Well, God uses people to talk to us, because God is not conceited. He is willing to include us in His work and caring. And He may speak "louder than words", by His *actions* > this includes how "God resists the proud" (James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5) > when God knows I am going the wrong way, He can arrange for "things" to mess with me, and then I get nasty and negative and maybe unforgiving and critical of others . . . as proof I'm not being sensitive and submissive to You in Your love and leading. So, You resisting me is caring, so I don't keep going where Satan wants to take me. So, God is always communicating, somehow, with each of us (o:

WOW OH WOW

trash in literature? what literature?

funny thing Lee - hold on to your keypad - I don't know what SDA beliefs are, nor have I read ANY of their literature, but here is what I am certain of - I don't condemn them although I WOULD challenge if beliefs were different by USING Gods Holy Word

difference between you and I ...I USE Gods Word when I make a point and it is GOD SPEAKING FROM HIS WORD

you use your own reasoning and opinions that are filled with much HATRED

..your condemning poisonous post with your OWN WORDS is proof

God ONLY speaks through his WORD

ARE YOU SAVED? If you are He talks. If you are not He won't!
---catherine on 8/31/09

Warwick: I think you are on to something with the observation that Lee has "much unforgiven sin to be guilty about." The subject of this blog is "Why doesn't God talk to me," yet Lee seems fixated on the Sabbath Day and his hatred of SDAs. Perhaps he read the scripture:

Psa 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

Nah, that couldn't be it. He writes his own scripture.
---jerry6593 on 8/31/09

Lee the point I am making is that God gave 10 Commandments. I am aware they are of the OC but I thank you for that.

Secondly we are not saved by observing the Commandments and I don't believe anyone ever was.

Nonetheless there are 10 Commandments and you agree we cannot disobey 9 of them. Therefore on what basis can we disobey the Sabbath Commandment.

I note Jesus was in the habit of keeping the Sabbath. And said 'If you want to enter life, obey the commandments'-Matt. 19:17.

You wrote '..you will not find a single verse in the New Testament that commands or even suggests Sabbath observance', but the above does, doesn't it?

I think it a puzzle!
---Warwick on 8/31/09

//The Sabbath commandment is one of ten and you agree we cannot disobey the 10 commandments. Therefore why can we disobey the Sabbath Commandment?

The simple fact is that the 10 commandments is the old covenant.

De. 4:13 And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments, and he wrote them on two tablets of stone.

But Hebrews 8:13 states that the old covenant waxeth old and became obsolete.

And you will not find a single verse in the New Testament that commands or even suggests Sabbath observance.

All you have is Romans 14:5 which states one may esteem all days as being alike.
---lee on 8/30/09

Lee how ironic that you of all people condemn others beliefs, as 'foolish' and 'trash.'

When you point your finger at others three are pointing back at you.

You reinterpret Scripture away from all recognition, undermining the gospel, then have the arrogance to crticize others!

The Sabbath commandment is one of ten and you agree we cannot disobey the 10 commandments. Therefore why can we disobey the Sabbath Commandment? I twice asked you this but as usual you failed to give an answer. I do not observe the Sabbath but wonder about it. Maybe the SDA's make you feel guilty?

You have much unforgiven sin to be guilty about don't you!
---Warwick on 8/30/09

Rhonda - who me, judging the SDA?

Not really only their foolish beliefs.

Tell me if you truly believe Christians are liars if they claim to love Jesus but do not observe the Jewish sabbath?

Tell me if there are restrictions on what we may or may not eat, after Christ said what goes into the heart defiles one, not what goes into the stomach.

Tell me if those who God has called into the ministry are Satan's agents for not preaching the OT Sababth?

Tell me if Christ entered into the heavenly sanctuary in 1847, an invisible event not heralded by anything the church can identify with. - much the same as the Jehovah's Witnesses claim that Christ came invisibly in 1914.

All that trash is in your literature!
---lee on 8/30/09

MarkV then why are you not on SDA blogs supporting the SDA when Lee is JUDGING THEM? ...it is a curious thing how it only works ONE WAY and somehow it is blinded from both you and Lee ...although I READ Lee's post and he appears doubleminded on his "judging"
---Rhonda on 8/30/09

MarkV: "Steven G, you are not listening to what Lee said,.."

