The 50's were not a moral period. Women were held to morality, the men were not. Women were encouraged to stay with adulterous husbands... "mini gods"... what blasphemy! Pharisees thought they were moral, but Jesus saw their hearts. Satan is all about deception. What may look pure, at times is not! Alice Cooper had his sinful life, but he received Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. He has repented. He has been married to one women for 33 years and has been faithful. I am leary of men who speak with haughtiness, they are usually covering something. Yes, there is much healing that the Lord must do in my heart, I know, but only Jesus Christ can do that. When I was at Alice's concert, there was a spiritual connection. |

"As a "former" fan of Alice Cooper, all I can say is that "IF" he has become a christian, he certainly has a lot of negative influence to overcome."
With God, he has no negative influence to overcome. His relationship with Jesus overcomes his relationship with the world. |

Im a Christian and have always enjoyed his music, not so much the lyrics but suburb musical talant. I believe music does change some people , but if you a christian and a well balanced person then nothing should change you. Good on him for seeing the light of Jesus, but bring on the music whoo hoo |

Alice Cooper's father and grandfather were ministers. He travelled down a destructive road, but regained sobriety. He is an avid golfer, too, and uses that physical outlet as a focusing activity. I credit Alice with lifting me out of a long depression -- I went to one of his concerts in 2003 and at that moment realized that I had not been experiencing joy in my life for a long long time (caring for elderly parents, daughter with autism, unsupportive husband). After that I started listening to music, took up horseback riding, and felt alive again. Alice is a remarkable man. He's been maried to one woman for over 30 years and through all his wild years in rock n' roll he never cheated on her (she happens to be a classically trained ballerina!) |

The scriptures tell us "not to judge". I believe him when he says the Lord saved him and changed his very being. The bible says we become new person after we are saved. If you ask God to forgive you, He promises to forgive. I think AC's actions, church going, volunteering in nursery, no more living a life he had privously lived, that he has changed, like God says we will all be changed.....Let the one without sin cast the first stone. Ask God to give you peace with this blog.....He will... I leave it in God's hands and lift Alice Cooper up to the Throne of God in prayer for strength and wisdom to live his life for God all the remaining days of life. |

Jerry -- I don't know much about, or care much about, Alice Cooper. In the 50's "Alice" would have been a girl. You have described this generation well...they know no shame. |
|
---Donna66 on 1/21/09 |
Sorry, I ment Baptist Minister. This is a very haughty generation like never before. The 50's was some-what clean after 2 world wars, but it did'nt last. The 60's turned to the love generation, open sex, drugs hippies with filty feet, then came AliCe cOoPEr to open up pandora'a box and gave what this generation wanted. Within 10 yrs gay bars were florishing and all abominations let loose, nothing is shocking anymore. Predators, child molesters gay priests, gay ministers, abortion, like never before has there been so many single parents or people who have married twice or more.
Porno's at your finger tips, the f word seen all over tv.
This generation is ripe for Judgement. |

I believe Alice Cooper is a curse to this generation, 1st rocker to go in the direction he took, sinse then many have followed that path, 1st to bring horror to music, 1st to be a abomination like never before seen, 1st in alot of things when it comes to uglyness, grossness. His father was a ordained Baptised Minister and AC's wifes father is also a Baptised Minister.
AliCe cO0pEr is the mirror of what this generation has become. |

I haven't heard that but I sure hope so. And yes we should pray for him. As all Christians know that our fleshy ways don't just go away when we get saved. It's a struggle to stay with Jesus. |
|

God can change anyone if they convert over to him with a strong will to be changed. If Alice Cooper did convert over to Christ then that is between him and the Lord. So many people judge people by the way they look. If God done that, then no body would get into heaven. And the saying Once Saved Always Saved is not in the bible anywhere. Just because a person gets saved umteen years ago, if they don't endure til the end with Christ, they won't make it to heaven. The backsliders once knew Christ but lost their first love. If they don't repent and make their way back to Christ, they will die lost and go to hell. |

Who cares...I am a Christian and that is what matters to me! |
|
---ron on 10/3/08 |
He is either a Christian believer or a make believer. There is no question of him becoming a former believer. Once Saved Always Saved. If he is a make believer, time will expose this fact. |
|
---frances008 on 10/3/08 |
Some of you are a bit self righteous. The Bible says once saved, always saved. Alice Cooper does a lot of charity work and has been a devout Christian for years. Some of his more recent albums like The Last Temptation and Brutal Planet have a Christian message. |

---Mike on 10/3/08 |
Remains a Christian? What must I do to be saved?
That being said, the ouija board thing is an urban legend, and his biting the heads off chickens is an urban legend. As for "21 and older", that may be the law where he's playing. (If you look at his tour schedule, most of his shows seem to be at state fairs and such as that.) |
|

