I will be 54 years old Jan 25. I cannot ever remember not believing in Jesus, but I have not always served him because I was ignorant of the truth and raised by christians that compromised with the world rather than being seperate and having the witness of his Spirit doing a work by faith.
I am thankful for God's patience.
---exzucuh on 11/27/07

Thank you Shaun T, for your kind words and thoughts also. And I do want to continue to encourage you to keep up the good fight, for if even 1 person comes to the knowledge of the truth through your posts or any of the posts that all of us on here submit, then the fight will be well worth it. Truth MUST prevail against the forces of darkness and the doctrines of demons!! Praise Jesus!!! Be blessed and blog-on fellow Soldier of Christ! :-)

50+ and proud of it..Glad of all the experiences I have been able to experience so far, would change very few, if I could. Looking forward to many more. Few gray hairs yet.. but, consider them a badge of honor, having earned every one of them.

Hey Mike, thats so cool that you quit smoking! Do you have any tips, other than pray a lot?
My mom used to give all the kids a bath at the same time in the basement wash tubs. There were 2 of them and 5 kids. They were really deep! I can hardly remember that...I guess she wanted to get the closthes washed and kids washed all at the same time.

Gosh, some of you guys are really, really, really old... ;o) Currently I'm hanging out at 44... While growing up, we were one of the first houses on our street to have color TV (60s) and shag carpet (early 70s). And if there was a new gadget out, my dad probably had it. Remember when we got our microwave - my mom asked my dad why we were getting another TV.
---daphn8897 on 2/5/07

Wel, I'll be 55 this March 5th. Growing up in E. Oklahoma, we didn't know what an indoor bathroom was, we used the outhouse. Running water meant that we had to run to the well to get it. We used a wringer washer and tubs to wash our closes in and children took baths in them. The old folks had a galvanized tub they took a bath in. We had to heat the water on the stove. In the summer, we put the tub on the back porch and took our baths out there. Several of us used the SAME water.

Yuk Elder I don't want any eggs frozen or otherwise I don't eat eggs, particularly ones hopped up on your coffee!
---NVBarbara on 2/3/07

Barbara I am barley old enough to shave. Don't tease my coffee. That green haze in LA is the fumes from the steam.
Mike my chickens are in a special coup. Their heads are inside and warm so they can eat my coffee grains. Their backs are outside so the eggs freeze. That causes them to shoot further. One of those eggs hit a satellite missile in Fla. last week and caused it to explode.
Barbara moved but not outta range.
I will shoot scrampled eggs at Barbara so they will feel at home.......

Thanks Mike for raining on my parade! Elder is an upstanding Godly man, but I think he may shave a year or so off his age every year! That coffee of his has preserved him pretty well, I think its the formaldehyde additive he puts in!

Hey Knothead, that thing that you call Mama gave God the recipe for dirt. Watch what you say or I will invite you over for a game of "Skin the Cat." (Knothead is Barbara's cat.... for now.)

Happy Birthday dear, what day in March?
---NV_Barbara on 2/1/07

Elder is old enough to remember before Coca Cola was invented! They had Taffy pulls, but there were no stores where you could BUY candy! No cars, no TV, no A/C, got warm around the fireplace. Took a bath once a month whether he needed it or not, but only in the summer. He still thinks that TV is just a fad that will die out. He runs his computer with a gerbil running real fast in its circular cage. His teeth have been history for a LONG time, watching him 'gum' corn on the cob is a riot, but we love him.

As a child, I thought I was everything. I grew up thinking that I was Italian/German. I got kick out of the house at 16 and found that I was Irish/German. My mom passed away a couple of years ago (I haven't seen her in thirty years) when I found I was Irish/Jewish (on my mom's side).

When I take the neighborhood kids to the park, the youger one's ask how old I am. I then point to the mountains and say "i was born before they became mountains fifty five years ago."

Well, I just turned 118.

I am not as senile as I used to be I just forget quicker.
My hobby is smacking myself and watching the dust fly.

My mother always told me that I was a beautiful baby. And certainly I don't think anything has changed. My mother also took me aside when I was 10 years old and told me," you are my favorite child"(I was the third of four children) I am so thankful for almighty God giving me the parents that I had. I am certain they are both in heaven and I look forward to long meaningful discussions with them again. My age? Very old.

Happier, that's for sure. Civil.
---Rural_Cafe on 1/30/07

When people ask my mom how old she is, she says she doesn't remember her age, but she does remember the year she was born because unlike her age, it stays the same, which is: 1919. As for me sometimes I feel like I'm 12. Sometimes I feel like I'm 90. My for-real(?) age is 51. i think.
God bless,

I've no idea what my CD count is Mike, but both sides of a large entertainment center are full. Don't freak my fellow Christians, but before I moved to Vegas I was part owner of a blues club in the South. My biggest thrill was meeting John Mayall (the father of British blues) a few times and spending time chatting with him over dinner. About half my CDs are signed, cool!

BBS is dead, I think Howdy Doody is still with us though! If I had to grow up watching "SpongeBob" I would have stopped watching TV long ago!

I like your music choices Mike. Do you like old blues, Robert Johnson, Gatemouth Brown etc, or newer styles? My dear one took me to Chicago for our anniversary, primarily to visit "Legends" and hear Buddy Guy,awesome blazing ax! We saw Etta James here in Vegas a couple of months ago, great! We had "At Last" played at our wedding.
---NVBarbara on 5/28/06

Nellah: FYI Born in Buffalo, New York, the host of the Howdy Doody show was Buffalo Bob Smith. At the beginning of each show he'd ask, "Hey boys & girls, what time is it?" All the kids in the peanut gallery would chime in unison, "It's Howdy Doody time!" At that time, I was a grade schooler growing up in Buffalo...a very good time.
---Leon on 5/27/06

MikeM; You may be right. I just know that I had to watch a New York channel to get the show. So, I just assumed it was out of New York.
