Jesus heals and delivers because He is compassionate. Works have nothing to do with it.
For His miracles demonstrate His honor, majesty, and eternal goodness.

The Bible gives the best description of the "works of Jesus Christ". Others may write about them, but only your own personal experience of His works in you will satsify. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you will soon discover and delight in "His works" in abundance. Reading scriptures will build your faith.

I suggest it would be better for you to read about him yourself first from the Bible and from other inspired writers. One of the best books about Jesus is "The Desire of Ages" See if you can find it. It is excellent!
---Pierr7958 on 6/17/07|
you should get a Holy Bible and read the Gospel by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And i suggest that you start with the gospel of John, because this will give you the clear identitiy of who Jesus is.

Jesus is God's Son. He came to earth to die to pay the price for our sins. Jesus died on a cross and was buried. God the Father raised Jesus from the dead after 3 days. If you repent and believe in Jesus as your saviour, you will be saved. John 3:16

He died for you. That was His greatest work. He made a way for you to know God, your creator by laying down His life. He so much wants you to just call on Him to be in His life. He'll show you who He is and how much He loves you. He'll start a relationship with you and your life will never be the same. He'll be with you and strengthen you with everything you have to go through in life. And then when your body dies, you'll still know Him forever and ever. And His love for you will never end.

I was saved when I was 5-I was hit by a car, in a coma for 21/2 months (had brain surgery twice), completely paralyzed on one side of my body when I was 12, in a tornado when I was 18, began having major seizures (again) at 23. The fact that I'm alive at all (even after all this)is a work of God. He does amazing things in my life daily.

Before I became a Christian, I was a drug addict, a drunk and had abortions ... when I finally gave in to Jesus and let Him into my heart, I could not believe the changes in me. Today I'm a completely different person and He works constantly in me. He can and does make a difference when you let Him work in your heart. Now, that person I was is dead and I'm a new creation in Jesus Christ.

bob6749, thank you.

Eloy, Matthew 25:21,23 does not say the servant was without sin.
1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us 9.

Urika, thanks for your Amen, reading some of your replies makes it even more appreciative.
Thank's Again, & God's Best To You.

bob6749 is right. Have you believed in Jesus as your saviour?
Romans 3:23 \ 6:23 \ 5:8
Jesus greatest work is saving souls.
---Ulrika on 9/29/05|
Gotta get "born again" first, the things of Echad/God are spiritually discerned, else everyone "might" be saved [another Babel].
---bob6749_[Elishama] on 9/29/05|
I agree. Start with John, but read the four gospels. In the OT, Isaiah tells of the Messiah. And I believe Jesus' works continue in believers and that he will come again.

geraa, we are not all sinners. Jesus said, "WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter you into the joy of your lord." Matthew 25:21,23.
---Eloy on 9/20/05|
What better way to know more about the works of Jesus than to do the works of Jesus and let that teach you? Opportunities abound now to do the works. It is called 'love thy neighbor.'

Beatus:Seek Jesus in your Heart because this is where he comes to you in his all encompassing love which he shares freely.Compare the things of this world in relation to his teachings.Reflect on why he came to this world & died for our sins thereby opening the gates of Heaven to all mankind & lastlly. Pick up your cross & follow him.

Debor, I love your answer. I always advise someone who ask me to start in John and read the new testiment first. To understand the old testiment, you must be aquainted with the history of those times. I fail in that area.

Jesus finished His work 2000 years ago, and that is to die on the cross to redeem us from the grasp of eternal death (those that believe). Jesus, NOW, is the church, which, according to the Bible, is His Body. To see the works of Jesus, Join a Jesus-Bible believing church and OBSERVE what they do. They do a lots of "....unto others..." thing. If it is not Jesus-Bible church, it is not the works of Jesus you see.

Basic salvation, we are all sinners, Romans 3:10, 23. Wages of sin is death, Romans 6:23. But there is a gift from God, Romans 6:23. Saved by faith, Ephesians 2:8-9. Christ died FOR our sins, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4. Being sealed once we trust and believe, Ephesians 1:13.

You can learn about the earthly ministry through reading Matthew to John, However keep in mind that deals with Israel, on fulfilling the prophecy. If you read the book of Acts, you will start seeing a change. Starting in chapter 7 through 9. Starting in Romans God starts a new program dealing with man.

Matthew,Mark,Luke, and John the first four books of the New Testament tell about Jesus'
teachings through parables
ascension into heaven
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, by me.

Obtain a King James Version Bible and begin reading the New Testament witness by Matthew, witness by Mark, witness by Luke, and witness by John.
---Eloy on 9/19/05|
Start with the gospel of John. Remember that the greatest work Jesus did was dying on the cross for our sins, because He loves us. Ask God to reveal Himself to you as you read the bible. God bless you!
---debor4834 on 9/19/05|
The Bible is the greatest book ever written and is the best way to learn about the works of Jesus. It is the truest form of teaching.
Also if you can find a bible book store near you ask the person in charge to direct to some books on whatever subjects interest you.
There are many awsome Christian books out there which plainly explain many questions we have as we go through this christian life.
