I bowed on my knees and cried holy...michael english. It puts me right in the presence of the Lord!
---Debra_Fiorini on 6/10/09

There are so many songs to choose from! I would have to say that my top five favorite songs are:
Wait for Me by Rebecca St James
You're my Little Girl by Go Fish
Made to Love by Tobymac
Dead Man (Carry Me) by Jars of Clay
Big Enough by Ayiesha Woods
---Katie on 11/9/07

1) I LOVE the song by mercyme:

"The Love Of God"

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell
It goes beyond the highest star
And reaches to the lowest hell
The guilty pair, bowed down with care
God gave His Son to win
His erring child He reconciled
And pardoned from his sin

Could we with ink the ocean fill
And were the skies of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill
And every man a scribe by trade
---christina on 11/9/07

2)
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whol
Though stretched from sky to sky

Hallelujah [3x]

O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints' and angels' song

Make me over again
Lord I say "Yes"(to your will)
Open the floodgates of Heaven
Looking for a Miracle.
Bye and Bye(when the morning comes)

A preacher was completing a temperance sermon: with great expression he said,

"If I had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and throw it into the river."

With even greater emphasis he said:

"And if I had all the wine in the world, Id take it and throw it into the river."

And then finally, he said:

"And if I had all the whiskey in the world, I'd take it and throw it into the river."

continues.....
---Caring on 11/8/07

part 2....

He sat down.

The song leader then stood very cautiously and announced with a smile,

"For our closing song, let us sing Hymn # 365: *Shall We Gather at the River".

THIS is the best hymn.

Holly: You can listen to the song online in only a few seconds, just go into DEWALD VILJOEN MINISTRIES... and under worship music, click on to I WORSHIP YOU, it is different than the one you have below, although I LOVE that song too. You can download all of DEWALDS songs, every one is beautiful.

It's a tie between 'His Eye Is on the Sparrow' and 'Wondrous Love' for year-round.

And I like Mannheim Steamroller's version of 'O Come, O Come, Immanuel' for Christmas listening. And "The Rebel Jesus" for singing.

The Via DoLorosa, by Sandi Patti

The blood that would cleanse the souls of all men
Made its way through the heart of Jerusalem.

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering
Like a lamb came the Messiah, Christ the King
But He chose to walk that road out of His love for you and me
Down the Via Dolorosa, all the way to Calvary.
---Lisa on 11/6/07

Rugged Old Cross. Me and my mother love this song. It's an oldie but a goodie. Matter of fact, I love all those old Christian songs that we used to sing in church when I was little. Churchs dont sing those old ones hardly any more. Thats such a shame. Another one that comes to my mind is Onward Christian Solders.

Mercy Me, "Word of God Speak" is such an amazing song. It makes me feel warm and relaxed in spirit. I feel calmness all around me. I love listening to music that glorifies God.
---Kella3336 on 11/2/07

Holly, if you come to Texas, you must visit CFNI with me-you and I have the same taste in music. You are a Messianic Jew right? You know they are HUGE supporters of Israel right? They have an Israeli flag flying right next to the U.S flag in their auditorium. Love it! They also hosted a conference on Israel last year- I couldn't go to because I had a baby but I know they support them more than most churches do.
---MichelleS on 11/1/07

Bless you Holly, I'll call her cell and tell her to get it for me, Thanks so much for finding it.

Hi Whisper...wow that is so cool!!! Kinda like a prophetic moment! That song...WE WILL RIDE is on the CD "Revival at Brownsville". I have the CD...it's awesome. I'm sure your mom can pick up a copy for you or I also found it on that merchandise website that is a river in South America and starts with an "A"...if you want to look there. You might want to check out other Lindell Cooley songs...he's great! Happy worshipping...and tell your mom I'm jealous...but in a good way!
---Holly4jc on 10/31/07

CFNI Rocks the house! Anything by CFNI I will listen too. Love Rick Pino and Klaus Kuehn (spelling?)

There are so many, but the most moving one to my spirit is "I Exalt Thee"...it fills me to overflowing with love for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I also love "Mercy Re-wrote My Life" and "Love Grew Where the Blood Fell".
---Irene on 10/31/07

Holly, I responded to this immediately but it somehow evaporated from Christianet.

The most amazing thing happened, I was so happy that you knew who this is by, and I never heard of this singer ever before, ONE SECOND after I received your blog on this my Mom sent an email saying, she is now going to Orlando to hear LINDELL COOLEY! I just about fell off my chair.

1) Hi Whisper...I know that song...I think it's off the Revival in Brownsville CD. I first heard it when I went to the revival at Brownsville in Pensacola, Florida back in the mid-1990's. Check the name Lindell Cooley or Brownsville Assembly of God (do a search) and see if you can find it on the internet. I love that song too...they used to have bumper stickers in Florida that said "Yes Lord, I will ride".
---Holly4jc on 10/31/07

2) I have a couple of Brownsville/Lindell Cooley Cd's...I'll look later after work to see if I can find it and I'll let you know which CD it's on. :-)
