quakers.

I've used visualization to seek the face of Jesus in prayer, and I know at the very least it increases my focus and fervor.
Seeking the face of God to me can also be looking for him smile upon you as you do his will throughout the day, the more you look the more evidence you'll recieve, and your faith will grow ever stronger.
---Pharisee on 9/7/05|
My understanding of seeking God's face is to seek His Presence. My favorite way to do this is to worship Him in a heart-felt way. Just admiring Him for all His Goodness and being aware that He is ever present and that He delights in spending time with *me*!
I love the fact that He wants me to personally experience and actually "feel" His love (Ephesians 3;19, Hebrews 6:5 & John 13:1). I love the fact that He's as close as my breath and here for me the moment my thoughts turn to Him.

Jesus is the face of God. And no one can come to the Father except through Jesus. So righten yourself with Jesus, and you will find the face of God. Please read The Roman Road and Sinner's Prayer= Roamns 10:9-13; Psalm 51.
