"What do you do when you know you are a prophet?"
The prophet does what they find best to do with what they know are Gods truths. In honesty, they do what they choose to do. Most prophets however, do their working in secrecy. For how would one react if they heard their friend was a profit? How would one react if they heard me say I had daily conversations with god himself? That he told me personally I was met to do great things? I can say there would be many to resent, question, and deny what I say.
---Katherine on 6/1/09

But the truth is we can all be prophets of Gods teachings. It is a matter of who listens, who seeks, and who asks God for his knowing. All profits know they are profits, because they say they are profits. Others know they are profits when they decide to know them as profits, the same with as when they decide the person is a fake. However one truth that stands for all prophets is they find themselves often giving advice. Many people are drawn to them for their wisdom and their understanding.
---Katherine on 6/1/09

We all have the ability to be prophets. All you must do is see the truth. As a whole we have not found it. We are all lost. Once you start to see the truth you have to work to unite us. We are all trapped and only the truth can set us free.
It has everything and nothing to do with Jesus.
---Aaron on 5/9/09

being a prophet doesn't include asking others for help on what to do as a prophet. a prophet doesn't know what to do in all reality. so why would people that have never meet or even been a prophet would know what to do? just follow your heart and soul. whether it is in religion, love, or just because
free your self and love everything
so don't be afraid
its all in the magic of life
---charlie_prophet on 3/2/09

What do you do? Keep in tune with God. Read his word and listen to his voice and the voice of the Holy Sprirt.
---Deno on 1/28/09

The 'Red Flag' goes up for me, when I hear people claim they are 'prophets' with special abilities. A lot of cult leaders claim to be prophets of the 'Almighty,' yet instead they are leading people astray with thoughts that comes from their weak feeble minds, instead of carefully examining and proclaiming the Word of God.
---Anne on 1/28/09

I don't know if you're truly a prophet or not. If you are, I would suggest that you spend a lot of time in prayer and reading the Bible and asking God to show you how to live your life to help others and to do so in all humbleness and not with an eye toward riches as so-called secular "prophets" often do.
---Laurie on 1/27/09

If you really are a prophet you wouldn't be asking people here what to do. You would trust the leading of the Holy Ghost.
Frank
---Frank on 1/27/09

If you know you're a prophet, then you better eat up the Word, and get used to fasting a lot! Prophets have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying! Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. You have to learn how to hear that still small voice. Don't be quick to run before you even know how to crawl, because you will fall flat on your face. If you are living in sin, then more than likely you're gonna be hearing Satan more than Jesus, so make sure that you're living a just life before you start trying to walk by faith. You need to stay in prayer, and surround yourself with strong men and women of God who will hold you accountable. Wait on the Lord to tell you when to declare His Word!

Cindy, revelations chapter 2 verse 9 says, Iknow thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, but thou art rich and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Not saying anything torwards you but, some people just dont know what its like to be Gods elect. God himself, has shown through revelations that it is blasphemy. P.S. sorry if I dont get to write back very quike, I use someone elses computer, I dont have one.
---joe on 1/10/09

I never said you were a jew and blasphemy is when you do or say something against God-not another human.
---cindy on 1/8/09

Cindy that is revelations chapter 11 verse 3. I already know that, but I am not a jew, and it is blasphemy to say that I am.
---joe on 1/7/09

joe--there will be 2 "real" (not false) prophets in the end times. So yes--Prophets are in the New testmanet age (as you put it) I will have to find the verse and get back to you asap.
---cindy on 1/7/09

God in simplisity. What is an apostle, and do we nee one? If it speaks of an apostle, why then do we need a old testament prophet, brought into a new testament age? A prophet was a mouth piece of God, An apostle was one sent forth, or one who Christ had manifest himself in.
---joe on 1/7/09

The question is: "What do you do when you know that you are a prophet?"

The answer: You are not a prophet.

It doesn't make sense that God would make you a prophet and leave you out in the dark and doesn't even tell you what you should do. God is not a senseless God who would commission people to do certain tasks and leave these people clueless as to what to do.

The fact that you don't know what to do implies that you are not a prophet.

Duane_Dudley_Martin: "You make the err..,
"They didn't know the season in which they lived(Israel becoming a Nation, man being able to track society, ect)"

You need to brush up on your history. The idea of bringing together the European nations germinated after World War One during the forming of The League of Nations and the signing of the Versailles Treaty. Somewhere in the mid 1920s a white paper called the Paneurope suggested to unify the European countries. The idea didn't really take off until after World War Two.

Your rumors of wars started way before Israel became a nation. Wars didn't start to really esculate until after WWI. As of the beginning of 2008 there were 179 conflicts in the world.

Tread very carefully. In the end times-many false prophets will say they are prophets. If you are wrong and start prophisying to people you could loose your soul. Pray and fast over it-maybe even go talk to your preacher. Just be careful what you do and say in case you are wrong.