That is absolutely true. I'm not listening to what he says, I am reading what he says and I understand him completely.

Christians can often see an error of another, however prayer comes first. People have different life's experiences including hurts that we may not know. We must be ever sensitive to the Holy Spirit's direction. The Lord could very well be at work in another's life and is gently bringing forth changes. Church goers can be dogmatic. Jesus is not so. He's compassionate without compromise. God is much more patient than we. His compassion differs from our self righteous reactions and "batting practice" with scripture. Remember, Jesus prayed to the Father during His suffering and torture "Forgive them for they do not know what their doing"...its something to reflect on.
---Robert on 8/29/09

I am so disappointed no one has came to this conclusion.

Ps 66:18 "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear".

Plain and simple. If you have sin in your life, unconfessed sin, the Lord will not hear your prayer and will not answer.
---Mark_Eaton on 8/28/09

Steven G, you are not listening to what Lee said, He was not speaking about judging righteoussly, but unrighteoussly. You gave Scriptures on righteous judgment. The complete opposite of what he is talking about. Especially when the brother is already bought by the blood of Christ. If you had read Romans chapter 14 you would have known that is what he was speaking about. And that chapter is speaking about how it is wrong for one brother to wrongly judge another brother "One person esteem one day above another, another esteems everyday alike" he goes on to say, "For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live we live to the Lord" do not let your good be spoken as evil.
---MarkV. on 8/28/09

lee: "Rhonda - Romans 14:4 Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another?

In slamming other Christians you really need to do your confession as you are not their master."

Lee, you surely don't know scripture as it does say that christians are to judge - righteously. Simon rightly judged Luke 7:43. Even Paul has admitted he has judged, 1 Corinthians 7:25.

Read and study how to judge righteously:
Luke 12:57
John 5:30
John 8:15,16
1 Corinthians 2:15
1 Corinthians 5:3-14
1 Corinthians 6:2-6
1 Corinthians 7:40
1 Corinthians 11
Philippians 1:9
2 Thessalonians 1:5
1 Peter 2:23

Lee you seem to want to drive home a point that isn't there which doesn't surprise me ...although it appears double minded ...you DO SLAM ...as you do with the SDA believers ...and yet others can't "pick on poor Lee" and HIS beliefs

a curious thing indeed ...although EVADING is something many self professing christians do ...if confronted with Gods Truth they will change subject and choose other topics and agenda's to move away from the Truth they don't want to hear ...which VERSE did you believe personally SLAMMED you as I quoted MANY on this topic FROM Gods Holy Word
---Rhonda on 8/27/09

Rhonda - Romans 14:4 Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

If you are a blood bought believer, God has doubless spoken to you whether you realized it ir not. You may have thought it was an idea that just occured to you, but you knew
it had something to do with God.

The more you study His written Word and spend time talking to Him, the more likely you are to know His voice when you hear it.
(and distinguish it from the voice of the devil). God most often doesn't speak in audible voive (tho he can) It's usually a "still small voice".

Sometimes you have to be quiet and wait to hear him. Tell Him that when He speaks, you will put HIS will for you above anything else... and prepare your heart to do so.
---Donna66 on 8/25/09

Leslie -//God talks to EVERYONE, the question is are you listening? God gave us one mouth, and two ears - that means we must listen more than talk.

Sometimes, as we can surmise on this forum, there are those too much attuned to the voice of their denomination (man) rather than that of the Lord.

I find that those who truly listen find many of the answers while in prayer.

Was Paul the Apostles who was also a Jesus lover a lawless person?

1 Cor. 9:21 To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law.

Anyone can "say" they are christians, but have nothing to show for it. This accouts for more than two thirds of the christians. For faith without works is dead faith. Setting an example of a chrisitns faith is the most powerful way to prove christians are God's people. Today's end-time world is full of christians who are only hearers of the Word, not doers. Do a KJV bible search for "one another," "each other," and encourag" becasue living a christian life is a 24/7 lifestyle - not a once a week pep talk dished out by denominational "churches." Prove that you are a christian by acting like one. Even your children will praise you.