His outcome IS as ours. Would HIS prayers help You/Me "STAY A Christian"? I Don't think so! I HOPE were ALL stronger than That.
Think about Pauls "Influence", Christians sent to prison & Killed.
Once God forgives a man, WHO is man to hold the Sins, AGAINST Him? Were not to Hold the Ignorance of Mans youth Against him. If anything WE should Praise God,his Net(Love) has pulled another person from the Darkest Depths. |
|
---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 5/5/08 |
I don't know how many will keep praying that Alice Cooper will remain a Christian. I do not believe we should make promises to pray, tell someone that we will, and then break our promises to do so. That's worse than not praying at all.
We all have to walk out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Fear, meaning being in awe of God, awesome wonder of God. There is no one else that can pull us through day by day but Jesus Christ and we all must rely on Him individually. He is the Mediator. |

As a "former" fan of Alice Cooper, all I can say is that "IF" he has become a christian, he certainly has a lot of negative influence to overcome. If it is true that he has been saved, then praise God. I know that God can certainly save anyone He chooses. By the way, when and on what show did you hear this interview? |
|
---tommy3007 on 5/5/08 |
If he was born again and leaves behind all that he was. |

I bought a book called Rock Stars On God. There was a bunch of rock stars in there, and there was Cooper. I read the whole thing, like 10 or more pages. After that, I have been a Huge fan. I listed to everything after and including Last Temption. Yes, pray for him. |

I have known one of Alice Copper's aunts for many years, and Pearl told me that Alice (Vince, as his family calls him) is in fact a Christian and has been one for many years. His father was an ordained minister and Vince was saved years ago. He is also a very good person and has been married to the same woman for 30 years. They have several children together. He raised his children in a Christian way. |

If you listen to his music since '94, you will hear that the music is definately a morality play. It may still rock hard, and you have to peel the onion to realize the true characters and message, it is obvious that Alice preaches his religion from his nonconventional pulpit. |

Greetings in Christ to all. I have read the interview for myself, and it is clear that Alice Cooper is in fact saved, and a Brother in the Lord. I was so blessed by the interview! and encouraged, there is nothing too hard for Our GOD! I think GOD is doing what HE said HE would do. Saving the lost. I praise HIM for this!! (Thank you DoryLory, for the information!!) Love to all, mary8387 |

I took the time to look up the interview, or one similar, and found out that this took place in October 2000. It didn't say when Alice Cooper supposedly made his decision, but, he did say that he could be a "christian" and still be a rocker. If he made a decision for Christ, and hasn't changed his show sufficiently to cause people to turn away from him because of that change, his conversion would be ineffectual at best. I would like to believe the report, but, Christ makes a difference lives. |

Steve - that is a supposed urban legend. In interviews, Alice Cooper has said the name came out of thin air. Alice Cooper (Vincent Furnier) had a grandfather who was a pastor & his father & his father-in-law were also pastors. He has a legacy of prayer behind him & God is using him in an industry that desperately needs Jesus. He feels his ministry is to be a warning that Satan is real, not a myth or a joke. Recently his good friend, Dave Mustane (of the band Megadeth) gave his heart to the Lord. |
|
---DoryLory on 12/4/05 |
, why is he still using a name he got from a ouija board? and why did a recent concert advertize "21 and older"? i have doubts about this man. |
|
---steve on 12/3/05 |
For some reason the first eight parts about Alice Cooper's testimony didn't get published. I think it's very interesting and inspiring so if you would like to read the rest of it, write me at Dory7973. |

Pt9 'ALICE COOPER' in huge letters, 'speaking about Christ' in small letters. And I'm sitting there going, 'That is blasphemy - the fact that my name is even bigger.' That tells me something right there that something's wrong. I'm a rock singer. I'm nothing more than that. I'm not a philosopher. We all have our ideas on what's going on in the world. I'm not a politician. I'm a rock singer. |
|
---DoryLory on 12/3/05 |
Pt10 "I can find clever little ways of saying it. I can sing, and I can act, and do all this -- things to make you laugh, smile, cringe, and do all those things, but that's all I am. This is my job. I always tell people, 'My job is rock and roll. My life is dedicated to follow Christ.'" |

---DoryLory on 12/3/05 |
WOW! Just shows the glory of God. It really makes me think about how we, as Christians, think that we know people and the mind of God. We hear that someone like Alice Cooper gets saved and we question as though ANYONE is out of His reach... Much like Jane Fonda. Word got out that she accepted Christ and publicly apologized for her former acts, yet there are still christians who refuse to forgive her. Thank You, Jesus, for dying for the least of us. |

>>>continued..."If you believe this is just mythology, then you're a prime target, because that's exactly what Satan wants- to be a myth. But he's not a myth, of this I'm totally convinced. More than anything else in the world, I'm convinced of that." |

Quote from 2002 interview with Lonn Friend, editor of on-line rock magazine "You couldn't believe in God without believing in the devil...When you believe in God, you've got to believe in the all-powerful God. He's not just God, he's the all-powerful God, & he has total control over everyone's life. The devil, on the other hand, is a real character who's trying his hardest to tear your life apart...continued>>>> |