Joe: I have absolutely no idea what you are taking about or refering to. I had my wife, who has her master's in english, read your blogs to help me understand what you were saying. She also said, she had no idea what you were saying.

Plus the fact that the first "prophecy" had been around since the 1920's. The second "prophecy" since the 1960's. And your last "prophecy" also since the 1920's.

You make the err they(1920)did,
"They didn't know the season in which they lived(Israel becoming a Nation, man being able to number & track society, ect)

In our day's Israel became the burdensome stone thats spoken of in the Bible, in our time The "Rumor" of Wars has started(1948/until now), in our time Russia & Persia(Iran)are in a alliance & the E.U/10 toes has risen.
That had to happen 1st, don't blind yourself because of the blindness of others in the 1920's.

Rod, you may want to read the one I left for Danelle. All men have a right to believe what they want. 1Corithians 14 also says that if a man see himself to be a prophet, let him acknowledge the things that I say for they are commandments of the Lord, verse 37. This man may be a prophet. I am not one to judge. But when he gets on here and starts calling my name, I will find out. Book of John chapter 8 verses 49-51 says I tell you I have not a devil, but I honour my father in heaven and ye dishonour me, for I seek not my own glory, I know there is one who seeketh and judgeth. Verily, verily, I say unto you, if a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
---Joe on 1/6/09

Danelle, the beast with seven heads " AND TEN HORNS". Watch what you deside to say. You never can tell who is watching. Dont worry I am a seventy times seven christian of Matthew 18 vrs. 21/22. What I mean by that is I can forgive you 490 times in 1 earthly day. I'll tell you this much, I did tell Rod, judge not lest ye be judged. But I know 1Corithians, says he who is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is never judged. But I also know that at this momment I'm not spiritual. It could be this easy though, "PAGAENISM", I am a prophet, shall mortal man be more just than God, can you say that I am not. "I'M REALLY NOT" a prophet. .
---joe on 1/6/09

A lot of people, Rod, will judge, persecute, belittle a man. Shall mortal man be more just than God, shall man be more pure than his maker? Matthew 7/1 says, judge not, lest ye be judged. Just, meaning correct in that verse, NO. Everyone knows that faith without works is dead. My favorite piece of scripture is, Job 32/21, neither let me give flattering titles unto man. Prophecy is a gift, 1Corinthians, chapter 12 says, but the manifestation of the Spirit is given "TO EVEY MAN" to prophit withal. Ephesians speaks of a fivefold ministery, but who am I but a mortal man. Just remember, prophecy is "A GIFT" not a calling. It says that knowwhere.
---Joe on 1/6/09

What do you mean by being a prophet? If you are foretelling the future, prove whether you are a true prophet, so we will know. I don't mean this harshly. If you're talking about prophecy in the New Testament usage, Romans 12:6 says, "if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith." I Corinthians 14:3 says, "But one who prophesies speaks to men for edificaion and exhortation and consolation." The person seems to have a perception of what truth (black and white)is in a given situation. If you speak the truth, some people will not like it. Be prepared to be rejected. What makes you think that you are a prophet? How do you "know?" Just wondering.

What do I do , when I know I'm a prophet. I realize that the word no longer comes to a prophet, because after ressurection there were apostles. Furthermore, Paul says in 1Corinthians 14vs 37 If a man see himself to be a prophet, to acknowledge the things that he says, for they are commandments of the Lord. A prophet should no longer bring revelation unless your a Jew, like in revelations chapter 11. It is also a posibility that Christ may do it himself, revelations chapter 12 speaks of a child to rule all nations with a rod of iron. P.S. it doesn't really matter, it's just the way I see it . Dwayne Dudly Martin you are no prophet, but Kudos to you for the information. The wall did come down, The European Union will soon dominate America, thier currency is worth more. Out of that ten headed Beast will arise the false prophet, who will cause many to receive his Mark.(the Mark of the Beast) which is not a litral tatoo, but a mind bending and deceptive man of evil who will get his power from satan, and if it were posible, deceive the very ELECT. The "mark" of the Beast is a deceptive false religious system implanted into the minds of many. Those not accepting the "mark"will suffer martydom.

I thoroughly agree with you.... ''we are not perfect'' BUT.......

God's word is.

If you are called you'll not sleep until you do what you were asked to do like Jonah if you are not called you'll sit and wonder whether it is God or satan.

If you have to ask then you could go to what spoke to you?...

whether it be of God or of devils?

