Satan is not any of our concern. It is not for us to tell God, what he should or should not do concerning Satan. Jude 1:9 God is just. Revelation 15:3 Proverbs3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not onto your own understanding. People need to repent and believe in Jesus as their saviour. People need the Lord, that is our concern.

He is not sorry for his devlishness! He likes to do evil and to tell lies. That has become his bag. He is proud of it and it is that pride that did hiom in! P.

Satan is the epitome of pride, arrogance. Pride and arrogance leads to jealousy which ultimately leads to rebellion. His rebellion was to cause as many of GOD's children to deviate from his straight path as possible in order to usurp HIS throne. Satan's pride and nature prevents him from submitting and asking for forgiveness. For this, GOD had condemned him.

By the way, Satan is exceedingly wise. He knows GOD's words as well as GOD Himself. He chose to do wrong just like we are given that choice to do right or wrong.

When you look at spiritual laws, you can understand why it was necessary for Jesus to die for us in order for God to erase our sins as non-jews. Jesus didn't die for Satan. No Satan is ALREADY comdemned. It's not like he's repentant anyway.

Because Satan never asked. Just like Judas didn't ask to be forgiven. Luke 17:3. Is a good example. Satan never repented.

A pardon has been issued by Jesus Christ for all who would accept the conditions of it. Surely Satan is included in the offer. He just doesn't want a pardon, he wants to be God. That's scripture.

Dorlory, I meant we don't need to be concerned with why God does not forgive Satan. God is all knowing and all wise. God knows what he is doing. The angels that fell along with Satan, don't get a second chance.

I agree M.P. When Jesus returns, He is going to eliminate EVERY ASPECT of evil. It will no longer exist in anyone or anything. That's the purpose of the NEW HEAVEN & EARTH. To totally enilate the pure nature of evil. regardless if it's in man or Satan and his demons. IT WILL BE NO MORE!!!

I believe the answer to your question is, yes, God can(or could) forgive Satan, and the angels that joined him in his rebellion. God chose, for reasons that He doesn't have any obligation to share with any of us, not to even consider an option of salvation for the angels. Who are we to question God's motive or purity of intent? He is completely sovereign and has no need to answer any of our questions.

Moderator - Satan in the angels are in rebellion; there is nothing to forgive. Rebellion will not enter heaven.

The book of Revelation is exactly that - a revelation, of things to come. It is there that we read that the Devil and all his angels are cast into the lake of fire. If there were a possibility of him being forgiven why would we be able to read of what his end will be? The bible doesn't give us a choice of 2 different endings.

Christ died for mankind, created in the image of God. No other created being is created that way, nor are any worthy of accepting the Atonement made for humanity, alone.

Therefore with angels, it is once fallen, always fallen.

One important part of the Atonement seldom brought out is that the blood of Christ cleanses the sin-marred image of God in mankind.

1. Forgiveness is one of the benefits of the death of Christ on the Cross, which is available to those who believe in Christ.
2. He does not have a part in the redemptive work of Grace, which is meant for Adam and his fallen brethren, and not for angels, whether faithful or fallen, I Peter 1:12B.
3. He has not repented and never will.
4. Although God is forgiving, He is also righteous in judgement; and finally
5. He has already been judged at the cross of calvary, John 16:11.

Because Satan has narcissistic pride, and he refuses to repent; and there is absolutely no forgiveness to any one who refuses to get right with the Lord.

Actually, Ulrika, the Bible does tell us that we need to concern ourselves with Satan ... at least to some extent. We need to know about Satan and how he works so that we won't be outwitted by him (2 Corinthians 2:11).

Alyssa, I once heard a preacher say that Satan and sin are virtually synonymous. If you think about Satan in this way, it may help you understand why he wouldn't ask for forgiveness. He IS sin.
---DoryLory on 3/8/06

Satan sealed his fate when he rebelled in pride against Holy God. Satan is past the point of no return. He would not return if he could. He seeks to be God.
When you use the word "if" it sounds like you may not think that God is so forgiving. I hope that is not the case.
