Is Wormwood Chernoybl
Depending on the Bible you read, wormwood or hemlock is used interchangeably. Amos6:11-12KJV/RSV, Deuteronomy 29:17-18 KJV, Proverbs5:3-5KJV, Jeremiah9:13-16KJV. Of course, Revelation tells you what the name of the STAR is: Revelation8:10-11KJV. Even the word "hemlock" and "wormwood" are sometimes the same Hebrew word. References to wormwood in KJV are almost always metaphorical.

I agree with Jack's assessment here. While I'm totally ignorant of the Russian language I have heard references like this made. And culd bring us dangerously close to what the Bible says about wormwood.

The wormwood in the Bible refers to the poisonous Hemlock.

"Chernobyl" is the Russian word for "wormwood."
And what is a star but a large nuclear reaction?
I'm not saying the Chernobyl incident is the Apocalyptic star, but we have to admit it is too close for comfort!

On 20th anniversary of Chernoybl, I listened to a radio program. This man believes that chernoybl was the third trumpet. He explained how the radiation was spread throughout Europe, it rained filling their streams and rivers. Twenty years later, the concrete poured over the site is cracking. Asking for international help is containing this monster.

I do not speak Russian so I don't know.
What I do know is that Chernoybl is not the Wormwood spoke of in the book of the Revelation.