You should know by now and there's no feed back so I guess it was the latter not the former.
---Carla5754 on 7/28/08

No, I do not claim to be a Prophetess. However I do have an unlimitd knowledge of the Word and as I have previous stated, I would never write about a topic I couldn't back up from personal experience, or the scriptures. There are topics I actually refrain from discussion because they would only become argumentative. Keep what you do know in your heart and meditate on it day and night.Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life Remember, as a man thinketh, so is he. And from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh!
---Danelle on 7/28/08

As I read I get the holier then thou feeling that there is more judgement then understanding. We all pretend to know God's wants and desires, however, there is only one place to find them. It is in your heart. Don't judge. If God speaks to you then great, if he doesn't you are not listening. Did Moses have to be a true prophet to recieve the word of God, NO he had to listen. He was a prophet because he heard. He was a mortal man just like you and I. Yet, he listened and heard what God was telling him. I use the Biblical reference because that is what we have as an example, I am not a biblical scholar, I do though try to listen to my heart, because it is the loud speaker to my soul that God talks through.

You can always start your own blog and let everyone judge your prophecies. You can give words, endless in nature that lead to nowhere. You might even find some that will follow you. If it's your own blog, you can delete all those who oppose you.
If you're not really a prophet, it doesn't matter how much you write, there won't be anything prophetic about it. Fountains of useless information.
---Miriam_Franklin on 6/2/08

Being a critic of ministries does not make one a prophet... being critical of all prophets, but calling yourself a prophet...what a laugh.
---Miriam_Franklin on 6/2/08

The way others will know if one is a true prophet of God is by their fruits according to the bible. There are gifts of the Spirit found in ICor. 12. Including the gift of prophecy. If you are annointed of God to work in the gift of prophecy and if truly of God, simply put the prophecies will come to past. For God is truth. But satan works the same, but likes to lie to bring about wrong things. You are only a true prophet of God, if his holy spirit is in you and he has gifted you for this work.

One other word about the propheticwe are HUMAN, sometimes when we get a word it can be wrongor sometimes we dont fully unpack the word and get the wrong gist of what God is trying to say. We are NOT PERFECTto label someone as a false prophet is critical and not for us to judge

We are not perfect, prophets are human. I dont want to argue with you, the prophets of today are not the prophets of the OTDont put God in a boxyes we need to listen to the BIBLE it is our source of truthbut we need to understand that sometimes we dont fully understand the God who speaks in parableswe sometimes misinterpret what he is trying to say

First,go to the Bible and look up all the Prophets, write a list of the miracles that God did through them. In so doing you will find the Prophets did a lot more than just speak out prophesies about the future. If all you have done is given prophesies then you aren't a Prophet. Besides God speaks one to one to His Prophets, does He do that for you? Does everything you say line up with the written Word of God? It must. Do you speak to the whole church or indiviuals? Let others call you prophet not yourself.
---Darlene_1 on 5/2/08

GENUINE humility is the requirement and maintenance of wisdom. If you were a "prophet", you wouldn't even know it, let alone want to think of yourself as one (acknowledging it would offend your humility).

Christianity has always had the "strong delusion" because people wanted to think more of themselves than they should (Romans 12:3). Do you choose your wisdom to be found in the parables (Mark 4:11)?. You're having a personal relationship with yourself and glorifying SELF.
---greg on 5/2/08

The purpose of life is to learn, and to love. We all contain within us a very real spark, and that spark is part of the eternal spark that is God. Like flame, each part is just like another, with parts coming and going, but there is always one main part that sustains all others.

"The problem with people with narcissistic personality is that they actually do have extremely low self-esteem. In trying to have the world revolve around them, they are trying to compensate for their low sense of self-worth.

Problem is, they do not have a healthy view of self, in the light of who they are in Christ, because of the schema in their thinking, which is the result of events in their childhoods.

I think we're hearing from prophets that suffer with this and other disorders we're unaware of.

"#2. Narcisstic Personality Disorder includes:
"1. has a grandiose sense of self-importance.
2. is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.
3. believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people.

8. is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him/her.
9. shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes."

In order to be diagnosed with this, a person would have five of these.
---Madison on 1/26/06

#3
4. requires excessive admiration
5. has a sense of entitlement.
6. is interpersonally exploitive.
7. lacks empathy: is unwilling to recongnize or identify with feelings and needs of others.

Catherine, were you rejected as a child or an adult by anyone or by the church? There is healing for you in Christ. He came to set the captives free. He has accepted you in the Beloved and has withheld no good thing from you. Father God does not love or not love us because of other people. He loves us and the others. Brenda: you need help, its Christ's church, His Gospel, we are His Servants, the 'pope' promotes 'not taking the bible literally' - so do you take any of the 10 Commandments 'literally'? Or just when it suits you. The pope is NOT the Vicar of Christ, he is a man, a sinner, saved by grace. Vicar in the Greek means vicarious, which translated in English is 'substitute'...the 'pope', so the pope is a substitute for an OMINITISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT God? Um, NO!
