Hal Lindsey Back On TBN

I emailed to TBN and received a reply. I was told that Hal Lindsey's tv program on TBN was "preempted" primarily for Dec to air Christmas programs & they anticipate Hal's program back on TBN after the holiday season. I pray this is the truth !

J:

Hal Lindsey is an evangelical Christian writer and evangelist. You can google his website. In 1970s, he wrote "The Late Great Planet Earth" dealing with apocalyptic Biblical prophecies, and relating them to current events. He later wrote others. "The Liberation of Planet Earth" was not about prophecy, but instead explained Jesus's plan of salvation. Unlike Harold Camping, Lindsey only made predictions about what he thought would happen, but did not dogmatically set dates.

You confuse him with L. Ron Hubbard, a science fiction writer who once said the best way to make money is to start your own religion - which he eventually did, when he created Scientology, a bizarre religion based on aliens. He died in 1986.
---StrongAxe on 1/19/12

Wasn't Hal Lindsey that scientology dude that died a few years back? He said aliens came from outer space and tried to start a new religion. John Travolta's religion. He wrote that rag called "The late great planet earth." That's some weird stuff. I can't possibly imagine anyone believing in that junk but sure enough, some people do. It goes to show you that seemingly intelligent people believe in fairytales. Wisdom of the world and all that stuff means nothing. Or is there another Hal Lindsey?

TBN is not without value, hir tonic products must be sold. It proves we have freedom of religion in America. I hope people pray for discernment. The popularity of TBN is easy to explain, its the Christianity of the common denominator. The scripture says God will not be mocked, those eccleastical video nuts should read that scripture and repent! The Antidogma has spoken!

Taylor,There are a lot of preacher try to predict when jesus is coming back It doesn'tmatter when he is coming back.We just need to be ready when he does
---Betty on 5/26/06

To taylor; one description could be pride, or self-importance, just common human fallacices. I believe Mr. Lindsey is a true believer botherd by pride. Does pride bother you Taylor? It eats me up and exposes my foolishness.
---mima on 1/26/06

I have read most of Hal Lindsey's books, such as The Late Great Planet Earth. He had so many predictions about when the world would end. Why would a true believer in Christ do that when the Bible plainly says no man will know the day or hour?

My cat, "Knothead" knows he runs the house! He sits at his bowl until the 'slaves' feed him. He goes to the door and looks over his shoulder and makes a slight meow when he wants out. He has his special places, some we have yet to discover when he doesn't want to be bothered. Its ok, he's loving and gentle and always stays close by me if I'm sick.
Did you hear about the cat that called 911 when his 'person' got sick? True story!
---NVBarbara on 1/12/06

Yeah, but "Anticatma" just sounds weird!
I would never hurt a cat or dog! Although I know Jeraldleen has put you in the doghouse a time or 2!
I think we have another 'ghost' on the blogs!
(Heard from Pharisee lately hmm?)
---NVBarbara on 1/11/06

Elder ... I can see why someone might called him/herself "antidogma". At the start I interpreted the name as meaning the writer was anti (against) dogma. And I can sympathise with that. There are sometimes (!) discussions here which are about abstruse items of doctrine (dogma) which to those involved are real items of salvation, or not. I imagine "antidogma" is trying to say "Look, folk, these details are not so important, so do not argue so dogmatically about them"
---alan8869_of_UK on 1/11/06

Elder.... HAAAAAA! I just happened upon this blog and saw your last post. Thank you! :o)
P.S. My cat often thinks to highly of himself... actually, he thinks he's purrrrrrfect.
---daphn8897 on 1/11/06

Barbara, you repeated, "The 'antidogma' has spoken," on 1/3/06.
What is an Anti Dog Ma?
Why would any self respecting Ma be Anti Dog?
What's a poor Dog done to upset this Ma? Maybe when Pa sobers up we can ask him. Ya think?
As we know some Cats think more highly of themselves than they ought.
---Elder on 1/11/06

Oh, not a Southern Baptist Herb, I guess that puts you in that "Bob Jones" crowd?
Flaky teaching, prejudiced against all other races and creeds. I grew up in the town where BJU is, of course that was after they were kicked out of another state for their hatred toward others, those of other colors or beliefs.
And you dare to criticize others? You're invisable as far as I'm concerned.
---NVBarbara on 1/11/06

Faults are one thing but false teaching is totally another.

Pt1 - Herb
Well, my favorite way to pray, is to pray the Word ... knowing that God's Word IS His Will.

Heavenly Father I lift Herb up before Your throne of grace and I ask You to bless Him. I ask You to bless his family, bless his ministry, bless his life in every which way, completely through and through.
---DoryLory on 1/8/06

Pt2
Father, may You give Herb the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that he may know You better. I pray also that the eyes of his heart may be enlightened in order that he may know the hope to which You have called him, and that he would know Your incomparably great power for us who believe. (Ephesians 1:17-19)
---DoryLory on 1/8/06

Pt3
I pray that Herb, being rooted and established in love, would have the power to grasp how wide and how long and how high and how deep is the love of Christ and that he would personally know and experience this love that surpasses knowledge in a new and fresh way, that he may be filled with the fullness of God, in Jesus' name. (Ephesisans 3:17-19) Amen.

