--Miche3754:

Miche, YES!!! God sowed all these things in the earth in the beginning, so that His Harvest could reign in, do to Christ dieing on the Cross.

.....Also ponder this and Understand that that which God sowest is not quickened, except it Die(1Cor.15:36) and if we be Dead with Christ, we Believe that we shall also Live with Him......Dead indeed unto sin, but Alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord : Letting not sin therefore reign in our mortal body(Rom.6:8,11-12) and this is why the Heart of a True Child of God is Vigilantly Watchful in Prayer against Temptation because our Hopes of Faith are rooted in the Truth that the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak Matt.26:40.

Stay Vigilant & God Bless

Will you help me with that one, Jesus! God can strsighten out the rotten stuff in life. And He can also cause the good stuff to go rotten! I do not think I could have come up with this one on my own. No way!

Before Abraham was, I AM. I AM, is the name of God, Ex 3:14, it speaks his self-existence, he is the First and the Last. Re 1:8. He was not only before Abraham, but before all worlds, Pr 8:23, Joh 1:1. As Mediator, he was the appointed Messiah, long before Abraham, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, Re 13:8. The Lord Jesus was made of God Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification, and Redemption, to Adam, and Abel, and all that lived and died by faith in him, before Abraham. The Jews were about to stone Jesus for blasphemy. As heirs of Abraham's faith, we shall rejoice in looking forward to that day as well, when Jesus shall appear in glory, and to complete the salvation of all who believe in him.

2 Timothy 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Abraham walked in the works OF GOD from before the foundation of the world.

James 2:23
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

James DOES NOT SAY And after the scriptures were fulfilled God imputed righteousness to Abraham.

Your need to always disagree led you to state that "Abraham did not believe Jesus came in the flesh.---kathr4453 on 4/16/09"

Abraham's came into Faith without scriptures long before the day of Christ coming in the flesh But ABRAHAM DID BELIEVE JESUS CAME IN THE FLESH because Jesus said ABRAHAM SAW IT in John8:56 "father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it"

.....as in my first post "Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God and it's how Abraham knew the Spirit of God & came into Faith without seeing scriptures---Shawn_M.T. on 4/15/09

FYI~ US the Children of God by Faith are taught & guides into all Truths by His Spirit of Truth :John16:13.

**It's by Faith that Our Father Abraham Believed/Rejoiced to see The Day of Our Lord Christ Jesus: and <<<<< HE SAW IT >>>>> and WAS GLAD!!!!***

Abraham's FAITH was long before this moment.

Abraham was already SAVED at this point!!!

Hebrews 11,

First Abraham was CALLED

Then Abraham was TESTED, when asked to offer Isaac....His faith tested was in a promise previously made when Abraham was first called, and promised a son.

Because of this Promise of Isaac, and all the Promises attached to Isaac, gave Abraham Great faith to believe God was able to raise him...Isaac, from the dead. The second part is James..the TESTING of our faith. One must have faith FIRST to be tested of that faith!!!

***Sister, Your Reasoning & Logic, is understandable in this matter but the Spirit of Truth(Christ) appears unto us only by Faith, not through reasoning & logic. ****

Who is the US here? Those already Saved?

You say the Spirit of Truth appears to us only by Faith?

By Faith we believe....scripture teaches.

I'm not calvinism...so no we are not saved by Faith through grace!!!
---kathr4453 on 4/20/09

Shawn,
Wasn't grace with us from the beginning?
Wasn't faith in God with us from the beginning?

Christ was there when Adam and Eve were created.
And wasn't he there when Abraham professed faith in God for the fulfillment of the coming of Christ?

Just pondering on these and would be grateful if you answered.

The Light of this Truth of Abraham clearly shines in scriptures BUT like the darkness, you comprehend it not :John 1:5.

NVSteve:

You are right that Delta is the fourth letter in the Greek alphabet. However, river deltas are so named, not because they constantly change. Rather, it's because a river delta is triangular in shape, similar to the shape of the Greek capital letter Delta.

The use of the letter Delta to indicate change is a fairly recent mathematical convention invented for use with Calculus, and only several centuries old.

****Kathr, Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God and it's how Abraham knew the Spirit of God & came into Faith without seeing scriptures.Shawn M.T.***

Wrong!

Genesis 12:7

Genesis 17:1
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said ...

