How To Grow Your Church
David- Why does it always have to be a denominational contest?!
To see who has more followers. more followers more tithe.
In US, it is a common sight to see 2 or 3 mega churches in the same area overlooking each other. Or 3 or 4 houses churches along the same road.

John: Pssst....Protestants are Christians. It doesn't really matter. Denominations/groups/whatever won't get us into heaven. Our faith in Jesus Christ will.
Why can't we just do away with the labels, denominations and titles. None of this is going to matter in the end. Let's get on with the business of winning souls for Christ. This is the work Christ has called us to do. If we stay focused on this, we will have done well.

I agree David: absolutely..why grow your church to large anyhow..little numbers are far better than large where it gets so large that people authomatically go into their own clicky groups instead of uniting together as one as some big churches do.Jesus said where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, there am I also.

Faithfull Prostestant churches offer people a relationship with Christ with no strings attached.

I don't know about others, but my church preaches Jesus Christ and Him crucified for our sins. When someone calls my pastor and ask him what can the church do for them, he ask them what can they do for Jesus Christ. Thank God my church doesn't cater to the world.

Why does it always have to be a denominational contest?! Why not just be happy that Protestant church members belong to Christ? Nothing against the existence of denominations, but it's quibbling between them that often keeps the Word of God from taking root in the hearts of unbelievers.

Our church isn't protestant, it's Christian. Jesus is the center of it, not Mary and some other big guys on the top. Jesus attracts the people.

I don't know about the RC Church, but my church has an outreach to the poor with a food pantry and clothing closet. After a person has visited these, they are followed up at Thanksgiving and Christmas and invited to a special dinner where they receive a food basket and Christmas presents for their kids.

There have been various techniques for church congregations to use to increase their membership. Evangelism Explosion is a program developed by D. James Kennedy this program has a proven track record for use for more that twenty five years. It use involves a two person visitation team. There are also church consultants who specialize in church growth. I recommend using local school photo year books and reverse engineering the last names against local directories to build up a K-5 church school program.
