Some people say that Jesus is praying for us in heaven: 24 hours, praying to God on our behalf. Is this true?

Some people believe that our prayers cannot reach the Father except through the son. I myself have no problem with this belief since I pray to the Father in the name of the son. I cannot Scripture prove this belief is wrong. Do you have an opinion about this?

He ever liveth to make intercession for us. His ever living to make intercession is the foundation for the church being a house of prayer for all nations. It all flows out of Him.

1 John 2:1, "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:"

It says "he ever makes intercession for us".
But by intercession it doesn't mean praying to God literally, it means the mediatorship offered by the cleansing power of the blood he shed.

the bible says that jesus is at the right hand of the father continously interceeding for the saints.

G1793
ἐντυγχάνω
entugchanō
en-toong-khan'-o
From G1722 and G5177; to chance upon, that is, (by implication) confer with; by extension to entreat (in favor or against): - deal with, make intercession.

Hebrews 7:25 - Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
So I guess Jesus does pray for us since it's written in the scriptures.

Jesus did pray for us you will find this in John Chapter 17. Today Jesus is our advocate.(lawer) and is he represents us when the accuser accuses us before the Father. An interesting sidenote to this fact is that Jesus has never lost a case as an advocate before the Father.

Jesus is God.
Why does He need to pray for us?

Jesus is there for every time I call on the Father. Jesus makes intercession for me when I say "Father, in Jesus' name".

John 16:26-27. "In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. 27 No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God." God the Father loves YOU Himself. No Jesus DOES NOT pray to the Father for us.

All your answers so far are mostly wrong!
"Intercession" in these quotes refers to the blood of Jesus which "speaks better things than that of Abel" that blots our sins away. Intercession is used in a completely different sense than the notion that Jesus prays for us. Read John 16:26-27

1Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Jesus, as our Advocate, intercedes on our behalf.

I do believe that Jesus is praying for us. Jesus loves us so much that if he carried a wallet, our picture would be in it.

Yes. Read Romans 8:34
