To be carnally minded is death.
To walk in the Spirit we should have the mind of Christ and be seeking those things which are above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
Seeking to please God as Jesus always did even though as humans we may fail.
To be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Always mindful of the Lord to the best of our ability.

I am a mortal human made of flesh. Can someone please tell me how I can 'die daily of the flesh' and why I suppose to be weak? If we are not spiritual beings how can we walk in the spirit? |

Walking in the Spirit means daily dying to self and living to Christ . The Holy Spirit leads us into all things righteous away from the carnal things which destroy a Christian's walk with Christ . It is putting Christ first and ourselves last . Walking in the Spirit is wanting to please Jesus more than wanting to please ourselves . It is allowing the Holy Ghost to be , thus keeping us from sin,our stength when we are weak . Caution guided by Spiritual wisdom , grasping the mind of Christ . |

Amen! I like all of these replies! To me, Romans 8:5 does a nice job of summarizing the definition of "walking in the Spirit".
"Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires." (NIV)
"Walking in the Spirit" -- it's all about where your "thinking" is at.

Mima and Madison described it very well, but it's also action. Walking in the spirit also refers being so in touch with and so submissive to God that others see Him shining through you in your words and actions. |
