True will of God in your life shows when people see the light shining through you.
It is one thing to say you "accept"Jesus& then go through life not knownig if you really did& therefore not knownig if you have the will of God, it is another to accept him & be a faithful servant telling others, this is one way to know Gods will.

Love God first and completely, and love your neighbor as yourself. We are to do the works of Christ: feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the prisoners and the shut-ins by infirmity, be a friend to the friendless and the stranger, be a father to the fatherless, share our faith and make disciples of all nations. Then there are specialties for the members, it may be music, tongues, interpretations of tongues, prophesying, preaching, teaching, etc. Pray about doing his will, then the fear will subside.

randy, You are so right. My husband said the other day that we need to pay tithes, but if we do how will we pay our rent, I told him the question should be..If we pay rent, how will we pay tithes. tithes should always come first.

Moderator - Prove this with NT scripture please.

The true will of God is already in scripture. Why try to find it in other sources. Any scripture that says "for this is the will of God" is part of the true will of God and God has promised to guide us according to His will for our lives so there is nothing to worry about. The main point is to communicate daily with Him through prayer and bible study, not just bible reading. And He has promised to guide us and to be with us in all circumstances.

I was in that position myself, until I started going to a church that had the gifts of the Holy Spirit in operation. I rely heavily on prophetic words that my spirit bears witness to for guidance, and I know people with a real gift of wisdom and discernment, so I usually run things by them before I rush into anything.

Irene,God leads you by PEACE.Step out,if you still feel peaceful(harmony, joy, doesn't go against the Bible)take another step.At one time I felt God's leading to be part in starting a CHristian radio station. My emotions were unsure, but in my spirit I sensed"this will be good for your life."It was.I grew spiritually, witnessed, and had huge sales.Blessings,

Irene, I think about my fear and lack of faith. My example is the issue about tithing. For many years I only tithed if I had enough at the end of the year. When I gave it over to god and my tithe became of my first fruits incredible things happened in my life. It is that leap of faith that is so scary and the reason we dont do what we are lead to do. Just look at Jonah and what happened to him when he ran from god.

First I think it would be good to settle in your mind that you are not going to be afraid if He helps you to know His will! This potential fear seems to indicate distrust on your part. So when He says, as He does, that He has plans for you to prosper and be happy you would do well to trust Him.

Sometimes when God asks us to do something, we can still suffer from our human fears, however, when one trusts God to supply all that is needed for us to successfully complete the mission He assigns, that is when our faith in God is proven. I've learnt this from personal experience, God will enable you, trust Him, step out in faith. God bless
