Christians Go Out To Drinking Club
What do you say to other christians who ask you to go out to the club w/ them or to drink and not sound like a judge when you tell them "it's because I'm saved I don't particpate"?
Moderator - Christians are to judge each other first of all. Second, I would ask them why in the world would a Christian want to do those types of things?

I've spent all my teen-adult years with Middle Eastern Christians who's doctrines originate from the first Christians, some even go further back to John the Baptist. They drink with meals & celebrations but do not advocate being intoxicated. Declaring wine/alcohol as a sin is more Westernized Christianity. I do not believe it is a sin to have a glass of wine or consume an alcoholic beverage. I don't advocate drinking as a lifestyle of party etc and may consume a bev at most 2-3 times in a year.

Simply tell them "no thank you". I went through this and was called a goodie two shoes. I just simply walked away and ignored it. If they are Christians as well, they don't need a reason why or an explanation from you.

A person who has Christ living in them would never Go partying. Because the Holy Spirit would leave he does not live with uncleaness. he only abides where there is repentence.Samson lay his head in delilas lap and never knew the Spirit had departed. an unprofitable servant is judged of the Lord.exzucuh

To Becky, Christian people won't be in a beer joint period. The only thing you will find there is trouble. I followed that lifestyle for years and I know what it's about. Men+women+alcohol=trouble

First of all, drop the self-righteous "because I'm saved" part and just say no if you do not want to go. They may like to dance is why they go to a club.

1 Corinthians 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.exzucuh

To all, One way to gauge what to do or where to go is don't go anywhere you can't take your children. My wise uncle said he didn't go anywhere he couldn't take his children. I believe he is right.

These "Christians" are backslid den. Lovingly help them back up, but do not be partaker of it. If you hang around a barbershop long enough, you will get a hair cut..
