NVBarb: If you go anywhere near Ocala, say "Hi" to my friend, Ruth. She is the best friend God could have ever given me.

The weather here in Philly is mild temps, and cool breezes. I just hate having to scrape the frost off my windshield in the morning. UGH!
---Madison on 2/24/08

Please pray for me. i'm trying really hard to find work.
---Eloy on 12/18/05

JOHN!!! Its time we had a new "Wazzup" blog!
---NVBarbara on 11/21/05

NVBarb: I am certainly going to keep your sister in my prayers. I can't imagine losing one of my children.

The group had a glitch en route to Mississippi. One of the trucks broke down and had to be left in Birmingham, AL. They will pick it up on the way home.

Thanks for the prayers for my treatment. God is getting me through this. His grace and strength are all I have right now.
---Madison on 11/21/05

Your sister in law and the group will be in our prayers Madison. God bless them for the work they are doing.
How are you feeling sis? I'm praying your goals are met, I admire your determination. God bless!

Git er done Olie! You're a sick individual, I like that in a person!
---NVBarbara on 11/21/05

Hello brothers and sisters. A quick trip and I'm exhausted. My sister didn't do very well holding up after her son's death. She got sick and had to be taken to the ER after the visitation at the funeral home on fri. night. She was sick all night, and did not attend the funeral. This will take a lot of healing, please keep her in your prayers, her name is Legare',yeah, like Simon Legare'. Thanks to all of you.
---NVBarbara on 11/21/05

Today is the last day of race season for NASCAR! Where am I going to bring my new BBQ recipes now? I know, football! I'll invent a new type of tailgate redneck party! Oh, excuse me, some of us hillbillies prefer to be called Appelachian Americans now! Not me, I love redneck. Get-er- done!
---Olie on 11/20/05

Madison, I am praying right now for all involved. I know there are blessings there. May it all be successful!
---John on 11/19/05

Hello everyone. Please pray for my sister-in-law this week. She, and a group from my church, left this morning to travel from PA to Mississippi to help repair houses damaged by Katrina. They have 6 men and 4 women who will be putting up drywall. Pray for safety and strength throughout.
---Madison on 11/19/05

Hello! What's up?
---Dennis on 11/18/05

Thanks to all of you. I will take a 'red eye' across country tonight, with a lay over at O'Hare...argh. I prefer flying at night, I can usually sleep fairly comfortably on a plane at night.
See you all next week. God bless.
---NVBarbara on 11/17/05

Barbara, I am praying right now for you and the family. This is a time to draw closer to Jesus for everyone. He is the answer to every question. My love and God's blessings to you all!
---Ralph on 11/17/05

Barbara. May the Lord comfort you, your family and your friends. It's usually a surprise when someone goes like this, and we are never ready. Although it isn't eay to lose a loved one, think of the 38 years God gave him to be with all of you. God bless you!
---Mary on 11/17/05

I have been away for awhile. Barbara, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Was he saved? May the Lord comfort you and your whole family in this time of need. I will definately continue to pray. God bless, sis.
---John on 11/17/05

NVBarb: My heart just breaks for you and your family. My brother is 39. Too young to die, in my opinion. My love and prayers go out to you at this time.
---Madison on 11/17/05

I'm asking for more prayer. My nephew died earlier tonight of an apparent heart attack, they're not sure, so an autopsy will be done.
He was only 38. Please keep my family in your prayers.

You're right Madison, everybody buy some Kleenex stock!

I just returned from a Bible study with some women from my church. It was a great study of Jesus' temptation in the desert. The teacher is so knowledgeable in the Word and she handles it so well.
---Madison on 11/16/05

I am back from a journey and I am glad to be here at this blog! I don't know if anyone remembers me but I used to be sort of a wise guy, but the Lord has been working on me every day. How are you Barbara, John, and the gang? I even missed Bob, Alan and even Elder. God bless you all! Jesus changes lives! Yes!
---Ralph on 11/16/05

Hey everyone, I have off from treatmetn tonight. It is going well, but I do cry a lot. My therapist says that is good. I hope so. You all should buy stock in Kleenex this month.

