Meaning Of God The Father
When we say "God the Father" do we mean just 'God the father of Jesus'? I have always regarded it as meaning 'God OUR Father', but the title Mod put to another question made me wonder what he and others felt.

God is our Father and we are His children. He bought me with the blood of His precious Son, Jesus Christ. We are joint heirs with Jesus.

Acts20:28,"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood." While punctuation was not in the original, this verse is from the KJV which many say is the best trans.. so "...the Holy Ghost hath ...purchased with his own blood."

Each person who is born-again, he is their Father; thus YHWH is my Papa. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Being born again not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and stays for ever. John 1:12,13; I Peter 1:23. Please read Galatians 4:6.

Mike, where in the Bible does it say the Holy Goast died for our sins?

Some people have to use "God the Father" to show separate parts of the trinity. That always confuses me because all things were created by Jesus Christ. But then the Holy Ghost died for my sins.
When my son introduces me to his friends, it is as "this is my father", just as my wife introduces me as "my husband", etc. Same person but different to different people.

God has revealed Himself to us as "Father" in relationship to Jesus the "son". However, He also has adopted us into His family and is our Father.Romans 8:15, "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."

God is THE Father, meaning the one & only true Father of us all. To say God the Father or God our Father is the same thing.
