God always keeps his promises. The scriptures teach of God's covenants. The problem is not with God. The problem is with man.

To put it simply a covenant is a contract, an agreement, a promise.

If God does not keep his promises then there is no salvation.

i believe that God is able to keep His promises to the degree that people are willing to keep trusting Him.

if it was all up to God then God would not require anyone to have faith. we would not have to pray and ask for anything. we would not ever get tested or challenged to let go what we believe God would do.

many people dont get teaching that faith needs developement like a seed planted in the ground needs growing time.
so they ask, and they set the fulfillment time, then wonder why God doesnt keep His promises.

yes god keeps his promises. hes never let me down

Logic tells me God keeps his promises, since if it were not so then He would be a liar! and since God is holy, He can never lie. Therefore, if we believe God's word, He is always true to it, and will keep it, Halleluia!

God keeps all of His promises,he has to,there is no evil or deciet in Him.The problem is that he fulfills them in His time, not mans and that tends to make man think that God isn't keeping them.

Titus 1
1Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness,
2In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began,
3But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour,

Hebrews 6:13For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself.

Galatians 3:18
For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Only the lawyers call God a liar!

To Whosoever has an ear to hear?

God's promises are ALWAYS kept!!!! It's just that MANY rarely know what it takes to receive His promises.

To receive the promises of God takes a heart to do the will of the Father. To gain such a heart take our complete obedient surrender to the Will of God's DRAWING of us in Christ. Do to forgetting this fact many think/feel that they may acquired/maintained a heart to do the Will of the Father under their own volition, but they can not. This is why it's said all glory goes to God.

We're looking to claim credit for His glory when we try to control our circumstances through our own choices and all we're claiming is sin and that is why many do not receive His promises!!!

GOD IS DIVINE AND HOLY. It is His nature. Because of His holiness He can not sin. Because of His holiness He can never break His covenents, or promises. EVER.

He must keep His promises. He has to be true to himself.
---BIILL on 8/11/08

I believe He does. Over and over again you see it in the Bible. And if it ever seems ike He hasn't, it can either be because you realy weren't promised by God or that its just not the right time. Look at Noah. God promised to never flood he earth again and that is how we got the rainbow!

"All of the promises of God are in Christ 'Yes' and 'Amen' to the glory of God through us."

All of the promises made to the fathers were fulfilled when God raised Jesus from the dead. The "yes" belongs to God and He has already said yes. The "amen" (so be it...kinda like Mary who said be it unto me according to Your Word) must be our response. After yes and amen comes the glory of God through us.

I believe God always does keep His promises. But what about those promises that depend on another person's obedience. I had gotton many promises that God would restore my marriage. But it ended in divorce and my ex ultimately remarrying. I believe the promise God made me was also conditional upon my ex-husband's wilingness. There are alot of factors to consider concerning God keeping His promises. But does He ever lie? No, never. He can be fully trusted.

God keeps every promise he makes. We don't think that he is keeping them because we complain all the time and we don't allow him to do what he needs to do. With our impatience, God makes us wait longer until we stop complaining.

Yes, for all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen (so be it). 2 Cor. 2:20

Hello Brother Lupe, I have taken to answering only the blogs that I feel need answering, as there are a lot of questions being asked with good intent, but tend to lead to arguement. God bless all!

Tommy I had not seen you for a while, as before, I do believe that God's promises ALL come to pass. I had just read a book on "God Promises You" by Charles Spurgeon. I was wondering how others felt. As Scripture puts it, "There hath not failed one word of all His good promises" 1 Kings 8:56. I hold on to that more then anything. The promise is because of the hope we have in Christ. Welcome back

Donna, your reply to lupe is good for a warm, fuzzy feeling, but, the truth is God keeps ALL of His promises. Read the Bible carefully and you will see that He is faithful. He keeps all of His promises, for good and for evil. He promises good to those who will keep His law and destruction to those who would reject Him.
---tommy3007 on 4/30/06

Lupe, to those who have said God rarely keeps his promises probably has never stood on one of them, nor believed them. If you believe them, say them, nourish them, and speak them over your life, they DO INDEED come to pass. I've had MANY come to pass. GOD IS NOT A MAN THAT HE SHOULD LIE!!!!!
---Donna9759 on 4/28/06

He always keeps His promises but often they are CONDITIONAL. Also, He fulfills them according to his schedule not ours! P.