Genesis 18:1
And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre:

***"The man who sees God in all things has no need of scriptures".....***

Shawn M.T. These are your words. Now are these in contradiction of your last post? It would appear that way to me.

Many, as does the Quakers, believe you need no scriptures to be in touch with God. They just sit and wait and quake...as they get these revelations....following their inner-light! A most dangerous thing! Goeoge Fox also denied the Deity of Christ...a little tid-bit some may not know!!!

So, be careful what you say and how you say it!

If the statement in the blog is a true statement, which it probably isn't, it means that everything is in flux. God bless.

--Kathr:

Kathr, Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God and it's how Abraham knew the Spirit of God & came into Faith without seeing scriptures.

I've already shared that 'God is the Word' and that Word is the Truth but it's very clear Kathr that you disagree just for disagreement sake, and not for Christ sake......But I Hope & Pray that 1John4:1-2 Help you to rightly comprehend the Light of God's Spirit :FOR there are many things that Jesus said & did that aren't in the scripture, John 21:25.

FYI~We're Told to 'Try the spirits' whether they are of God.....Hereby we know the Spirit of God: "Every spirit That Confesseth That Jesus Christ Is Come In The Flesh Is Of God".

***Here is the puzzle. "A straight line tends to become crooked and a crooked line tends to become straight." Please help solve this puzzle.***

It could also mean..
WOE to those who call evil good and good evil.

The word TEND here in these thoughts cannot mean Jesus. Jesus tends to become streight???

Jesus doesn't tend to become anything.

Jesus, is, was and will always be.

That what I've concluded by using scripture as my Light!!!

In diligently endeavoring to see the Light of God in this puzzle, you'll realize that "The man who sees God in all things has no need of scriptures"..... Since God is the Word and in Him is Life which is the Light of men :Shining in the darkness but the darkness Comprehended it not......John 1:1,3,5

Wow Shawn M.T. The man who sees God in all things has no need of scripture????? Is that a Calvin thing....

I totally disagree here, as we are TOLD to test the spirits,( Through the scriptures...His WORD) as there are many false angels of LIGHT floating around!!!!

God's Word EXPOSES lies and false light, and teh Holy Spirit illuminates teh Word...Scripture and will reveal the truth.

"A straight line tends to become crooked and a crooked line tends to become straight."

This puzzle isn't a puzzle BUT a verse from scriptures~Rom.5:19 :

: As by one man's disobedience many were made sinners(A Straight Line becoming crooked),so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous(A crooked line becoming Straight)!!!

Mima:
Many of your blog questions tend to be of little value. The important subjects are buried in and amongst a load of powder puffs, marshmallow, and dross as it is. Ephesians 4:29, 5:4, Colossians 4:6 (foolish talk and jesting), 1Timothy 1:4, 4:7, Titus 1:14.

God straightens the path for the Godly: Psalms 5:8, 16:11, 23:3, 25:4, 27:11, Proverbs 2:8, 20, 3:6, 4:11, 18, Isaiah 2:3, 26:7, Matthew 7:13-14 (salvation).
The ungodly: Job 8:13, Psalms 125:5, 146:9, Proverbs 2:15, 19, Isaiah 59:8.

Blessings to all, a straight line tends to become crooked when you are trying to live your life without God,(before Conversion), a crooked line tends to become straight when you recieve Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior (after Conversion), because you are not living your way, but you are yielding to the Lord and letting Him guide your steps. (broad and wide road , or straight and narrow path). God Bless friends!

The answer to this puzzle varies.(I'm now attempting to dodge the questions) It could be" no stability" but more definitively it refers to change. The only thing that is permanent is change itsself. But praise the Lord He is unchangeable. Glory hallelujah to His name, thank you Jesus!!! (I used to be a Mississippi rear boat pilot, and the puzzle refers to the changing river as NESteve says)

Are we going to get the actual awnser????
---Alexandra on 4/12/06

I think it means that if we raise our children to follow God they may take a different road (crooked) but eventually they will return to the straight road that leads them to God.

I think it is referring to our daily Christian walk. Sometimes we tend to lead away from our one main focus. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. That part of the line it crooked. Then when we are walking straight in our Christian paths we have a straight line. I believe that when we start to walk out of line God takes his hand and gently guides us back into our right path by giving us certain situations.