The devil himself knows the bible and will use it to his advantage. He just mixes a little lie with the truth and it becomes a lie. Word of faith teach never pray in God's will but Jesus taught pray If thy (God's) done.
---Rev_Herb on 1/8/06

Herb, no one has ever said that the Word of Faith movement is without faults. There have admittedly been abuses ... no one's claiming perfection here. I'm not one to spend much time watching TV evangelists but in 20+ years, I've yet to hear a Faith person say there is any other way into heaven than John 3:16. I've never heard anything other than, you must be born again in Jesus' name.
---DoryLory on 1/7/06

It would be a good idea to put a cork in it herby.

Bob, Is it hate if I tell you that I found out that the doctor you decided to go to has been poisoning his patients? Is it love to let you go to him and not warn you about him. Does not the same apply about poison gospels? Should we then all agree that there many ways to get to heaven and yours is as good as mine and we can pray to any god we want to.

herb and Len. You guys are not credible because you always seem to be preaching the negative. A lot of what you say seems to stem from hate and falt finding. John and Barbara are exactly right. I avoid folks like you. Let's not be ministers of death but of life.
---Bob on 1/6/06

Lets see, Benny Hinn said Castro would be out of power by 1995, he said Gays in America would be destroyed by the end of the 90's, he said people would sit up their dead relitives to by their TV's to watch 'TBN" This is all on video, I ask, does credibility mean anything??? False teachers abound. Hal Lindsey said they dug a deep hole in Filand, lowered microphones and heard the sounds of hell. Is credibility an issue with these characters?
---len_k on 1/6/06

I have a vedio with Benny Hinn say that "God was a trinity Jesus is a trinity, and the Holy Ghost is a trinity. That makes nine" So if you want to dispute that, I suggest you see the vedio, The Great Apostasy The lost sign. After seeing this video, then tell me he didn't say it.
---Rev_Herb on 1/6/06

You are right John, I read the misconception that started all the uproar when he made a statement that was not understood.

WHY do we HAVE to talk about anything that we see as questionable anyway? If we spoke only truth and uplift each other in prayer, each of us would see when ANYTHING false came along. There sure would be less gossip and judgemental attitudes on these blogs!

Benny Hinn never said that there were 9 in the Trinity. I have heard him say there were three parts of the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This is how FALSE rumors start. He was talking about the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
---John on 1/5/06

I have nothing against Benny Hinn, I would like to make that clear, but I really would like to know what he has to say about the trinity. Thanks Rev. Herb, I'll try going through your address.
---bethie on 1/5/06

Sorry NVBarbara, I am not a Southern Baptist, I do not belong to that crowd. Yes there are Masons in the SB. They have gotten away from the the truth also. Even Jerry Fallwell, has had Benny Hinn speak and his school has produced a Christian Rock ban. There is nothing Christian about rock. I am an Independent, Fundamental Baptist.
---Rev_Herb on 1/5/06

Here we go again Herb, "Benny Hinn and the rest of 'his crowd.'" Should we all be so judgemental? How about if I mention "Herb and his crowd" of Southern Baptists who a full 50% are Masons? Just who wrote this thing you have ordered? Did you ever think that they may be a 'bit' bias? Give this a break, every blog you write mentions Hinn, are you jealous?

I have only heard Mr. Lindsey a few times. I like him. He has a good website too. Biggest thing I see is he is very pro-Israel, pro-Christian, and anti-muslim. He will call a duck a duck. Some ducks don't like that.
---mike on 1/4/06

This Hal Lindsey years ago said they found a a deep hole in finland, lowered microphones into it and recorded the sounds of screams (from hell) everyone involved in the project ran away. He 'testified' of this on that TBN. He may say interesting things, but discernment is callled for. False teachers abound.

Rev. Herb, I have found sites that say Benny Hinn says 9 in the trinity, but I can't find one that says why he says this or explains it. Do you know of one? betha4878.

The 'antidogma' has spoken, but does that mean anyone listens?
---NVBarbara on 1/3/06

Barbara, Your right, It was L Ron. I guess I got confused because of all the barking from you know who. Thanks.
Hey dog, "WOOF"! Watch out for the kitty cats!
---Bob on 1/3/06

TBN has to one of the most anti-christ stations on TV. They talk and preach God, but it is another god and another christ they preach. Benny Hinn for instances says there are nine in the trinity, not three. How un-bible can you get?

J, I think you have several people mixed into one! Hal Lindsey is alive, and he did write the "Late Great Planet Earth." However he is not, nor has ever been involved in Sciontology. Maybe you are thinking of L.Ron Hubbard who was a science fiction writer of poor grade who started that 'church',he is dead. Lindsey is a Christian, however I don't know of what persuasion.
