What "fact" Rickey?
---Leon on 12/28/07

Yes, they were angels as a matter of fact.
---Rickey on 10/27/07

The use of the term Giant in Gen 6:4 nephilim is only used twice again in Num 13:33. The term means a Bully or a violent Tyrant In Num 13:33 it is associated with the children of Anak. They were a Cushite tribe of the same race as the Palestines; The Giant Goliath was an off spring of that tribe.

See the Easton Bible Dictionary - Giants

God evidently had preserved Himself a Godly seed through Noah [Gen.6:8-14], in like manner as He did through Abraham after the tower of Babel. On & on it went til His "only begotten son" was born of a virgin [flesh & blood], as he first prophesied in Gen.3:14-15!

Gen.6:1-(4)-8: Fallen angels/demons embody people & creatures today like satan embodied the serpent in The Garden. The giants began somewhere. "After that" indicates a continuation].

Who/what was in Nod outside of Eden's Garden? [ As Adam ='s a noun, a plurallity, & a colour]. Adam/singular was 'placed in' the garden/Gen.2:8-15.

Echad/God needs "vessels" for His Holy Spirit too, battling the adversary "... 'til Shiloh comes". Some truth in most everything.

Read Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children unto them,-. Look at the order;the giants were already on earth before and at the time, sons came in unto daughters. It clearly shows giants were preexistant before the mating not a product of it. In Bible, angels neither marry nor are given in marriage. They didn't mate with angels. Both teachings about angels and giants are myths.

The first "big bully" who performed a most heinous act of violence (murder) is Cain.

Rickey: What "fact"?

Douglas: Did/do fallen angels (demons) have physical bodies enabling them to know women?

Eloy: "Offspring of Adam". I agree, specifically the children of one offspring in particular, i.e., Cain.

Havn't we been told on other threads that angels have no gender and do not reproduce? I do not believe for one second that these 'giants' were anything other than larger than average human beings - like Goliath.

Partial Citation from Easton's Bible Dictionary -- Son of God The plural, "sons of God," is used (Gen. 6:2, 4) to denote the pious descendants of Seth. In Job 1:6; 38:7 this name is applied to the angels. Hosea uses the phrase (1:10) to designate the gracious relation in which men stand to God.

Yes I believe they were the offspring of the fallen angels and women. Gen 6:4 seems to say as much
---douglas on 1/27/06

They were the offspring of Adam. "There were giants in the world in those days: for after that the sons of God had gone to the daughters of men, and had born to them, the same were the mightiest of the world and men well-known." Genesis 6:4.
