Like Jesus said to Nicodemus, you must be born again, born of water & of the Spirit. Mark 16 v 16, Acts 2 v's 37 - 41 which Fulfills Matt.28 v's 19 - 20. Live a clean & Holy life before God. Matt.24 v 13.

Stay away from the devil & his worldly pleasures why?, 1st.John 2 v's 15 - 16. Flirting with devil will have you in his grips & cause you to be lost.

Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Rom. 10:9,10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. It is the only way to get to heaven. You must be saved or born again.

God comes & gets you.

2 Kings 2:1 ..when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Lk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried

When I get to Heaven, it will not be because of anything I have ever done. It will be totally because Jesus paid it all on the Cross for my sins and I believe Him and rest in Him. It is by Jesus' Blood sacrifice of Himself that anybody enters Heaven, and there is no other way. If you think you have to do something to get there you have fallen from grace (Galatians 5:4).

Jesus saves, and Jesus keeps you saved .. you just keep believing.

If a person goes to heaven it will be the result was the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has done. So in order to take advantage of the offer made by Jesus Christ a person needs to accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior, asking him to come in to their life and save their soul." Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord Shell be saved"!!! Now that's good news!

jesus told his desciples, I,am the way the truth the life no one comes to the father but by me.

Here me brothers and sisters, I am speaking to all of humanity. The only sins that will deny us the Fathers presence and entry into His kingdom are to refuse the prompting of His Spirit to accept the word of His salvation through Jesus, and unbelief. What the Father wants from us more than anything else is steadfast unwavering confidence in Him. To know that He exists and is a rewarder of those that make an effort to know him. Without exercising His faith it is impossible to please Him

Sophie, in answer to your question, "How do we get to heaven?" the answer is through the "Narrow gate" the wide gate is the wrong gate. Be careful because Jesus said, "difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." During that walk to the "narrow gate" beware of false Prophets. Their fruits, "false doctrines" is the fruit they produce. While they think they are going go heaven, they will not enter the narrow gate

By becoming a born-again Christian. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." ref: John 1:12,13; 3:3-8,36.

2. Every true Christian will struggle with sin. Some more then others. So long as we live we will alway have a problem. When our time comes at death time has expired to make amends, and we will be judge by what we have done after our salvation. But in no way does someone lose it for sinning after he was saved. If someone lives like the devil, it only shows he was never really saved because all those that are saved want so much to live for Christ.
---Lupe2618 on 5/25/06

Donna, my point in saying that was that there are many folks who have been born-again, but still sin & will go to heaven. They have been born-again spiritually, but their soul hasn't been renewed.(Romans 12:2)
---Rickey on 5/25/06

theres nothing you can do.but you can receive the free gift of eternal life by admitting that you are a sinner, that jesus was gods son, that he died on the cross for you, and rose on the third day.once you do this then just ask jesus into your life. then your are acceptable to god through jesus. its the only way.

Bruce said: "If you become a Christian by being baptized..."

Rx: You are absolutely correct *if* you believe that baptism is a work that *you* do. However, if you believe that baptism is God's work, then yes, you are a Christian and can trust that God's Word accomplishes and gives what it says--Forgiveness of sins, delivers from death and the devil, and gives eternal salvation to all who believe this. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.
---Tina5349 on 5/25/06

Bruce, I got your point. Let's forget about the Baptism, I shouldn't have mentioned that.
Rickey got the point, but I don't agree with him. If we accept Jesus, then don't live like a Christian, do we still go to heaven? I say "no because that means our heart hasn't really changed, we're still carnal, and not doing the will of God, thus we're still in rebellion." THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH, did we forget that? It doesn't say "the wages of sin is death for unbelievers only." AMEN?
---Donna9759 on 5/25/06

Donna, yes. I say this because it is by grace we are saved & that not of ourselves but it's a gift from God.(Ephesians 2:8-9) I'm not saying it's right to live a sinful life. The wages of sin is death. Not neccessarily spiritual death though. It is death, or an end to, the promises of God being made full in a person's life. For instance, if a person always overeats then they are cutting his/herself off from 3rd John 2.

If you become a Christian "by being baptized", you have not become a Christian at all. Religious maybe but Christian, no. Paul taught the Galations that those who trust in faith plus any thing (this would include baptism) has nothing at all.
---Bruce5656 on 5/25/06

If we accept Jesus into our heart as our Lord and Savior by "repenting, being baptized, and believing," then don't live a Christ-like life, do we still go to heaven?
---Donna9759 on 5/25/06

God loves you so very much that He sent His only Son Jesus Christ into this world to become a Man and die on the Cross for your sins, then He rose from the dead three days later. Jesus is the only way to heaven.
