The Holy Spirit is manifested through us, the righteous of the Lord. He directs us into all truth and the things that he tells us to do, as God the Father directs him, brings glory to God and people see and say that it is the work or the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is also manifested through the fruits of the Spirit.

Why do people want to seek the sign? Rather seek God as He is and if He manifests, so be it, but don't seek the gift, seek the Giver!

God blesses you with His Holy Spirit once you repent and are Baptised as John did to Jesus immersion in water. After you are Baptised you are given more of the Holy Spirit when you begin to seek God more every day, pray, and study His Word

I am seeking answers as to an experience that happened to me over a year ago. An audible tap on the top of my head followed by a heatwave travelling from head to toe and my entire body went rigid for about a minute. Afterwards there was notable blistering under my arms, crotch area, and chest. Also had bloodshot eys and energy?

When you are saved, the Holy Spirit lives within you, but a manifestation of the Holy Spirit is different. When the Holy Spirit is allowed to work, then It does. That is why you can attend a church that is deader than dead. The Holy Spirit is no where around.

You must be born again! (John 3:3, 7-8, 16-21 -- 1 Pt. 1:23 -- John 14: 15-17, 26 -- John 15: 26-27 -- 2 Cor. 5:17-21)

I don't want to cause more problems, but The Holy Spirit will show up in a church service where there are sinners that need to be saved. The sinners see and feel the Holy Spirit working. If one is to be saved, The Holy Spirit works in them as conviction.

Since the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, He can and does manifest whenever He chooses in whatever way He chooses. Praying to have the Holy Spirit move on our or others behalf is certainly in line with the Word of God. The Spirit moves as God wills in whatever way He wills. You will know it when He chooses to manifest by answered prayer, by vision, etc. If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you will be given the ability to know when the Holy Spirit reveals His power.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is not law.
(I got that from the Fruit of the Spirit Quiz)

I was responding to Elder's comments to Leon on 12/5/05. I should have put his name on it.
---Bruce5656 on 12/5/05

Bruce, the word that may bother others is the word "it", not "the"
---shira on 12/5/05

"The" Holy Spirit is perfectly correct form.

Luke 11:13, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give THE Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"
Ephesians 4:30, "And grieve not THE holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption."

Whoa Emg, It was not me who asked the question. Your point is very good but I was explaining the same thing.

Leon no anger or disturbance involved. Shirley and her husband are sweet kind caring people that Love the Lord.
I answered like I did to clarify Shirley's position and to make sure that you and others did understand.
Thank you for your concern.

Shira: Sorry if I seemed to be offended. I certainly was not -- just trying to make a point.

If I ever say anything on this blog that doesn't square with Scripture, pleeeeze jerk my chain & correct me. :-) (Proverbs 27:17)

Elder read this:- Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: What is wrong with using the word THE?
---emg on 12/5/05

Elder: I was just asking Shira (aka Shirley) a question. Reason being on numerous occasions, in & out of church, I've heard well-meaning Christians refer to God, the Holy Spirit, as an "it". Obviously, He's not & I just wanted to encourage my sister in the Lord, & others, to properly address Him. I certainly didn't mean to get your hackles up. Peace! :-)

Thank you Bro. Elder. I love the Holy Spirit as The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit lives in me and I have seen The Holy Spirit manifest The Holy Spirit in many church services. Sorry If I offended you, Leon.
---shira on 12/5/05

Leon is a baby a person or an it?
Many people have said look how cute it is.
Shirley using "it" means no disrespect.
She knows as well as you do the Holy Spirit is a person. Actually it is not the Holy Spirit but it should be Holy Spirit.
Notice I didn't call you the Leon.
---Elder on 12/5/05

Shira: Is the Holy Spirit an It or a Person?