This is funny too!
God talk to everyone all the time!
Just because you dont hear him, doesnt mean he's not working in you!

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Come on! You know he love you!
Isn't it good to know he love you first!

//are you producing fruit in your life?

Like the young man in Matthew 19:20f who questioned Christ what must he do to have eternal life and stated he obeyed all the commandments Christ spoke about, did not follow Christ.

Such is the problem with those who try to be righteous by obedience to the law but really do not have a relationship with our risen Lord.

There are highly ethical religions but there do not preach the gospel message that all who would truly believe in Christ (John 3:16) will be saved by grace thru faith and not of themselves. Eph. 2:8-10

are you producing fruit in your life? as it shows in john 15... We are part of the true vine and those who do his commandments... If we love him we'll do as he ask... You know what vine you are from from the fruit you produce... you should be asking? Am i producing the fruits of the spirit? Love, Joy, Peace, Long Suffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance? If these fruits are becoming apparent in your life you are part of the vine... Just remember let us ask to bring fruit of the true vine and not of another... Things of the flesh... If you said yes to any of these fruits... God is talking to you and you are of the fold.. If you really WANTED to hear God's voice in your conscience, you would.

The problem is that you (just like everyone has been taught) would rather hear from pastors, ministers, priests, churchgoers, and what the bible says.

Jesus says...
"MY sheep" (not the sheep of the apostate church) "hear MY voice" (John 10:27) and do not "climb in another way" (John 10:1).

Forsake mammon and learn the "DEPTHS of God" (1 Corinthians 2:10) with a "faith for faith" (Romans 1:17).

Have a righteousness of your own ("good and right and true, Ephesians 5:8) and let YOUR SPIRIT be compatible with God's spirit (Romans 8:16).

Verses are from the RSV.

God talked to me. He spent almost 3 years telling me about his biggest issues. God talked about Birth. He told me about Birth in the meaning of First is Last and Last is First.

God said this:
"In the morning I go to Heaven. In the afternoon I live my life. In the evening I die, death."

In order to understand this message realize that Birth is Last. Last now becomes First. Birth is First. Putting it all together Gods message means.
"Birth is Last and Birth is First". In that order.

Note that Morning, Afternoon, and Evening is 1 day. God is also saying that your life is 1 day long. In the beginning of the day you are born in Heaven.

"Why doesn't God talk to me?" He does.

The voice of our Father is the voice of our conscience. That still small, whispering voice within. In discerning His voice, consider this. Some hear God's "voice", many get a strong feeling of presence. Many times as I pray there is a sign God is there, a strong feeling positive or negative as answer to something I needed. I've been alone to pray near a tree & the wind will whirl only in that tree for minutes at a time. We get signs of Him when He wants us to, not when we demand it. There are confirmations no one would know I prayed about yet people have given me the answer saying they didn't know why they needed to say it.

You're failure to receive word from God in other ways, gumption, word of knowledge and impressions on the mind(feelings), may be due to the fact that you're not spending quiet time with the Lord to listen.

God doesn't just talk, He communicates. God uses His creation (Ps. 97:6) He uses thoughts, feelings, other people, circumstances, and of course His Word. You need to be atuned to Him, seeking Him and obeying Him and you will hear Him.

Before I became a saved person through the blood of Christ, the Bible was just another Book. I didn't know how to read the Book. I would skim over the words and nothing would make sense to me. Once the Lord Jesus became my personal saviour, the Bible has become his way of communicating to me. In Psalm 1, it says to meditate upon His word. I now know what those words mean. Pray that the Lord will open your eyes so that you may understand His Word.

This is almost impossible to answer. Because we really don't know the answer. One thing I can say is that God speaks to us through his word. Sometimes Satan blocks God's answer so we're not able to hear. Sometimes we don't listen. Read his word, he will give you a word when you need it.

Have you accepted Jesus as you Lord and Savior? Do you believe He died on the cross for your sins and rose on the third day? If you have done the above and believe this to be true, are you out of fellowship? If you're not out of fellowship with the Lord, maybe he is telling you to wait. God will give you one of three answers, yes, no, or wait. Stay still and listen.
