#2 - Our old man or old Adamic nature was crucified with Christ provisionally and it becomes real in our lives as we reckon as God reckons, that is, that it is dead. The good news is that what sin we commit in the old nature does not affect the New Creation at all. They are two totally separate entities, one holy and the other ful of sin or sin dwells in the flesh. Remember, there is no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus - Rom. 8:1. That can only be possible in the Holy New Creation life.

#1 - The nature of the New Creation life which we receive when we are born again is the very nature of Christ, because He is the New Creation life. It is sinless, pure and holy because Jesus is all those things. WE now have two natures living in one earthen vessel. We have the old creation or old man and this new heavenly race, the New Man. II Cor 5:17.

When we get born-again we will see fruit from it. The FRUIT or Produce of the Spirit is listed in Galatians 5:22-23. When we walked in the spirit we produce that fruit. When we walk or conduct ourselves in the flesh(our old-man) we produce the works of the flesh.

When I became born again, I became Born of the Spirit of God. The first time I was born of the flesh, second time I'm born of the Spirit of God. We can grieve the Holy Spirit with our fleshly sins and we can quench the Holy Spirit with our sins, but sin dwells in our flesh, the Holy Spirit dwells in our spirit man, the two never touch.

#2 I believe God had a plan so that when anyone asked Christ into his heart, that Seed could remain in that person untouched by sin, pure as the first day it was put there, remaining pure and holy until His call to heaven. To me that is GRACE.

My point by asking this question is: Scripture says this New Creature that was born in us can't sin, it is holy. Many people believe that when we sin in the flesh we can lose our salvation. God knew when He placed that Holy Seed of Jesus in our heart, that we still had the ability to sin (in the flesh). The babe in Christ, as you said, hasn't fed enough on the Word of God to be strong enough to always reckon the old man dead. Infact, strong Christians in the Lord have trouble keeping the old man dead.

yea, thats the question for all mankind.the nature of the new creation is to become more and more like christ

tom- The old nature does not pass away. Old things pass away. We have two natures. Which one rules?

You have two dogs, one black one white. You feed the black dog good and barely feed the white dog. When they get into a fight, which one will win?

The same is true with our nature. We feed the flesh with tv, movies and other trash and go to church once a week if we feel like it. Tempation comes, which will win, the Spirit, or the flesh?

the term is you are a new creature the old nature passes away and a new nature replaces whether you truly committ on a daily basis to grow and understand gods word and submit your will to allow god through jesus to take control is another question.paul wrote renew your mind , think about gods word and apply his kingdom principles to your daily life and my friend the change in you will amaze you, and your friends and family.

After much formal education I had only surface knowledge. When Jesus Christ came into my life I had a "new creation" of understanding.
A certain knowing that passes human Understanding(such as eternal security). Our sins committed in the flesh do not touch this knowing because one is of man(flesh) and the other( this new creation of understanding) is of God.

Debbie I'm not sure if the sins you refer to are the ones we committed before being saved or after. If you mean before then I would say that they cannot affect our new life in any negative way because they are totally forgiven (and forgotten by God). However they can affect us in the sense that those who have been forgiven much will be much more thankful for what Christ did to wash away that multitude of sins than a person who thinks that their sins were 'mild' in comparison.

So whatever we have our minds set on we will produce from it because each of us is a spirit, have a soul, dwell in a body.(1Thessalonians 5:23)
The nature we recieve is the nature of God at the momen of the new birth.(2Corinthians 5:17) If you want to know more about the nature of your new born-again spirit look at your Father, God, and His nature.

Notice that fruit is produced by a seed sown, but works come by labour. We have the fruit of the Spirit in our born-again spirit we just have to walk in it. The flesh has works it does as listed in Galatians 5:19-21.