NevBarb, I make a mean garlic mashed potatoes...I put sour cream and bacon and scallions in them. They will clog your arteries and make your breath kill the next person you kiss.
---Madison on 11/16/05

Garlic mashed potatoes sounds wonderful! I hear red skin potatoes make great mashed potatoes and they are cheap. You might think that it's a simple thing but for me it isn't. A month ago, I couldn't boil water.
---Robert on 11/16/05

Hiya all. We need some heavy duty prayer. My husband's and his partner's buisness is in the process of being sold. Papers have been signed, but the other party keeps putting off the closing. Steve will stay on as their programmer, but it will be a load of work rewriting all the software the way they want it. He's just drained, pray for his strength and patience during this time please and that the transition will go smoothly.
---NVBarbara on 11/16/05

Not a cartoon Robert, just a day to day exchanging of ideas, prayer requests, whatever is going on in our lives, and yeah, some clowning around!
I'm not a big turnip fan, but I do make garlic mashed potatoes. yumm!
Happy to meet you btw, hang around, and stop in the Humor Blog sometimes!

Robert: you would do best to go to Google for a recipe if you want a good recipe. I doubt that Olie will be on the Food Network anytime soon.
---Madison on 11/16/05

Now I'm really confused!?!?! Is this a cartoon?
I just discovered cooking and I need some ideas. Road kill? Thanks but I'll stick to normal American cooking. If Olie's cooking is spicy than I'll pass on his recipes.
Have you ever tried turnips in mashed potatoes? It's really good!
---Robert on 11/16/05

About time for a new What's Up blog eh John?
We're getting low on the 2nd list!
---NVBarbara on 11/16/05

NO NO ROBERT!!! If you want to learn to cook, close your eyes when you come across any blog about cooking from Olie!!
It could warp you for life!
No one really knows where Olie comes from, he just sauntered in one day talking about fresh road kill, he scares me!
We do know that he is a redneck though. As in an earlier blog, we found out his monitor is on blocks, and he refers to his mouse as 'critter!'

Who is this dude Olie anyway? Is he from the mountains or something? This is a whole new dimension to me! Is he a chef or something because I'm just learning how to cook and I need some good ideas for thanksgiving myself.

Hey, I heard this blog has gravy! That is my specialty. At last count I have 102 gravy recipes, from Ardvarks to Zoo animals(retired). The humane society didn't take a likin to some of these fixins. They sort of frown on Camel cream gravy stock. what a hump! I threw in a couple of bison bullion cubes just so the cows wouldn't be insulted. I will report back to you fine folks when I run out of ideas.
No animals were tested during these experimental trials. Not so you would notice anyway. Get-er-done!
---Olie on 11/15/05

Thank you for being here Eloy! I love you brother, and you're always in our prayers.

GREAT news about your friend Darlene! How did your test turn out? We'll keep praying.

Pierre, Please forgive me for overlooking your reply. That was very thoughtful of Madison and we will pray that this injury does not have any lasting effects.
My daughter was in an accident about 5 years ago and her neck was sprained. After 3 months she felt better and she got a check for $8300 in a settlement. About a year ago she started to have neck problems in the same area. Sometimes this effects her work performance. So pray and use God's wisdom. God bless you and your family.

Thanks for the prayers everyone. The doctor did approve the medical leave. Now, I just have to work out the logistics for my school.

NVBarbara: I am currently taking Airborne, which has megadoses of vitamins for immune system. I also take the B-complex as well.

Got good news, my family doctor has finally received the flu vaccine and I will get my shot on Wednesday.
---Madison on 11/14/05

This past week-end my dear wife Janice was involved in a serious enough car accident that almost killed her.
The sb-AB saved her!She was admitted to the hospital with a shattered humerous 3 in. above her knee. She will have to be off her broken leg for 2-3 months! It will be a challenge since I don't get around so well anymore.
The good new: It was not her fault and the other party has insurance. Also, my middle son will be able to help since he lives here.
Thank the Lord, it was not worse!
---Pierre on 11/14/05

I hope everyone had a great weekend! May the Lord bless each and everyone of you. Pray for me. I'm starting a new career and I don't know what to expect. I know that the Lord will be with me. My son Bob is coming to visit next month and I'm so excited!

Barbara, I've been looking for good vitamins that absorb into the system properly. In fact my vitamins "Centrum" don't seem to be getting it. Where can I find a Shaklee distributor and are their vitamins and suppliments expensive?
I don't think that I ever gave you my e-mail but it's john4738.
---John on 11/11/05

God bless you Sue, you've been missed!
Happy to see you back!
---NVBarbara on 11/11/05

GREAT Madison! Take good care of yourself! Do you take vitimin suppliments? May I suggest a good B-Complex, 800 mg of E, as much vitamin C as possible, Beta Carotene and Omega 3? I get chewable C and munch them like mints during the day! They don't store in your body, and they are reduced in your body by caffiene and other things. Uh oh, my mother side is showing! I just care Sis! Find a "Shaklee" distributor for the best vitimins.
