Churches Promoting Da Vinci Code

Why are the seeker friendly churches promoting the Da Vinci Code with books and videos? Why aren't they just educating their congregations from the pulpit or Sunday School? Shoud the Da Vinci Code be a money making opportunity for the church to sell their materials?

It's blasphemous!

Those churches are accepting a lie and falling for Satan's trap. 2Tinothy4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from truth, and shall be turned to fables. 1Timothy1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions rather than Godly edifying which is in faith:so do. That makes it plain, leave man's empty foolishness alone. Satan sets traps to take Christians minds off of the truth of God,to occupy minds with vain fairytales, instead of the Word of God.

I believe Pastors should warn about partaking in ANYTHING that could cause confusion and doubt, but to "preach" an entire sermon centered around this book or the movie? No. and certainly not to waste time marketing anything having to do with it, even if it is protesting or debating it or whatever. That is a distraction from the enemy

I think the churches must teach their people about this film. It contains a lot of biblical mistaikes, so the cristians should know the truth and then to comunicate it to the other person who do not know the truth. God bless you! (Im Lorena B. Kuray from Buenos Aires, Argentina).

Many of our churches today have forgotten who their source is. They feel they need to help God supply their need. Money should not be the emphasis in any meeting. When it becomes the focal point, man starts usurping authority from the Lord. Speaking the Truth in Love is set aside to please the fleshly side of man. I don't believe the Da Vinci Code has any place in the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I do not know of any churches who are making money from this story. I know that some are informing them of the inacuracies of the story in venues other than the pulpit because of time issues and discussions. It is the responsibility of the Christian to speak the truth and since so many people are reading false info. led to be fact in this book and soon to be movie, the church must stand for Christ.

I can honestly say that I am SO GLAD that we don't hear such nonsense from our pulpit. All you are gonna hear from there is Christ and Him crucified. Got to miss the Y2K craze the same way. Father so faithfully delivered us from preaching anything but Christ.

I'm not too sure just what you mean by this question. Especially the term "seeker friendly church" is new to me.

But if you want to see some good refutations of the errors in DVC, go to
