God's Rules Are Guidelines

Sin: "a transgression of a religious or moral law, especially when deliberate." I think God intended sin to be a rules to live by so that your life on earth will be all it can be. Don't touch the stove because you will get burned...i.e. don't sin because it will hurt you. Any thoughts?

I don,t like the word guidlines.Gods word guides us thru life but it,s not to be used as a general guide left for you to interupt in a way that best works for you.there are no gray areas, there is Gods way and the wrong way transgression against the word is dilebrate sin, we as carnal humans may not always be aware at the time we sin but that don,t mean it ain,t sin.sin separates us from God. the bible teaches sin not so your prayers won,t be hindered.

God did not "intend" us to sin, that is why he made Adam.

God never intended man to sin. However He did place a free will in man and that is why Adam fell, through his own free will. The only perfection we will have now is when we all get to heaven.

Earthly death is not punishment for the fall of man, it is just the result. If it were punishment, the death of a christian wouldn't be called "precious in the sight of the Lord". and why did Paul say "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"? -If it were punishment, we wouldnt end up in Heaven. Earthly death is just a fact of life, as a result of the fall of man, because originally we were created to live forever, but it's not the punishment for sin- hell is

amazing. The "death" that is the wages of sin, is spiritual death. That's why it is followed by, "but the gift of God is eternal LIFE". He said it in the old testament as well- "I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose LIFE...." Simple: You sin, you choose death (eternal torment). You repent, you choose LIFE (eternity in Heaven)

The wages or cost of sin is death or an end to something. For instance, premarital sex. Someone does it then they don't have God's blessing on it & have opened their ownself up to the death or end of health in an area in their life. They are literally sowing a seed in satan's garden and reaping the fruit of sickness from. Satan is the author of sickness.

The wages of sin is death...which is why we die. That does not mean we are to be killed on the spot, but that one day we will die as punishment for the first sin of Adam & Eve. I just think of God more as a father, giving all-knowing, all-loving, wise advise on how to live your life. He is not saying if you sin you go to hell, he is saying trust me, i know what you should and should not do. You will be happier and better of if you listen to me.
