Lisa: I'm sorry but I miss understood your statement. I thought that you were saying that if a person doesn't repent that won't cause them to go to hell. So disregard my last statement to you.
---Rebecca_D on 10/7/07|
Yes. But Idolatry and Rebellion, are the two things that remove the covering of Gods protective hand over ones life. Yet after we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive us our sins, and remember them no more. God is not willing that any should perish but that all would come unto repentance and turn away from their sins.
---Whisper on 10/6/07|
Catherine: I would have to disagree with you. Nobody wants to repent and acknowledge their sin?? Everyday I always ask God if I done anything to anyone or have said anything hurtful to someone, to please let me know, so I can make it right. Lisa: If a person doesn't repent, yes my friend they are on their way to hell. As the bible says if you know to do good and doeth it not that is a sin. Are you saying that when a person does wrong, they don't have to repent?
---Rebecca_D on 10/6/07|
Have we forgot, Jesus took sin away. Why do Christians deny the work of Christ? If HE has not taken sin away, you have NO christianity.
Repenting of sin will not take sin away.
Repenting(turning to Christ) WILL take sin away. For HE is the sin bearer.
---duane on 10/6/07|
Not repenting causes us to go to hell. Forgiveness ,Loving God with all our hearts, soul and mind and loving our neighbors is the key!
---Lisa on 10/6/07|
Blessings to you Mima, I believe that unconfessed sin(1 John 1:9) will send you to hell. I also believe that rejecting God's only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ will send you to hell as well. Jesus willingly laid down His life and shed His blood for us on the Cross of Calvary so we could recieve eternal life. Rejecting Jesus Christ and His free gift of eternal life is the worst sin of all. So, yes sin will send you to hell.
---Cynthia on 10/5/07|
Wow what a great question. In one word YES. Nobody wants to repent and acknowledge their sins. We rather keep our pleasures and keep our lives than to repent and escape hell.
---catherine on 10/5/07|
19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
---Matthew_from_LA on 10/5/07|
2) That last post was from Galations 5.
See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
If you are OSAS then why give such a warning?
---Matthew_from_LA on 10/5/07|
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liarstheir place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
Why not just say the unbelievers will go to hell? Why say the unbelievers and all the sinners are going to hell?
---Matthew_from_LA on 10/5/07|
I hate to inform you on this one too. "Sin" is the only thing that will separate you from God.
---catherine on 10/5/07|
1st John 15:16-17" 16-If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
17- All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death." Does not contain the words venial sins nor mortal sins nor senting anyone to hell. Are you listening to the priest too much? I'm sure you have a Catholic Bible please look these verses up in it.
---Mima on 10/5/07|
Sin will separate anyone from God and therefore leading that person on the road to hell. Sin is sometimes in secret, and sometimes it is out in the open. But whatever sin someone tries to hide, God will always bring it out in the open. If a person does not repent of their sins, they can not make it to heaven. God commands everyone, everywhere to repent. Acts 17:30.
---Rebecca_D on 10/5/07|
Unbelief in HIM is the only thing that will separate you from God. Jesus took sin away.
---duane on 10/5/07|
Mat 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Mat 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Mat 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Mat 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
---keith9538 on 10/5/07|
1 John 5:16-17. Sins which kill are mortal sins and these send you to Hell. Sins with do not kill are venial sins and do not condemn you to Hell. A mortal sin requires knowledge and consent.
Acts 20:9 Paul preached for so long that a young man fell asleep and fell out a window. Not one word of what Paul preached that day is recorded, we can only assume that he preached the Gospel. Not everything that was taught is recorded in the Scriptures, which is why we have 2 Thess 2:15 and 1 Timothy 3:15.
---lorra8574 on 4/1/07|
Jesus took care of sin at the Cross for the whole world. The only sin now is rejecting Jesus for the forgiveness of sin, God gives through His Son Jesus Christ.
2 Thess 1:8
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Thess 2:10
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, (The Gospel), that they might be saved.

Yes sin causes people to go to hell.
---Eloy on 3/31/07|
Alan; We all need to ask God to search our hearts and try us and if anything be hidden, he will bring it to our memory and we repent. Ps 139:23-24, Job 13:23. God says that our sin will find us out. Everyday I ask God to search my heart for sins. If smoking is a sin, God will let me know now, not after I die. Sin doesn't go into heaven, unrepented sins as well.
---Rebecca_D on 3/31/07|
yes if we have not trusted Jesus as our savior. we will go to hell.
---lee5749 on 3/31/07|
If we have not accepted Jesus Christ as our saviour it causes us to go to Hell.
---Madison on 3/24/07|
Rebecca ... from what you say, no-one will enter heaven. We have all committed some unconscious sins, whicha re therefore unrepented. And you say that will send us to hell. You do not accept that smoking is a sin. I happen to agree with you, but supposing it does turn out, when you reach the pearly gates, that smoking IS a sin, you would be doomed. Similarly, I might find that drinking chemically purifed water is a sin, and I too would be doomed!
---alan8869_of_UK on 12/13/05|
No. Denying Christ causes a person to go to hell. Reason being, if a person denies Christ He has to deny them because He said it. When we except Jesus as our Savior we are made righteous and are sealed until the day of redemption by the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:30)(Matthew 10:33) The Bible says that if we do sin we have an Advocate or Lawyer with the Father, Christ. Because of this we can repent and God blots out our transgressions and doesn't remember them.(Isaiah 43:25)
---Rickey on 12/13/05|
Yes, one unrepented, unknowing sin can take you to hell. Sin will not enter in heaven. No one is exempt from this, no one is so perfect that we can't sin.
---Rebecca_D on 12/6/05|
You are correct heaven is and will forever be devoid of sin. Although we are sinners saved by grace existing in a fallen flesh at Christ return this corruption will put on incorruption. Yet, we must also understand that alcoholics don't go to hell because of alcoholism and murders doen't go to hell because of murder. People go to hell for one reason and one reason only - unbelief. See John 3.18.
---Ronnie on 11/18/05|
, NO. it is only the stubborn refusal to accept God's grace that sends people to hell. there is no excuse for those who are condemned, they rejected Jesus, and so they have themselves to blame.
---steve on 11/16/05|
Eloy, everywhere I go you are there. Everyone sin's until they die. Maybe not you because you are without sin but all the rest do. We stand before God as righteous because of what Christ did for us but this regeneration is spiritual. We still live in the flesh and that is why we have a mediator, and a high Priest to speak in our behalf. When we die we will no longer sin. Then we will be judge as for our rewards. I am talking about born again Christians that have not been glorified yet.
---Lupe2618 on 11/14/05|
yes, no sin nor sinners are in heaven. Sin will separate you from God, and if left uncorrected the end is hell.
---Eloy on 11/14/05|
Eph 4:32 Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ.
Luk 17:3 So watch what you do! "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.
Ask The Lord to help you..
