What Do You Know About Heaven

Folks, can you please tell me what you know about heaven, what it's like, etc., AND how does your spirit get there? Do they see themselves leaving earth? What's the ride up like? Will our spirit man feel the elements of the earth when travelling to heaven after their death?

Lawrence: what about the Tree of Life that produces a different fruit each month? That sounds awesome to me--and I will actually enjoy eating healthy in Heaven! :)

First, you must get rid of all your delusions. As God said to me one day>>"Don't worry, I will catch you in my arms".... HEAVEN---There will be singing praising the living God. Loving Him, loving on Him, yes! God will give us all assignments. Perhaps in charge of a planet or two. I would think praying, too. I have heard some say something about God's people traveling through space at lickety- split.

I think it's 1,500 mile square, Jesus sitting on His Throne, & has gates of pearl, walls of jasper, A street as pure gold ( false teachers say streets of gold ), 4 & twenty Elders some O - Testament people, The Church Saints, 144,000 Jews, innocent ones from the white throne judgment, worshiping Jesus for ever & for ever.

Heaven Is a Spiritual place, & there will be NO phys carnal things up there.

As for where is Heaven we know that the heavens are spoken about In Isisah as been located above the clouds how far, Spritually far, Abraham was seen as angels assended and decended from heaven.

I know that this will one day be on Earth and it will be Brand New and that if we make it in we would not have imagined it in our wildest dreams because we have never heard or seen the fullness of it, but we know it will be magnificent. Can imagine the rapture WEEEEEEEEEEE!

Donna you will see a biblican description of Heaven in Revelation 21. As to your other questions, except for the bible telling us we will meet the Lord in the air, no one knows.

There is not a whole lot said about heaven in Scripture except for the Book of Revelation; more is said about hell. Because I am already in Christ I believe that I will be instantly in heaven when I breathe my last breath.... there will be no "travel" as such.

Read the book, "90 Minutes in Heaven" and you will be amazed!

...and don't forget the cheesecake, a_Catholic, don't forget the cheesecake.

I went to heaven for a week holiday and there was beautiful music, guided tours but above all, lots of chocolate cakes and ice creams. They also serve Pepsi and Coke up there.

Part 2 of 2. I know The Father has given me a superimposed ability to receive comprehensive insight into His method of operation and the ability to interpret life for man as He does. An ability that gives me direction and confidence in the earnest expectation of eternal life. In all this I experience heaven as I know it daily. I know of no other heaven other than the sky. As far as leaving earth, earth is my eternal home.

Donna, These things i know. I know heaven is The Fathers abode. I know He abides within those He has called. John 14:23. I know He will abide within me forever. John 14:16,17. I know that His indwelling presence takes me to a higher level of spiritual awareness and endues me with power. Part of 2

Debbie, I know you are new here and everything but I have heard the trumpet sounding, seen the risen Christ, smelled the Rose of Sharon, and tasted and seen that the Lord is good every time you have posted.

Fred, lol you were saying we don't have a clue where heaven is, I was just explaining where it is...UP. Now back to my original question, what's it like when you die? How does your spirit man leave? do you feel the elements of the earth when you're on your way up to heaven?
---Donna9759 on 5/4/06

Part 2 Read Ephesians 1,2 We obtain our inheritance by taking that spiritual trip to heaven because that is where our inheritance is. Have you grown (growth is part of our inheritance), if so you have made that trip to the heavenlies to obtain that growth. Satan doesn't like you traveling through His territory, He is the prince and power of the air.You will be attacked every time. We are blessed with all spiritual blessing in heavenly places.

Part 1 1Cor. 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

We can not possibly know the beauty and wonder of heaven because it is past our mind's ability to immagine, but God has given us a place in the heavenlies which we can appropriate for ourselves today.

This is merely my personal speculation so dont read things into it: I see the new Jeruselem that is described in Rev. 21:16 giving measurements for a spherical planet. It describes a 1,500 mile cube, but could that be to give us the points that create the sphere. Eight points is the easiest way to define a sphere. Did God put complex geometry in the Bible? Could it be another example of the Bible being ahead of its time? Interesting to think about.

Donna, It does not say there is no heaven. The context is when Jesus returns (Day of the Lord), there "WILL BE" a new earth & heaven. Remember, this is Jesus showing John of the things to come. It has not happened yet. If it has, I'm in trouble.
---Fred_S. on 5/4/06

Fred, then where is God sitting on His throne? He is not below, he is not HERE on earth, so he must be ABOVE. The story of Abraham and the rich man who died, the rich man was looking UP, amen? David mentions "if I go down to Selah, thou art there." So hell is BELOW. God takes us up, not down and doesn't leave us on this planet. So heaven is above the clouds.
---Donna9759 on 5/4/06

Rev. 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. We can speculate all we want, but the above verse tells me that we don't have a clue until it happens.

Alan, if hell is in the center of the earth, thus why volcano's explode and you see all that fire coming out of earth, then I believe Heaven is UP above the clouds. The bible says: "Jesus looked up" and then he prayed. Amen?
---Donna on 5/4/06

A more fundamental question to answer before we can ask how we travel there, is Where is heaven?
---alan8869_of_UK on 5/4/06

We have glimpses of glory in the bible but: 1 Corinthians 2:9, "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."
