I'm not afraid of death, I've been close several times. I will die as Christ died for me.

But there are two resurrections...

First, is when Jesus physically returns, at the trump, when every eye shall see Him where the dead in Christ shall rise first and the living will be caught up with them.

The second resurrection is at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ where the rest of the dead throughout all of history shall rise and be judged from the Book of Life.

Blessed are the ones risen in the first resurrection, Christians most favored by God, for they shall not see the second death.

The Lord says that the whole world will be deceived by them(AC & FP), Except those who's names are written in the book of life...

Does your righteousness exceed that of the Pharisee's & Sadducee's, of old, If not you better start figuring it out, not much time left...

Every christian that may still be here will recognize him(AC),thru some research i've found out that their are millions waiting for him to serve him as God on Earth,
Why? I guess mommy did'nt hug them enough or someone died and they blame God or this or that!
Maybe because it's easier to be Evil then it is to be Good!

Take the blade. Regardless of anyone's point of view on the time line of the rapture vs. Tribulation, it all works out the same in the end. We need not worry about these things, only be aware so that we may not be deceived. On no authority does anyone claim to know the actual events or times. We have a purpose and it is not to dwell on these things(Luke 12:35-48, 17:20-37, 22:all,)

I will definitely take the latter as I serve only one god and I want to be in that rapture and go to meet my savior and hear his beautiful voice and look into his beautiful loving eyes...

When the anti christ comes, I will be in heaven. All born again will be in heaven via the rapture.

Jack, you said youre convinced believers in pre-trib rapture will be first to worship the Antichrist.
Do you place the interpretations of the end times up in with essential doctrines? Just curious. Seems to me that it is a secondary issue that can be debated, but should not divide Christians. Also, the televangelists may not be right on all things, but they are trying to witness for the lord. If they have the essentials correct, do we condemn them if their secondary interpretations dont match ours?

If Van Impe, Hagee, LaHaye, etc. were to knock on my front door reciting John 3:16, I'd not believe them if I'd not already read it for myself.

BTW--are the LaHayes still pro-choice, or have they repented?

Pre-trib rapture is the popular view now. Fortunately for Hagee and Van Impe that's what people want to hear.( Never fear, we're outta here).I'm leaning toward mid-trib, myself, but not because I think God wants to "test" the church. We are not appointed to "wrath" from God, but the "great Tribulation" is due to the spirit of antichrist and his eventual rule, not the wrath of God.

Barbara, John Hagee and Jack Van Impe says that Christians will be out of here by then. We will be raptured, but I'm not so sure I believe that. The bride of Christ wasn't meant for wrath, but it is (the bride) tested, amen?

Jack, I have found that the dispensationalist views have become the unpopular viewpoint. Fire and brimstone preaching clears the pews. Also, popular media like the history channel uses men who criticize the dispensationalists to help prove their "new bible evidence" for silly theories. Seems like the churches have been pulling away from dispensationalist views to modernize their messages to tickle ears. The Joel Olsteen types that preach lifestyle philosophy rather than Biblical truths.

The Mark of the Beast is what we do with our hand or what we think or believe. Revelation says that the whole world will be deceived. Read the first protestants to see who the Antichrist is. A beast is a political/religious power. The same as the little Horn of Daniel who would seek to change times and laws (ten commandments and day of worship). The rapture is when Christ comes, not before the antichrist. Read each verse in context and pretext.

Barbara If you are defining christian as Christ follower, I Lay my head on the guillotine. Why, because of the truth The Father has given me to embrace.

John, it might be out of order and offensive, but truth frequently is, and it has been shown to me that this is the case.

I know of a minister who personally did NOT buy into the whole dispensationalist apocalyptic scenario, but admitted that if he didn't teach it from the pulpit, he'd be fired.

American pop-evangelicals (God's spoiled brats) simply want their ears tickled.

3 Phases of resurrection in 1 Cor. 15:23,24
1- "Christ the firstfruits:" see Matt. 27:52,53
2- "afterward they that are Christ's at his coming."
3- "Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God,"
---chris on 5/8/06

1 Corinthians 15
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

Matthew 27
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Jack. I totally disagree that pre trib is a new teaching. Jesus taught to be ready for His coming because no one knows when it will be. It can be a lot sooner than 7 years. Your comment that those who believe in a pre trib rapture will be the first to worship the beast is out of order and offensive.

ON the basis of my exhaustive study of the Scriptures, I am convinced that those who are waiting for a pre-tribulation rapture will be among the first to fall down and woship Antichrist. It's impossible to give the history of a pre-trib rapture in 85 words, but it was never heard of before 1830 and only fairly recently has it become popular--and then only in the USA.

Moderator - I agree Jack as it's the apostate church that brings the Anti-Christ into office.
