Extra Skin Hangs Over

Do men really see heavy set women as not a proper wife, mother, lover, or partner for life? Just because some extra skin hangs does not mean that they are incapible of doing what most women do for a man.

My washing machine is playing up recently. After my shirts have been washed, the necks have shrunk. There is also a wizard in my wardrobe (Americans call it closet?) and the are gradually shrinking the waistband of my trousers, and the size of my jackets.

Not all men. Just some of the ones under 35 yrs. of age. After that, men start getting some extra skin on our heads, because gravity takes it toll on our belly's from the "missing rib" we should have. And our horizons expand so greatly, they named a tire after it: Dunlope (as in done loped over the belt).

A Catholic, thank you ,it pleases me that you can see how love does cover many faults in many ways. I do believe a person should think about their health first, but sometimes it isn't possible to do anything about it due to disabilities. Dieting without exercise does little good. Then it is sweet to know love won't leave because overweight has arrived. Beauty is truely in the eye of the beholder.

A beautiful reply indeed, Darlene and I share your thoughts and comments.

On the other hand, it's also good for a woman to keep in shape not only to please her husbands but also for health reason.

A man "sees" a woman he just meets differently than one he has been married to a long time. Psychological Testing done on couples married for years, about 20 up, showed the husband still saw the beautiful girl he married. He didn't notice the aging process like outsiders because he was looking through the eyes of love. Some men do put too much importance on being thin, but most just love their wives, see her good qualities, and don't mind the extra weight having babies, and the years have added.

I've heard that a man starts to sag because of the missing rib....what do you think? 8>)

Both men and women have been so brainwashed with the bombbardment of the media with all these "BEAUTIFUL, HUNKY, PERFECTLY SCULPTURED MODELS, ACTORS", that we unconsiously think that our partners or mates has to have that "perfect" image for us to be happy. What's the expression I'm looking for? Oh... a "TROPHY" (even a trophy tarnishes over time!)
